- HawaiiGalGot a call from this number last night. Showed up on my caller ID. It was the 3rd call so I answered it just to see who it was. Woman with India accent going on about how she was calling from Windows and that I had been getting a lot of errors. Being Windows, this was true! So sounded plausible till it dawned on me there was no way they could possibly call all their customers (And if you have ever tried calling Windows support you know it takes ages to get someone). As I recall, every time I asked her what company she was calling from she kept saying "Windows" which also made no sense as Windows is not a company.
She told me to turn my computer on. Once I explained to her that my PC was at work, not at home, she creatively told me to turn on my laptop or other computer. Which really made no sense whatsoever. So I asked her what errors she was calling about to see what she would say. she tried to fumble her way through and then she hung up.
We are in Hawaii so clearly they are spreading this scam.- Caller: falsely "Windows"

- WilliamGot a call from this number and the guy said he was from Microsoft Technical Support and my computer was sending error messages to them. I thought it to be serious but I was cautious. After a bit of troubleshooting he said they would need to take control of my system. I then asked for a number to call them back and he gave me 1-408-786-5612. I never called back .... this is a scam. Same theme and same guy as others have reported. He was Indian or Pakistani but his name was Steve Watson. haha

- fbchefWe were getting a call every day from these people in the fall time and then it stopped for a while, now they are starting again. My husband took one of the calls and asked them if they know his windows software on his computer is infected then what is the make of his computer (he owns a Mac). They insisted and he kept asking them and they finally told him to f*** off and hung up on him. Another time, i told them that I was a IT tech and that I know how to fix computers and that they are just a scam, they didn't like that and argued with me. I told them they are wasting their time calling me as I would never fall for their story and to take me off their calling list, but they still kept calling. Now when I see this number, I don't bother answering.
- GreenLincoln| 2 repliesI have my phone set to block this number and somehow it still get's through. Infuriating!

- Nick_in_CamarilloReceived call at 8:52am PST today, 3 Feb 2012, which caller ID indicated as originating from 206-456-0661. The caller, who identified himself as being a Microsoft support technician, had a heavy accent which sounded Indian or Pakistani. There was considerable background noise which sounded like other accented voices engaged in the same activity as the caller. He claimed that my computer was badly infected and had been sending out error reports for a very long time and that I should start up my computer so that he could help me fix the problem. Suspecting a scam, I told him I could not because my hard disk had crashed at which time asked me to start up my laptop and he would solve the problem from there. I told him that I thought this sounded like a scam and a fraud and he hung up.
I googled the number provided by caller id and was directed to more than a dozen sites containing hundreds of complaints about this scam describing encounters with nearly identical scenarios- Caller: Some Lowlife Phisher

- WaldoThese S.O.B.s must be pretty busy. My mother in California just got a call from them. I just finished getting her old computer online a few days ago, perfect timing for them. She knew I had just downloaded all the service packs and updates from Microsoft so she fell for them big time. Furtunately she has a dial up connection and downloads take hours or even days to complete. She had pleanty of time to call me on her cell phone to explain what was happening. I used my high speed connection to investigate and advise. I wish I knew how to keep them from calling her again.
Google is great and this website is Awesome!- Call type: Telemarketer
- GaryI had an incoming call from this number. Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer the call. They didn't leave a message but tried to call again later. I have my phone listed with the National No Call List. I am going to turn the number in, for investigation.
- Annette RamseyI got calls from this same number, but they told me I was going to be arrested at my job or home, becuase there was a complaint against me for hakking into a bank that I have never heard of. Then they got me to send them 200.00, but luckly the pre paid visa I purchased would not work. This number is a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!
- DGThey just called to tell me about the problem with my computer. I hung up, knowing the number of phone/computer scams there are. Is there really nothing we can do about calls like this?

- Spaz anti-scammerI just got a call from our East Asian scammers....I told him that they were a bunch of crooks and I had the police on the other line. He said "No no no....we are not crooks". I laughed at him and hung up. HE CALLED ME BACK !! And started SWEARING at me!!!
I laughed at him again, called him a crook and told him to come to my house and fix my computer. My retired police German Shepard would probably enjoy a bit of garbage flavored, stupid criminal, East Asian balls..... Wait.....those scammers don't have balls!
What a bunch of crazy scamming crooks!- Caller: Washington
