Left voicemail in Chinese.

They call in Chinese because there are so many Chinese people in NY that will fall for a scam.

A female speaking in what I assume was Chinese called my cell phone today. I don’t know what she said, if she was able to obtain anything by my having answered my cell phone, etc. I hung up, googled the number, and am reporting it here.

Left a voice mail in Chinese.  I don't speak Chinese so I have no idea what she was saying.  Deleted message and blocked the number.

Just got a call that sounded in Chinese,  listened a couple of times and heard the patterns so I pressed a random number.  A man answered and spoke in Chinese,  when I couldn't speak Chinese he said... "hey, you don't speak Chinese" and hung up.

This caller has called me multiple times in the last year alone. Mostly really early in the morning but occassionally in the afternoon as well. I’ve only received one voicemail and it was a recorded woman’s voice and it sounded like it was either mandarin or Chinese. When I googled the number it came up as the Chinese Consulate. Pretty sure it’s a phishing scam.

I got a call and voicemail from this number at 10:59 am on the 6th of September 2018.  I didn’t answer, and when I checked the voicemail I received a message in Chinese that repeated a couple of times.  The AT&T app on my phone identified the call as “suspected spam.”

Got two calls from this number today. I've gotten numerous other calls/voicemails that seem to be a recorded voice speaking Chinese. The frequency is quite annoying.

My married name is Chinese so of course my number was targeted. I speak no Chinese, nor does my husband. I didn't answer.

Rcvd multiple calls at work SCAM

Received a “wake up” call @ 6:55 AM Nov. 8, 2018 from the Consulate General (212 244 9392. With no time to dressI fell naked over my dog to get the phone but by the time I made it to the phone the call was going to message. The message seemed to be in Chinese (?). I thought they were asking us to surrender immediately and to exit our home with our hands over our heads as a result of the trade war.

Received call from this phone in a UN landline

Got a call  from this number this morning. As others have noted above, I've also gotten numerous other calls/voicemails all in Chinese. Almost every day.

I received this call at 5:22 am - interesting that this is another spoof call.  I did not pick up. Nuisance!

Received a call from 212-244-9392. Didn't answer, no message left.

Robocall spoofing the Chinese Consulate from NYC.   They are seeking morons to give them US money.

Got a call from this number yesterday but didn't answer because I don't get calls from NYC. Looked up the number on the internet and found a Quartz story mentioning this scam. The number that called me was 212-244-9392. They left no voicemail. I'm blocking the number now.
