NONE of this makes any sense. calling here at 11:59 pm. So, I searched WHILE it was ringing and (cause i dont know the # and its late)... & I found this page. No message left, but after reading only TWO pages on this site, this seems insane. there is no rhyme or reason behind it.

Ok, well, it's obviously someones CHEATING boyfriend, or husband, or wife or someone at a mental hospital OR an inmate trying to steal personal info... OR all of the above from those who SOMEHOW  KNOW WHO THEY ARE CALLING.... names and addresses wanting to harass and or ask for our CC #?

or could be Professor Plum doing it in the library with a candle stick!

i have recently placed about 7 listings on Craigslist. (only sold one item even tho all dirt cheap prices).

*** SO, maybe if all of you have done the same, that could be the connection. (???) ***

because about 98% if all the emails i get from craigslist are scams. After they all ask for my personal info so they can send a check and give me an extra $50 for my trouble (when every listing says cash only) i tell them all in a reply back... CASH ONLY, i have no bank account and then tell them ill give it to them for free if they show up in the next two hours. or i tell them to F*** OFF. cause its BS to give false hope when you need money & selling things you really dont want to sell but have too.

So, could it be a CraigsList connection here?

got a call from this number on my cell phone, there was no response when i answered.

My mom received calls from this number all night last night. It was a collect call and a man saying "cloud nine I'm watching you" my mom called the police and they told her they had received several other calls including a 93 year old woman trying to wire $3000 because they had her convinced they kidnapped her grandson. This is in a small town in Iowa.

I have received over 30 calls from 2149695489. There is usually a message saying it has something to do with a collect call. I also received a message from someone I do not know.

Got a call from this number 05/07/2012 at 1:54 pm - I didn't answer but when trying to call back it said "AT&T can help you find a business such as the one you called in the area as the number you have called is not in working order...".  I don't know who it is, but I'm glad I didn't answer.

I just received a collect call from my soon to be ex-husband. He was calling collect from a payphone in Chicago, and since he was trying to call my cellphone collect, I had to enter my card number to accept the call. It was a legitimate call as I spoke to him personally. But, they never told me the billing info and I can't call the number back as it says it is disconnected. How do I find out how much I'll be charged for the 4 minute call before it shows up on my bank statement?

5/17/2012   my fiance' is traveling from Fl. to be here with me in n.nevada. so I get this call sounded like an operator say's marie is  calling,so I said yes! the op. said debit or credit card? i asked for another payment option, no other options! said i would try to call her back! & hung up.when icalled back it was a recording that said "we can direct you to similar businesses since the  #   you are calling is no longer in service! talk about being confused! now I'm worried too!..WOW!

Got a collect call just after 3:00 a.m. My roommate says it sounded like my son, but the call didn't go through when he tried accepting it. Good thing, looks like. My son shouldn't be anywhere near TX.

Does anyone remember how the black box system works? I'm wondering if that's what's being used to reroute the calls... so it LOOKS LIKE it came from a payphone, but didn't really.

My boyfriend is in Philadelphia and lost his cell phone so I've had a couple of collect calls with Philly area codes. Now this call came in and since they couldn't bill to my cell phone, they asked for a credit card.I started to pull my credit card until the recording said it was $25 for the first three minutes! Then I looked at the number a bit closer and found this site.CRAZY!!!

I received a call from this number today and I was expecting a collect call from my son in Lafayette, LA, but I know 214 is the Dallas, TX area code.  I listened to the automated message which did not identify who was trying to call me--there was no sound after it said "collect call from . . ."  When they asked for my credit card # I hung up.

I have also had experience with people in jail and the process they have for making calls, which is exactly what this seemed to be.  In all probability, inmates in Dallas, be it jail or a halfway house, are working a scam to get your credit care number.  Be verty careful.

Pay Phone, collect call. The phone number was out-of-state area code, so I didn't answer it. A message was left stating the name of the person trying to call me collect. It was someone I knew.

Got a collect call from "Ben" from this number at 5:22am this morning. Contacted the only Ben I know via cellphone, wasn't him. Obviously declined charges.

I got a call from same number and did not answer. The person did leave a voicemail though and it was someone I knew calling from a payphone in nyc just 3 blocks from my office. So perhaps this is just some wacky public payphone situation. Can be from someone you know or a scammer using payphone.

Received a collect call request from an automated voice which sounded like it said my girlfriend's name.  Then the voice prompted what sounded like her voice saying her name.  I called back and reached an automated phone directory giving me two options for businesses with similar numbers, ATT and an LLC of some sort.  The lady is camping and I can't get a hold of her, so am very uncomfortable.

Sorted it.  My girlfriend emailed me.  She was indeed calling me collect from a Northern California pay phone.  The request on the phone wasn't clear and when I heard the amount, $18.50 for the first three minutes and $1.99 each additional minute, I thought it was a scam.  Well, bottom line is it is a scam.  That's an absurd amount of money they're charging on an already existing network.  [***].

This number belongs to Faisal Al Sharari and he is sex trafficking minors and stealing identities.
