Thank you for this website - just got the strange call from thomas landis law office wanting to speak to my husband.  would not tell me in regards to what unless i confirmed my husband's last four of his ssn.  i told him i would not do that over the phone and stated he is out of the country and to take my name off of whatever list they have.  i could tell it was bad news.  the guy said they will continue to call me at every legal opportunity they can. hopefully it they will stop since i blew them off.  i know we don't have any unaccounted debt.  curiousity did get me though - so glad to see i was right!

I've been receiving calls from a woman saying her name is Jennifer from the 215-642-3400. She will leave an 800 number for a man name Larry. I'm a woman, NOT a man! She left a message today stating that if the guy didn't call her back today, she'd take leeeeeeeeeeeeegal action. I know that's not the way to spell it but that's how she said it. I'm NOT threatened by anyone. I called back to her extension and she told me that's the number he gave. I told her, "well he doesn't live here and I don't know him, please don't call again". She said in a nasty tone, "ma'am, I'm trying to tell you". I just hung up. I told the woman she has the wrong number. I dialed back to get another rude woman answering the operator's extension. Sounding like she's from the streets said, "if you be nice, we'll take your number off our list and right now, you don't sound nice". I told her, "lady, f_ck you" and hung up. I will file charges against him and the idiots working for him. I don't appreciate being harrassed by bill collectors and to make it bad, they're not looking for me.

they said it was a personal call and to call them back in reference a decicion they were going to make on my behalh?

Thomas George Landis is a licensed attorney in PA.  I would report him to the bar authorities.  He should not be practicing law and giving a bad name to other collection agencies and attorneys who use diplomatic and legitimate means to resolve debt matters.

I have received numerous calls from this "attorney" concerning a credit card which now has doubled from the original amount.  This card was paid off to another agency last November.  They "claim" to own the account.  This is like Who's on First!  Debts going from one agency to another.  They finally admit the account is paid in full, but it's still on my credit report!  This should be illegal!

It's April 2009 and this fraudulent THOMAS LANDIS with tel 215 642 3400 alledged that I owe miserable sum of money from an account I DO NOT Recognize, on top of that, it does not show in any of my recent credit report.  The alleged debt is already far beyond the allowed SOL/statute of limitation.....
There has to be somewhat to stop this FRAUD!!!

The caller by the way said he is a para-legal; Name is Dexter Knight........ALL FRAUD

Has any actually filed a complaint with the Disciplinary Board of Pennsylvania?

Thank all of you leaving messages about Attorney Landis.  My husband and I received a message from Ms. Lane from his office saying she needs to speak to us right away, that it was very important.  After doing some digging I came across this blog.  Now there is no need to call them back.  Thank you!

Okay so last night a Mr Silverstein called about an account that my husband had. The thing is it is an account that my husband has not been able to get caught up on. With that being said. Mr. Silverstein said he was going to contact my bank here where I live and that I needed to get an attorney.
I am going to contact the state of PA and the bar and anyone else I need to...I am pissed!

i get calls from this several times a day.
 
i have received a message on my voice mail for someone i do not know, they even left social security number for this person.
 
i have asked them to quit calling, they refuse.
 
told them not to call me during working hours so they call 2 or more times during working hours.  i have had 7 calls on 1 day.

they will not provide mailing address or any way to verify who they are.

the name given to me for person calling is Mr. Day.  

they are extremely rude, threatening, and have all right information about me except for they are calling me over what must be someone else s issues.

I received a call from these [***] twice today regarding a 7 year old bill that I previously disputed with another piece of crap lawyer.  After explaining my situation for over 25 minutes, I was put on hold, being told by the person I was speaking to that he would "go to bat" for me.  After 10 more minutes, I was forwarded to the most ignorant monkey I've ever heard!!  He claims he was a LEGAL AID and tells me he was pulled out of a meeting.  
A) Who cares? It's 8pm! and B) How the hell was I supposed to know that?

This moron begins to threaten me, which I did not take very well.  Now I'm at Defcon 5 and will be report this idiot attorney and his cohorts to every agency I can find.

I happen to be a home when this call came in.  It was a record message.  This debt is not in my name.  Debt came from a divorce.  How do you get them to stop calling. This debt was at Wells Fargo Bank.  Where I still do business but not with the ex-husband.

Received a call on my answering machine, asking for someone by the name of "Georgia" ( I think ) to please call 215 642 3400. Stated that this is very important and is not a telemarketer call. No one by that name lives here nor have they ever. Glad that I found this site while trying to find the name of the company

I'm glad everyone else has posted about this. I got a message on my answering machine that said to call 1 800 853 4000 x103. They identified themselves as Katrina from the Attorney Thomas Landis Office. Oddly, they were asking for a reference for my mom, although they had her old name and my maiden name... almost as if they were using really old data (I've been married for over 5 years). I'm glad I found this while researching the company...

I just received a call from these people.  Very abusive.  I invoked my right to cease communications and hung up.  He promptly violated the 7 day window by calling me back immediately and offering some more choice examples of his verbal skills.  I informed him that I would be reporting him and used the link offered by another poster above (thanks) to go straight to the PA Disciplinary Board website which has a nice fill-in PDF form for filing a complaint.  

Anyone who has had any interaction with these guys should take ten minutes and write it up for the disciplinary board.  The disciplinary boards take these things VERY seriously, your voice will count and it only takes a moment.

We have received 5 calls from this office today. Started this morning with a message to me (first name only) and I was to call immediately with the important reference #.  Then proceeded to call back & asked for a person w/my first name & wrong last name.  He identified himself as "John Higgins" w/T. Landis Attorneys Office.  Told him he had the wrong #.  He proceeds to the tell me who I am and this is the correct #.  I hung up on him.  He calls back and my husband told him to put us on the "Do not call" list and hung up on him.  He calls back again and I tell him again( in a not so nice way) to never call us again.  Hours go by and the same man calls back.  I picked up the phone & reminded him that we told him to never call us back & he called this morning. Also, told him they are nothing but a bunch of scam artists and hung up him again!

This number 215-642-3400 calls my house atleast twice a day. The name that comes up is att. T. Landis I have not answered it because I am sceptical on it so I goggled his name and found alot more information about this guy then I thought.
