- mts replies to CarolThen someone needs to tell your founder that the process is annoying people who may be recovering from serious conditions and the way the callers are going about it is ALL WRONG! This is NOT the way to go about trying to improve health care. The callers should be upfront about the mission to whomever answers the phone. What feels like a scam....well???????

- DianeHave you had a Hospital visit or outpatient procedure recently?? This firm apparently provides feedback to the Hospital or Health System' If you had a good experience or bad, or encountered any problems, it might be worthwhile to let them know !! Hospitals and Health Service providers take this feedback seriously to improve their patient services. Unfortunately, they do not leave a message or clue us in to the reason for the call, but they ARE ALLOWED to contact you as a Customer. (FYI).
I've received two calls, no messages, but I do want to talk to them !- Caller: HEALTHSTREAM REsearch

- Paulette replies to nancyIf this IS Healthstream then yes they are a true healthcare survey company. I know this both by being a RN of a hospital that uses them and by being a patient having taken the survey. They may be calling for any health care you have had, lab, therapy, etc or an admission. On my caller ID it does not give the name it just gives the number, I am glad to know who it is. FYI here is what they do with the info: They ask questions that the provider wants checked such as, for us, pain is a big issue and that is addressed with every admission. The results are totally anonymous and are given directly to the people who can address the issues. Also, they will ask questions about the standard of care and anything you want the provider to know they will tell them from "my toilet wasn't clean enough" to "I really liked the way nurse___ gave me a bath" Your healthcare provider is paying HUGE bucks for this so you can be sure they will pay attention to every single word and use that to make the way they care for patients better. It is relatively short and very well worth your time. I will answer the phone next time, thanks for letting me know who it is.

- mandira1. That whole FCC do not call law DOES NOT apply to research. Legally, they can call you. Instead of hanging up, just say no or "put me on your do not call list". That should fix it.
I work for them and it is appaling how rude people are when we call them. One guy could've saved his breath by saying no,but he spent the whole time it would've taken to do the survey to call me names in as many languages as he knew.
Next time ANY market research person calls you, just hear them out and tell them to put you on their do not call list. If you say no,the automatic dialer might recycle your number and they'll call again. - George in KansasI too received a call from HealthStream Research from their MD call center. I immediately asked the caller to snap for a supervisor. I spoke to a Patrick there & expressed my displeasure for his company's call. I asked to be removed from their call list. He seemed to have no problem with my request. Then I contacted my hospital & they put me through to someone in Administration. I told her what happened & again expressed my displeasure, stating I never authorized them to give out my name & number information. She explained who they were & what they were seeking, then offered to have me removed from being contacted by them.
I told this person that if they want to know how I feel about my service to pick up the phone & call me themselves. I also added that I think the world of the staff at the hospital & they have always treated me well.

- Lisa GREENEEveryday for the past 4 days I have received a call from this number----no message is left and when I pick up nobody says anything-----so annoying----I don't have time for this.
- Mr. AnnoyedNo message
- Jim - Oregon replies to CarolInteresting take. However, from the other end of the phone, these are really annoying. You are calling for my father, who is in no condition to talk to anyone on the phone. Yet, by your "rules" I cannot tell you to stop calling. So, we get called again and again. There is no escape. You are not improving anyone's health by repeatedly calling and annoying people, raising their stress levels, and disturbing their rest. Please pass this along to your management, and please find some less intrusive method to do your "research".
