This is  obviously a scam to get money. what can you do, who can you report these people too. I work for  a Government agency and they continually call my job.....323-331-9189

I received a call this morning From a Mike Cooper (eastern  accent) tellingme he is with  The State attorney Of Cal. I live inIllinois and was told to call Kevin Peterson at 323-331-9189.  Hewouldtell mewhat this law suite is about.  I startedto ask what the casefile# was hecouldn't tell me that i would have to call KevinPeteson.  I'll call themback when Hell freezes over. This is such a scam.
They said I would behaulsoffto Jail. They can't to take jail for debts anymore.

THIS is a scam i repeat this is a scam the minute you start askign questions they hang up i kept calling back the guy tried to be an automated operater and say i have a number that is not in service, then a got answer he read a script then when i ask who gave him this info he hung up called several times more stated number is not a working number

i got the same call saying i owe them money, and they said they will call the police and i was like for what? i never took any cash advance, this is a mistake and i realized that i heard alot of people in the back round with india accents as well, how do u report this? and then i was told if i had questions go ahead and ask them, so when i did of course the hung up!   how can u report this?

Been getting calls from an unknown number all day.  When I answer it is the typical silence of a robocall followed by a hangup.  Finally had a person on the line with a very thick indian accent after the 7th or 8th call... said something about a cash advance for $1000 something dollars that I took out.  Knowing that he had to be full of it since I've never taken out a cash advance (and that he wouldn't be calling from an blocked number from India to collect money if I had), I told him to take me off whatever list I was on and that I didn't want to hear from them again, then hung up.

I felt bad hanging up on the guy so I just googled to see if anyone else had gotten this call, and after hearing how these scammers have been speaking to some of you I have zero remorse and wish I had thrown in some colorful expletives to boot.

I have received the same message from 323 331 9189.  About a lawsuit.

I work at a university and this number keeps calling and asking for one of my student employees.  When I asked who the guy was, he said Ricky G.  When I asked from where, he told me from the State Attorney's Office.  Then, I had to ask what state because the number is not from our state.  He replied California.  When I asked him what business he had with this person because this is a business line, he was very rude to me and said, "Ma'am, are you going to take my contact information or not?!" When I said yes, he hung up.  They have called before and regularly hang up when you start pressing them for more information.  This is the most I have gotten from them.  Always very rude, and always with a thick middle-eastern accent.

Don't know what they want but keep telling me to get an attorney and have him call them.  When I tried to call them back the line is no longer in service.  Figure that out!!!

hey i just want to know if anyone who has gotten these calls have actually been arrested or gone to court because i got a 300 loan from a different loan place not from cash advance so im very scared and confused they asked if i had a back ground they acted like they knew i had a shady past and told me i will be arrested from work today at 2 take to california court monday and when i loose and cant pay then i will sit in jail for 3 months then i wouldnt be able to work for 2 years and they where very rude to me also can any one give me some info about this

This same guy call my partner and left a message on his voice mail with the same story that he feed you all. But this time he has picked the wrong person to f**k with! Because what he doesn't know is I have BIPOLAR and its about to kick in! There is a hand full of people in my life you don't F**k with and he is on the top on that list!

So, tomorrow I am NOT going to take my bipolar meds and I am going to call him back and set the record str8 ! So, stay tuned to this web - page and I will let you know the out come.

got a call at my job saying it was the atty generals office...they needed my atty number regarding a suit i was named in...i said thats easy i handle all legal proceedings "pro se"(self- representation)......she told me oh well i dont know what that is i am a paralegal(yeah right!!! who doesnt know what pro se is????)from the atty generals office and your atty needs to contact Dan Foster or George Sylvester who are my supervisors at 3233319189.  I did in fact call approx 15 mins later and the number was out of service.  Considering the fact that I do in fact represent myself pro se in all matters, including a bankruptcy I know for a fact that I dont owe anyone a nickel!!! This is definitely a scam.  They called me while I was in the process having my bankruptcy confirmed almost 2 years ago with the same non-sense and tom-foolery until I referred them to a yahoo article where a debtor recieved over $200,000 from suing a creditor who kept trying to collect on debts included in bankruptcy after being notified on multiple occassions.  If they call back you will see me on yahoo smiling in the near future.  This is embarrassing I have a new job and I have access to HR info and a safe full of money.  My co-workers were looking at me all squinty eyed...like why is the atty general on hold for her??

Caller calls and has thick accent. Cant understand. Says something about a legal matter and if I dont return the call he has no choice but to  wish me luck through my legal situation. Will not call back.. SCAM.

Report them to the IC3-they are currently investigating them- www.IC3.gov . Also see my other message on this thread about dealing with debt collectors and blocking the calls.

These people are leaving threatening message on my work and cell phone. I have not done business with this company before.

I received a voicemail on my cell phone which was actually a pre-recorded message of a man's mechanically altered voice asking me to call them back about a lawsuit in California being filed against me and advised me to delete the message up-on hearing. I returned the call in fear of what was going on. I was then advised I was gonna be arrested for failure to pay a debt, providing fraudulent information, & a host of other charges. I asked him where the paperwork was, why I didn't have a copy. & what was my address. He said the sheriff would have that paperwork when he came to arrest me. When I asked who was the creditor, how much was the loan for, & what account numbers were used. He provided me with one that was correct & one that was incorrect. I told him I caught him in a lie & he cussed me out. Report these guys to any agency you can within your state and anywhere you can because they are scamming people for access to their banking accounts.

They called me today saying that I was being sued & asked did I have a attorney & I said no & they told me to call 3233319189 & ask for a Michelle dombiana or something. & they had said they put 425 dollars into my account. (something I didn't ask 4) .& they told me they tried to get it out but they couldn't & I put incorrect information on my loan application. They told me that I can pay that but if I wanna go to court it's goin to be 3600 dollars & if I didn't have it I'm goin to jail for 3montjs. I got to asking questions and he got rude. They told me they would have the local police to come and get me ..I GOT SCARED & GOOGLED THE NUMBER. I'M ONLY 19 & NEVER TOOK OUT A LOAN. THEY EVEN HAD THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF MY SOCIAL & EVERYTHONG.HOW CAN I REPORT THIS TO THE REAL GOVERNMENT?

I received a call this morning, the man told me the same as all of you.  I told him to bring it on! And I know all about what they are doing. When I mention SCAM, phone went dead. I would like to put SCAM at the bottom, but it is not on there. Just say SCAM and they will hang up and most likely never call again. Do not be afraid !!!

I got a call from the same number yesterday morning at about 4:45 am it went to my voice mail: when I woke up and listened to my messages it was a man saying he was an attorney in California and that me or my lawyer should call him back immediately that he would be there from 3:00 am to 3:00 pm he had a. Strong accent like an outsourced rep that we usually get when calling our cell phone companies or such! Well I own a direct sale marketing firm/virtual call center and have been in telecommunications my entire working career and was able to identify signs of a call center in the back ground during the message so we called the number back and first it said it was a non working number then upon our 2nd attempt we got an answer and said we had a call from this number and they asked what our number was and we said that they should have it and he said that he dont have a caller ID and demanded our number and so we gave them a number that they don't have and then we asked them who they were again and he began to get rude and we did as well and then some women without an accent got on the line and said hello n then hung up so we decided to do a reverse.look up and it said that it was from California and the service provider was/is MCI Worldcom and then I Google's it and found you guys! I will be getting intouch with the BBB IRS and the federal investigations office first thing in the morning!

just recieved a call from 3233319189 shook me up a bit cause I knew nothing of what this guy was talking about. he had a heavy accent and said his name was john and said I needed to return the call as soon as I heard it, that it was time sensitive, to return the call or if he doesnt hear from me or my attorney,  the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you goodbye and take care... I called back and he said I had 3 criminal counts against me with cash advance. I told him I didnt know what he was talking about. he said that the police from the city i was in was going to come to my job to arrest me in the morning. I told him I have all my bank records and I havent used cash advance. he hung up on me.  He had also called my job and said he was with the federal govt my rgm googled the number and told me it was a scam. the message he left was pretty scarey I am trying to get ahold of city pd now to file complaint...

So I rcvd the same call today. They have called numerous amounts of time. Today a man left 2 messages sayin the exact same thing. Sayin that as soon as I got the message that I needed to call him back and not to ignore the message and that it was time sensitive and that either me or my attorney need to call him back and that if I didnt that the only thing he could do is wish me good luck for what was going to happen to me. From reading what everybody is saying it sounds like this is a scam but should I call back will that stop them from calling me or what should i do. Does anybody have any advice. Also they never say where they are calling from.
