All the same stuff, about state atty, etc about a 300 dollar Pay day loan i was running from,About I would be arrested. well I called the A.G. in calf who stated this was a scam. i NOW blow this guy's phone up to give him some of the truth.

these same people called my phone and told me the same thing. So i know it didnt sound right and itod them to send them to my house and we will go to court and then they say they just want to resolve the dept.

Recieved a call from a lady and she was rude and stated she was from State Attorneys office and I need to supply her with my attorneys name. I informed I have no clue and that if she was from Attorney's office she should be able to supply me with information. She told me to call 323-331-9189. I called and spoke with rude accented male. Who said "OMG you don't have phone number they called you on.?" I said this is the number I received call on. He then informed me to find the number I was called and call him back. He hung up quickly.

I have no idea what this is why this is going on.

Who can we contact to stop this.

Did they stop calling you after you called the AG's office??

I got the same call as everyone else! Threatening my job! We all need to report this.

I just got a call on my work number and said I was being sued and that I need an attorney. It was hard to understand his name and he was trying to say his scripting without laughing.

It is illegal for them to say what they are saying.. I used to be a trainer in the collection industry.. So if you have voice mails.. save them.. get an attorney & sue them.. A voice mail is considered to be a 3rd party.. You never know who can hear it.. Also.. if they leave a message they cannot call you again that day.. If you tell them not to call your job, they have to remove the number & not call again.. If they do, that's another aspect to include in your suit.. Look up FDCPA laws.. And I know that pitch they are giving you cause I have heard it before.. And as far as suing you, if it's a payday loan, they aren't going to do anything.. Why?? Because no company is going to sue anyone without assets (home/job) and they have a minimum they will sue for.. I've never known one to sue for anything under 2000.00.. Except student loans & evictions.. They don't care.. But they still will follow the law..

Fraudulent phone calls.

Got the same message and immediately thought something wasn't right so googled the number and found this web site. So decided to call and see what my charges were/ Mine was because it is illegal to file for a loan online in the State of Alabama. After being told I was gonna be arrested and would lose my job I asked him to remove my name and info because I am on a web site now with people saying the same. got  put on hold but could hear him breathing so said I had already contacted the real SA office and started reading some comments off here and he hung up on me! This scammer has got to go down!! Everybody start calling the police!!

I received the same call.They said I was in real trouble and to call this Kevin Peterson and to get a lawyer. Then this Richard called me and asked me if I had any pay day loans out. I said I had talked to him before and he asked me if I had any proof. Yes I do but he is not going to get it. He hung up on me. What is going on. I call western union on this richard because he got me for 400.00 before I knew what was going on. GIVE NO ONE ANY MONEY!!!!!

my cousin got this same call.  said he was calling from a law firm and that they would go to her job and arrest her if she didn't give them a cc# over the phone within one hour.  he also hung up when she started to ask questions.  hang up and do not give these people anything!

This number works in tandem with 415-935-9189.  They are convincing schemers, but do not believe a word they say.  I called the FBI and they confirmed that the calls are a scam.

we got a call from this number today saing weve got criminal charges.. never been in the state of california.... everytime i tried calling they instantly hung up on me....

I got a call rom the same number saying they was going to aresst me a work

I received a call from James Miller at LSAN  Da CA  323-331-9189 and stated I had a bill to take care of befor the end of the day or I have to go to court.

I just got the same call from the number and asked for it in writing.  He said he couldn't provide it to call this other number.  I told him my attorney said I needed the notice in writing or he needed to quit calling me.  He wouldn't provide it.  number was1.323.331.9189.  This is the 2nd time they called me in the span of 4 months.

Just saw this number come up at work but when I answered it there was nothing.  I copied down the # and am certainly glad I did.  I've warned any of our employees to watch out for this number if they answer and not to give information on any employee they ask about. Thanks!

This is a scam. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me-I applied for Montel Williams endoresed payday advance and they SELL your phone number and ss number to these scam artists who call with threats. They have no power and tell them you have reported them to the FCA and BBB and it is illegal to call you at work.

I have been getting the same calls for the past month. I finally caught onto what this guy was taking about. For one, you don't call someone as a paralegal and tell them that they are going to be arrested over the phone. Secondly, they also have very bad English as a paralegal has a very good education background. I played with the guy ("Kevin") for a little bit and then I told him that I would give him my cc number when he brings the cops to my house. He then started getting really angry and called me all sorts of names that I am not willing to say on this post. I am very angry at the fact that my 2.5 year old son is now saying one of the words he screamed out while I had him on speakerphone. If there is a way to sue the company, I will. I wonder since they are actively using the cash advance name, if we could put that website/company on the hook for this one. I am still trying to find out what we can and can't do on this. I have talked to the MO attorney gen. office and they told me to just tell them that we know it's a SCAM and to never call again. I got another call from them and I told the guy (different name) that and he went off on me as well and I hung up on them.
