Have had this number call numerous times this week...I've already blocked the number on my phone so that when it calls, it rings 1/2 a ring and then they get a message that says we are not answering this number...very cool.  Hopefully RBC is doing something about this if it is calling people on their behalf.  Very annoying.

This number has been calling me several times, and never responds when I try calling the number back. They don't leave a name or voicemail, all I know is that it is an Ontario number.

caled company they do not work for RBC they work for some other comapny they bought list from RBC, call continuosly until someone answered suggetst everyone call and complain to government and bank.  called looking for my daughter(minor) at 11 pm pacific time very suspicious will call rbc monday to file complaint

asked my number be removed from the list and then got another call 1 hour later they reported they never received a call from me this is untrue and i recorded both times will be contacting police because they are not just unprofessional my friend who owns ligitimate market research says they are physically tracking movements of individuals this is why they hang up once phone is answered  even he says it is suspicious for what purpose is unknown but it can't be good

just received a call from this number for the tenth time in two weeks they call asking for me full name when i say speaking they hang up.

just answered the call from this number - a man asked for my daughter and when I indicated that she was not home and could I take a message, he answered " that will not be necessary".  Totally creeped me out - glad to see this is not a one-off.

We got the first call at 845 pm and told them to call back the next evening.  I investigated the number found this posting and decided to have fun.  When they called back for my wife they told her they were calling to do a survey for royal bank.  I told her to ask for a call back number.  The woman on the other end said she didnt know the number.  My wife asked how she could work for a company and not know their phone number?  The woman advised they have 2 numbers so my wife asked for either one.  the woman said she didnt know.  When she asked to speak to her supervisor she was told none were available.  So my wife said dont ever call back.  lets see what happens

Someone called me from this number, my husband answered, asked for me by first name only.  when my husband told him I wasn't home he said ok and hung up.  Very rude and impolite!

This is crazy - I'm getting 3x calls a day - I've not picked up - they are like clockwork with the times they call - once in the day and 2 in the evening!

received calls from 416-233-0047 during the past week. I never picked up and caller leaves no message.

Rec'd call from 416.233.0047 on my CELL PHONE! at 3:55pm EDT.  When I said hello, all I could hear was the sound of someone typing on a key board, then a busy signal.  I guess the hung-up.

Moments before I received a call from a bogus number 1238019.  My guess is both numbers are bogus and used by someone on an IP phone.

Ahh, modern technology.

I received a call from this number today.  A young girl called me by my first name that I never use and no last name.  She said she wanted to do a survey with me about RBC.  I told her no and she just said ok and hung up.  I then called my local branch and told them about the call.  Then I called the company associated with the number, Market Probe Canada Phone: 416-233-1555, and the lady who answered the phone was very nice to talk to.  She said that Market Probe Canada has been hired by RBC and Canadian Tire to make survey calls.  She said that they have a lot of teenagers working for them that are not very professional on the phone.  She apologized to me and said she would remove my number from their system.  She  told me to call Royal Bank 1-800-royal-11 and ask them about Market Probe Canada.  I called the Royal bank 800 number and after a few minutes the guy told me that yes, RBC uses this company for survey information.  I asked him why my number was given out since I am registered to not have calls from RBC.  He said he did not know and that it should not have happened.

I also have recieved 3 calls from this number.  I don,t answer it and don't get any messages.  When I try to call back, no one answers.

I am reffring this number to the police, here in Sherbrooke, Qc.  I will also notify Bell of this phone number.

Got calls twice (or more) from this number 416-233-0047, all in evenings. I didn't answer first time; second time when I answered, no reply on the other side, the line seemed dead. Creep people!

I just got it 5 min ago.I called back..Nobody answered.

I have just received 3 calls from this number in the past 3 hours (Saturday morning)! That's now a total of 7 calls in the past 4 days, usually around 5:30 PM. I have blocked the number, so it no longer rings and bothers us, but it goes straight to voice mail. They have never left a message.
BTW I am an RBC customer. Is this just a coincidence, or did RBC really give out our numbers to an outside agency for surveys? If that's true, what other information is RBC selling to outside agencies?
This makes me mad!

Constant badgering from this number, now I will just hang up, claims to want to talk about investments.

Just called the market probe number, and told them not to call me again and to talk to their operators who hang up with rude comments. 416-233-1555 is their number, call them and annoy them like I did.

im on the do not call list and they are still calling.

Well I did answer the phone, and they did not represent themselves initially, and they should have!  They asked to speak to my husband by his entire full name, which no one uses.  I told them I was his wife and they could speak with me.  The girl refused to give me any information.  I told her there is a very good chance that if this is a company, I have probably put the bill in his name and that I pay it.  She would not represent herself, and therefore I hung up.

Extremely ticked off!
