Same thing here - this number called me around 6pm PT today. Didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a msg either. I don't bank with Scotia and never have in the past...

Called and asked for my husband after saying he was from ScotiaBank.  We don't have an account there, and never have, there isn't even a branch in my area, so I asked what it was regarding and he said "it's a courtesy call".  I told him we don't deal with Scotia Bank and he hung up.

i got a call but missed it; i got a call again today and after reading the above knew they would keep trying until i tell them to get lost

it was scotiabank calling regarding my scene points card for famous players; they wanted to get more info for my preapprove scene visa card; i told them i don't want it; i got a nice person and she didn't push

Just missed the call right now.  I don't answer calls from unknown numbers especially when it's not even a local area code.  I read that it's calls from Scotia bank?  I don't even bank with them!  How the heck did they get my #?

Didn't answer.  However, I am a Scotiabank customer.  It could have been legit.

Annoying, calls all the time and hangs UP! This is NOT Scotiabank! I dont even have an account w/ them so how they could contact me is beyond me! BEWARE!

Called my cell and i tried calling back and got the automated answer saying that scotiabank tried to call me and will call back in the near future. I have nothing to do with scotia, wonder why they would call me for?

I get calls from this # 4-d times a week. I don't have anything with scotia bank. I never pick up. Its annoying.

This phone (416-750-6018) call me and verify the name and company name then she said sorry I dial wrong number in Jan.2010

My mom picked up the phone and asked for me (name correctly). Fortunately, I was sitting right next to my mom and before she handed me the phone to answer the caller, the caller said "It was okay, I do not speak to her" and hung up. Is this a scam call? I don't even bank with Scotiabank!!!

Called and didn't leave message, as usual...

Called me at 7:40 pm.  Told me that I've been approved for a 10,000 credit card!  awesome!  yeah, right.  ok, so I don't even bank with scotia bank, did years ago in college, but not anymore.  And to top it off, they called my cell phone.  an UNLISTED number.  They wanted to ask a few questions to get my information so they could send the card out.  right.  I'm gonna give that info out.  If I have been approved, they should have that damned information.  So when I said no, I got a lovely dial tone in my ear.  It's gotta be a scam.

- Caller identified themselves as being from ScotiaBank
- Cited that their business with me is via my "SCENE" card for the theaters

I'm on the Canadian "No Call" list but, unfortunately, given that they do own the SCENE card, that legally qualifies them as having a business relationship with me.  As there's no real legal recourse in my situation, my only option would just be to threaten a boycott against them with regards to any future business.

...Even then, I doubt my chances of success.

Didn't answer when I saw the #.  Glad I typed this # on the net. Saw all of these comments. I don't even have an account with Scotia. It's great that people take the time to write their comments. Gotta have a PC now a days!! Instant info! It's worth having Caller ID ! :-)

I got two calls back to back from this number today.  I am not sure what it was about because I do not normally answer the telephone unless I know who it is for certain.  A single girl on her own can`t be too careful living in Toronto.  I usually wait for a message and then call them back but this time two calls back to back without a message is kinda strange.

This number calls my cell phone frequently, in spite of the fact that I'm on a "don't call" list. I don't answer.

I received phone calls from 4167506018 almost everyday but no message was left. When I dialled the number, it was said to be Scotia Bank's. When I picked up yesterday, someone answered after a pause. He obviously got my information when I registered for SCENE card.
