Received a call about my Scotia card....Don't have one,hung up on them...blocked this number

Left a mess. about card activation.  I don't have a card from Scotia Bank.

I got called from this number too about 3 weeks ago and promoting something,but i turned them down, and today i got called again and i never pick up the phone cuz i think they just want to make money out of us

Scotia Bank calling, left me a message saying I should remember to activate a new card.

Called me today at 12:57pm, automated voice, knowing my name, telling me to active the Scotia chip card, but I have already closed my account 1 year ago, and canceled me Scotia Visa 1 year ago.

I got a call saying the chip on my card needed to be activated. I don't have an account with Scotia anymore, not since the summer. It was the same female voice form their telebanking, but mighty suspicious...

On  Monday, April 26, 2010, @ 10:38 a.m., my CELL showed a missed call from 416-750-6018.  I checked the # and found this website.  When I called the # using *67 from my HOME PHONE, the announcement said that I had reached Socia Bank which had called me  "...  recently and gotten no answer. We may call you again."  I have no, and have never had dealings with Socia Bank.  Sounds fishy to me!

John, how did you verify the #?  I think you are wrong about its validity.

I got a call from 416-750-6018 today around 5:30 p.m.  A female voice left a message saying if I was (my name, mispronounced) then press 1, but if I was not the person in question, press 2.  I deleted the message without pressing either number because it sounded "fishy".

it was from scotia bank but they hung up.

It was just an automated message for a reminder to activate the new chip debit card,...that was it

`so someone has  gotten my  number  and name. interesting being i dont have a scotia credit card.  
but i did  happen to apply for a company that does surveys .  and have only used this number for  call backs.  wonder if it has something to  with this company.

I got a call from this number @ 11:10am today, August 9, 2010. The guy did not even introduce himself. Said he had a ScotiaBank app for me for a visa and asked me if I still want to go ahead with the application.

I got a call and they left a message to contact scotia bank because they believed my credit information might have been compromised.  I contacted Scotia bank and they verified that it was the real thing.  So I went to my local branch and got a new card.

Just got a call from that same number. I could not answer (fortunately). when I called to see who is calling I got an automated message from Scotia Bank. Seems to be a scam.
Hopefully, they will not call back

It is actually legit, thought it wasn't so I hung up on the lady phoned my bank and  of course there was already a message on my account  that I hung up....lol.

It's legit; my wife said there was a message on the Scotiabank ATM machine saying our card was compromised.
When we got home, this number had called three times but didn't leave a message.
Now our cards are locked... and it's the weekend...crap.

[***]!  I haven't had any ScotiaBank account in the last 15 years and the number 4167506018 called me too!  Silence, of course!

Bull *hit!  I haven't had any ScotiaBank account in the last 15 years and the number 416 750 6018 called me too!  Silence, of course!   Do you people REALLY THINK that ScotiaBank is so stupid that they would call people who don't even have an account with them???  And, on top of that, they would be silent on the other end of the phone???  Nah!

This is a Scotiabank Security number.  I had an issue with my VISA card today and this number was on my home phone when I got home.  Definitely Scotia calling to check before they got me on my cell.
