I have missed two calls from this number. They did not leave a message and I do not have a Scotiabank account. Was anyone able to verify if this is a legit number or a scam?

I get a freaking phone call from these people EVERY day as of Jan 20th!!! They NEVER leave a message and sometimes call once in the morning and once in the evening. Its starting to get REALLY annoying as I dont deal with Scotiabank. An above poster mentioned he got a SCENE card which I have which is the only thing I have signed up for within a year. I dont know who to complain to tho!?

I've missed all of their calls and they don't leave a message.  If it is Scotiabank, I'm not a customer and don't need their calls!

Call scotia bank to remove my number, nothing happen.

You can call at 1-866-580-3625 to make a complaint it's the CRTC complaint number.

I received a call tonight and they said I was approved for a Scotia Visa with a low interest rate. I have a Scotia Scene card which I hardly use. I said I didn't want another card. They said I could phone back if I changed my mind. Is this just a scam? Curious to find out.

We got a call from this number aswell we just opened a scotia account over a month ago. But if it was really that important i dont know why they wouldnt leave a messageé

Daily calls around supper-time from this # and most of the time I don't ans. & no msge. left.  Other times, I pick up the phone and hang up immediately.  Tonight, I ans. and waited until I heard the connection and gave my loudest and shrillest whistle into the receiver!!!  (Got the idea from my bro. who keeps a whistle by the tel. for such purposes!)

ps I have a Scene card but no Scotiabank acct.

Received a call from this number. Didn't pick up but received a voicemail. The voicemail was an automated message from Scotiabank. It was a reminder to validate the new debit card I had received in the mail recently. I did indeed receive a new card and it had not been validated.

received a call from 416-750-6018.  googled the # and seen all the same comments.... I didn't bother to pick it up.

I got a phone call from this number today...I didn't pick up but they did leave a message.  The problem is I've never had any accounts - Visa, chequing, savings, whatever, with Scotiabank so why are they calling me

I got a call today and had a voice mail left. It was Scotiabank and I do have an account with them. They were calling to make sure I active my new chip card they sent me in the mail.

My (unlisted) cell phone has been called 3 times in the last 2 days from this number. I'm not a Scotiabank customer, but I do have a Cineplex 'Scene' card, which has a tied-in Scotiabank Visa card. I'm betting they're trying to sell me on one.

Persistent annoying calls from this number with no one there. Each pm between 6 - 7-30pm BC time, which is 9 to 10:30 Ontario time which is suspicious when all businesses are closed at that time. Just ignore and wished I could block this number.

These people are so annoying, i am a scotiabank client, but i dont have a visa or a scene card, and they call about twice a day everyday, they are very annoying,

I got a call from 416-750-6018 this afternoon,no message was left but I am a scotiabank customer and I frigged up this morning when I called in to activate my new visa.I didn't have the old visa handy and when i went to retrieve it the system timed out and forwarded me to customer service.I did not want to talk with customer service so I hung up and activated online.
I believe this is Scotia Bank verifying my activation today.

Also,I am on the National do not call list and I told my local agent for Scotia Bank to stop all calls from ScotiaBank telemarketing to my house.I have not received a call since.

1st call: said "fraud alert" someone using my Scotia card
2nd call: "activate my Scotia Credit card and chip etc"

I'm not a customer of Scotia never have been.
