416-750-6018

This number keeps calling me. It is an automated recording saying they're calling from Scotiabank and there is suspicious activity on my account. They do have my name and correct title, and ask me to press 1 to confirm. After a few times of hanging up, I pressed 1 today to see what would happen. It then asked me to key in my postal code, at which point I hung up again. I called Scotiabank and the representative said it is not legit, and they would not ask for this information, therefore it's not them calling.  Their Twitter page @ScotiabankHelps says it is their number though, so it's confusing. Extremely sketchy all around.

They called and represented themselves as Scotia bank and requested information about my account.

It was Scotia bank, trying to sell me overdraft protection on my visa card. I simply ignored them and hung up. I went to my branch and they did confirm that it was the Visa division of Scotia bank that has been trying to contact me

I had a call from this number, it was NOT A SCAM. Scotiabank was checking up on suspicious transactions on my VISA card. When they asked for info I was not comfortable giving out to an unverified caller, they told me to just call the 1-800 number on the back of my card. I did that and yes, my card had been compromised. These transactions had not yet shown up on my statement at their website.

I also received an automated call from 416-750-6018 asking me to call 1-800-290-2654 and that it was very important.  I was somewhat suspicious. Just to be sure, in case it was something to do with my credit card, I instead called the number on the back and told them about the call. As it turns out, the 1-800 number *is* a Scotia number.  Because I called them I provided my card number and there were some security messages regarding recent charges, but all was good and the call lasted less than 5 minutes.

This afternoon, I went to a local branch of Scotia bank for a credit card annual fee issue. They said they would look into it and would call me back as soon as the issue was fixed. When I went back home, I got a call from this number. The guy on the phone said he was from Scotia Bank and was calling me for my credit annual fee. He asked some some security questions and I answered. He then said my annual fee has been waived.
After the phone call, I felt suspicious because the guy asked me security questions. I googled this number and came here. The replies on this number made me nervous. After about half hour, I called the number on the credit bill statement: 1-888-267-1609. They said it was OK.

Scotiabank.  They left a message saying to call back.  I verified the number they provided on the Scotiabank site.

I received a call from phone number 1-416-750-6018 at 8:50pm Mar 21, 2019. A woman asked me, are you xxx? I recognized. Then she said I ‘m from Scotiabank, you have CA$150 bill unpaid. We need to verify your account. Please tell me your date of birth first to me. I said, what, $150 unpaid, I didn’t buy anything with $150, why did I need to verify with you? I don’t want to pay. She still said, please tell me your date of birth first. I was so angry. I don’t want to pay. I was yelling to her. Later she said if you don’t want to say right now, you could call Scotiabank back later. I hanged up her call. And gave a call to Scotiabank, and agent said no one gave me call from Scotiabank. Moreover, I found out when I picked up that call from 416-750-6018, my phone screen was shown as calling from Scotiabank; however, when I called back to 416-750-6018, nothing was shown as Scotiabank but only phone number on my phone screen. I called this number 9 times and no one picked up my call, only alert tone said, the number you’re calling now is currently not available, please try your call later. Therefore I could judge this person is fraudulent and she is a liar. Please be aware, if you receive this call from this number, please kindly report to the police officer. Let’s catch this swindler and send her to prison. Thank you very much!

same number called me just now , its name was "julia" , ask me to verify myself first but don't tell for what info. or ask me call the same number back .  It is sacm , be ware !!!

I just received a call from this number.  They left a message and a number to call back.  It was Scotiabank fraud dept.  I do have a claim in with them and they needed to verify.

It's a scam, when I call scotiabank for my account problem. It called right away, be careful

Just got called 3 times in a row within 2 minutes. I have NEVER used Scotiabank. Pretty crazy that they have turned into a scam lol

Also recd a call saying they were following up on a recent call I made to Sandra at Scotia.  I said I have no idea what you are talking about. They tried to get me to verify Information and I said you called me so you must know who I am. When I asked them to verify Info, they said I should call Scotia directly. ?????  I told her to get lost.
