Laval, Quebec, Canada: I got the call from this number "L 1 425 998 1533" and my dad picked up first, he said that "someone from our house called on "425 998 1533" to fix the computer problem". So my dad gave me the phone to me. And his starting explains about the computer error:


Scammer: we are getting some error from your computer
Me: what error?
Scammer: When you buy your computer once you install the Operation system and active your windows license. All the information is sent it to us including your computer ID.
Scammer: Some error which is infected your computer and I need to help you to remove that error. If you please give me the access to your computer so I can remove the virus.
Me: As I have knowledge to computer, I knew it was scam. So I said "No it's OK I don't want to remove the error. I want to keep the virus in my PC"

Scammer: Oh well is not good to keep the virus in your computer
Me: I hang up

This number has called me 4 times today. When i finally picked up in strong accent says thats part of Mircosoft tech dep. Could barely understand what he was saying except he said his name was Daniel fortuntely my phone died. Have not heard anything back yet.

Got two calls. First didn't leave a message, I picked up the second time. Took a while before anyone answered. Got a man with a thick accent I could not understand. Kept asking, "Who is the person who uses the computer in the house?" and the rest of what he said I couldn't understand.
Got the call in Victoria, BC. That guy freaked me out.

I got the same call and it was a thick accent East Indian sounding man saying that my computer was full of viruses and that he could fix it.  I told him my wife had the computer at work and hung up.

a scam it is. we need to stop this scam's. how?

Same as the above.  Male caller with a heavy East Indian Accent.  I've had these calls before and now make a game of it.  I let him tell me all the things that were wrong with my computer and I acted concerned on my end of the phone.  Then I said that it was interesting that he knew what was wrong with my computer and found my phone number.  Then I said that I didn't have a computer (which I do) and he quickly hung up.  Next time maybe I can have them stop by using a very loud blow horn!

They called, same story as evryone else. I told them hold on a minute, then I put the phone on the comp speaker and turned on some old 70s porn. He listened for 15 min, my wife and I almost died laughing. Try and keep them occupied ,at least that way we can slow them down.

same as all the above. Very annoying because we usually received these calls during the night or late evening. Very pissed off about it and I wish they stop calling...

Annoying Indian? woman asking question about my operating system. I couldn't understand what company she was saying she represented. I asked a few questions of my own and then told her I knew it was a scam and hung up.

I never answer any calls I don't know.
And the funny thing is they never leave a message!!  Strange.

Guy with Indian accent said wanted me to log into my computer so he could help me fix some of the problems that were occurring with Windows. I quickly Googled it and lots of scam info came up so I hung up on him. I wish I'd known so I coulda messed with him and run up his phone bill.

"Gee they're now even outsourcing the scam artists!"  --hahahahahahahaha that made my night. This number called me three times in a row.

Been getting these phone calls sometimes 20 times a day for about 2 weeks.  We tried answering but nothing there.  Then someone told my husband they were looking for "Fernandez".  He told them there is no one here by that name and to quit calling.  that was yesterday... Have recieved at least 10 calls so far today.  We will look into blocking.

We keep getting calls from this number about once or twice a day. We live in Nova Scotia Canada. We answered it once - not again! If you do answer by mistake just tell them you use a Mac.

I received a call from this number saying i had virus on the computer, Indian accent, talked fast, ended up wanting a credit card number.. I hang up.

I been getting one those calls from canada  what can i do  to stop it they call me the last three days if they do it again today i reaslly considering calliny my PD  i tired of it

Just got a call from this number at 11:09pm. Indian accent lady .. could barely hear her .. she said something about computers and wanted to talk to the head of the household. I yelled at her saying "Do you realize it is after 11pm"? She says "Yes". Then I proceeded to yell her saying "You don't call after 8pm". She hung up.
