Report a phone call from 44-7024-013797 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- ConcernedWhere is this number from?
- Lynnwhere are they from
- pwas asked to call this number in a email... where is it from?
- KittyWe heard from this number too. What country is it from?
- Paul+44 numbers are from the United Kingdom. The +447... prefix denotes a UK mobile/cell phone... I'm guessing it's a scam as no legit company or business would ask overseas customers to phone a UK 'private' number/
- KittyThe call number is from a person in the UK claiming to be Dr. Mike Bedard. He was answering an ad we had for a rental on Craig's List. He claims he is looking for a home to rent in the US while he studies Pharmacy. He also claims his US company, Honeywel,l will be paying for his accomodation. It smells like a scam; Honeywell is not involved in the pharmaceutical business as far as I know. Comments?
- egils MatissI have been contacted by Dr Mike also. I have listed a apartment for rent and he is interested.
Not sure what to think at this point. Trouble communicating via email. - KimI got an email from an individual by the name of Jackson Willison responding to an ad that I have on Craig's List for a rental house in Boise, Idaho. He claims he is coming to Boise to do pharmacy research and is interested in renting our house. He indicated that his payments would be made through his financier in the United States. He offered to pay two months rent up front to hold the house for his arrival in the United States. He gave this phone number for me to call him. This doesn't sound right.
- jamie schefterSame as above re: first last month for my condo on Craiglist. Dr Tony Cook and his daughter, pharmacist, blah blah blah
- jamie (again)+447024013797
The names/e-mails associated with this, in contacting me, were:
Dr. Frank Lopez (doc.brack@hotmail.com)
Tony Cook (tcook109@gmail.com) - biged143got the same email (no phone contact but +447024013797 was given as a contact number) I know it is a scam now but exactly what is he scamming? We put an apt on hold for 3 weeks waiting for his "financer to supply the funds" If you have been scammed out of something bedsies time answering this bums emails. Please let me know!! biged143@ptd.net
- Caller: none specified just pharmatecual
- krumble@comcast.netI'm reading these messages and can't believe it. We got the same email from a posting on craigslist except now he is using the name Scott Waltman and his daugher is now 18 years old. What in the word could he be scamming.
- BoshebaWe got an email in response to our Craig's list rental ad asking to call +447024013797 although he's claiming to be Morris Timon and is studying pharmacy in Appleton, WI.
What i can't understand is, what is the scam here? I don't see any point to this unless it's just some idiot who's bored and getting jollies off responding to Craig's list rental ads. - James TThe prefi 07024 is not a "normal" mobile number. They may be able to tell you what it is all about. - Kent CThanks for your information. I was just in the process of answering Dr. Brian Lange's (the name I recieved) for our 4 bedroom in Colorado Springs (17 year old daughter). Sad part is that I stayed up late working on the paperwork.
It felt a little weird when I started, but like you, I couldn't figure out the angle.
Oh well. Thanks for the information and saving me the rest of my time.
Cheers
BTW Know any one who wants to rent a 4 bed, 2 bath, in Colorado Springs ;-) - Tom NDr. Wilson Morgan - ha, as if - no children used the number +447024013797
"Thanks for your mail and details on this unit,i am indeed serious about renting this unit and will be willing to offer you 2 months rent plus the security deposit in order to secure this unit prior to our arrival."
Uses the same lingo (english no good) - responded to vacation ad I have on craigslist. Jerk is trolling for account info. - Bearabull| 4 repliesThe scam is they try and get you to take a cashier's check for a lot more than the rental price because the check will be coming from some other person. They then request you send the excess amount back to them by wire. They then have your money and then down the line, the cashier's check ends up being fake and you are out the money you sent them.
Whenever I get suspicious emails, but not quite sure, I tell them to send me their home address and phone number first so that I can do a security check and that I only will accept exact money (except Canada and USA). - TerryI have been contacted by Tony Cook wanting to rent my house while he does work for a pharmacy reseach. He wants me to take pocession of furniture. He said his local financer would be sending the deposit for the house and a check for the furniture. I think this is where the scam comes in. He probable wants money back from the furniture. My son just google his email and all this info came up.
I am reporting this to the police and other agencies. - KyleThanks for all the great tips. Wow! I would have never guess this to be a scam, but it's true. I offered a condo for rent. The scammer at the phone number list above said he and his wife and 10 year old daughter were comming into the area. I did a google search of the number and came up with this site and all kinds of helpful information.
The name the scammer used was Paris Edwards. The email the scammer used was pedwards101@gmail.com
This is what I wrote back to him ....Thanks for getting back to me. I am happy to help you in any way that I can. Of course I will need some information on you. I basically have nothing. Can you please provide your contact information (name, address, phone numbers, etc). Can you please provide the name of your new / USA employer and the office you’ll be working out of and the phone number of the local office? Upon receipt, I’ll forward you additional photo’s of the unit and any other information that you’ll need. Whom may I contact at the local USA office to verify your claim and whom may I contact at you UK office?
Have you been to this area of the US yet? If so, where did you stay? How long did it take you to get to the office from where you stayed? Of course, I’ll need to do a security check, what is your current address and phone number and your place of employment and a phone number there? - Miron WHi. I just received a similar email from Morris Timon, same lingo re: coming to the states with wife and daughter. Wants to sign a 1 year lease. Blah, blah, blah... It's great to be able to network online and flush out these scammers. Be Aware...
