The jerk strikes again.  Thankfully a friend of mine did a google search for code 44 and brought me to this site.  This time he's Dr. Chris Hunt coming with a wife and a 9 yr old daughter...he replied to my ad on craigslist.  What a loser.  Can't anything be done to stop him???

I just got a cashiers check from Tony Cook's financier. They want me to hurry up and cash it and send part of the money to a address in Las Vagas for furniture. I have contacted the police. And I'm going to go to the bank tomorrow and show them the check and see what they want to do about this scam. I'm sure as this one gets stopped a new one will pop up. Keep the info coming. Yhanks to all that email. I'm sure it saved a lot of people a lot of money.

Also got a response to a craigslist ad for an apartmenmt.  He's now calling himself kelvin sean and signs it Dr. Kelvin.  I knew it was a scam on first reading but did this search to confirm.

was contacted via an ad that i have on craigslist for a condo for rent.  Dr Jeffrey Fick says that he wants to rent it for his family, daughter and wife.  says he is coming to states to study pharmacy.  how ironic that it is the same as all other complaints listed here............

This is a Nigerian scam.  They are now also using the name Scott Waltman (swaltman101@hotmail.com).  Dont' waste your time.

I have a financier that is based in the States and he will be handling the rent deposit payment on my behalf, I will instruct him to send you a Certified Check for this as soon as you give me the go ahead to make out payment to you.  

Due to the limited time that we have before our arrival,we are making arrangements with a furniture company to supply the home with furnitures,so we will need you to provide us with the measurements of the living room and bedroom so that we can send it to the furniture company so that they can supply the unit with furniture that will fit in well. Also send me a picture viewing the living room and the bed rooms.

As regards the lease agreement, I want you to send it to me for my review. I will eventually have it filled and signed on my arrival in your place as I am of the opinion that such documents are best filled and signed physically. We can start the lease by 1st of  February and I will be doing a one year lease. You can prepare the lease in my name and my wife's name (Dr. Robert Smith & Mary Smith).

Let me know how to move ahead as I intend to complete this deal before I move in a couple of days. I want all the arrangement to be solidified so I settle in comfortably when I arrive. I will let you know the exact date as soon as I get a booking on a flight to the states.

This scam has reached South Florida. I also placed an ad and I got the same response as the previous posts. In my email his name is Robbinson and his daughter is 16 yrs old.

I hope these scammers are stopped.

My email name was Robert Smith with wife and daughter on an ad off Craigs List for a home we have for rent.  Glad this site was here thanks to everyone.  I felt there was a scam-perhaps trolling for account numbers.

This man is now saying his name is Paris Strong and emailed me off of a craigs list add for a rental of mine and said he and his wife and daughter are coming here to the US to work on pharmacy work for one year and offered to pay 2 months rent up front along with the security deposit.  What cautioned me was the fact he wanted to wire the money to me.  BIG SCAM.  This exact thing happened to my dad but my dad refused to give his bank account number and the people than stopped contacting him. The email he is using is Paris_strong@hotmail.com

THIS IS A SCAM!!!  BEWARE!!!!

Thought all of you would get a kick out of this one.  This guy sent me e-mails for days and finally sent me the cashiers check.  It was drawn from the bank I do business with and they immediatley knew it was fake.  To boot my husband is a police detective and knew some thing was up.  We let the fish take and bait and take the line as far as he could.  Hope they all get caught.
What follows was my final response.

I received your cashiers check and went to my bank to negotiate the check.  Unfortunately, I do banking with SunTrust Bank, this is the bank on which the cashiers check was drawn.  The bank kept the check and initiated an investigation with Federal Reserve and sent out a statewide alert on your scam.  Furthermore, Dr. Nick or is it Dr. Morgan, or Dr. Lange or Dr. Lopez or Dr. Cook or even maybe Scott Waltman, whoever you are you tried this scam one too many times and unbeknown to you tried to scam an organized crimes detective, so the FBI is involved and Craig’s List has been alerted with copies of your fake over the counter cashiers check.    The authorities know of you and your Canadian Scam Ring.  Good Luck!  Remember to look over your shoulder someone just might be on your trial.

I was contacted by him via Craigslist.com for an ad that I had posted to rent my home. He gave me the name of a chairman he was working with, David M. Cote with Woodstock Pharmacy Inc. Said the same thing, he is working with a financier who will be sending me a check and wanted location/measurements to supply furniture for the house. I feel bad for the people who dont take the time or elderly who dont know enought to investigate or follow through with background/credit checks. I hope they stop this guy. I was also contacted by someone else in the UK, a Brenda Paul. If its smells like a duck, quacks like a duck, its most often a duck. In this instance its a quack that needs to be stopped!!!!! Stay clear of anyone from the UK period. DR Chris Hunt, Brenda Paul I hope someone catches up with you & soon!!! words out & we're onto you!!!!

This information is been so helpful, i reveive a responce e-mail from this Scott something he even send this number, and google the number and and i found all this information, he ask for the mesures of all rooms in the house so he can buy the furniture, so i rush home to do it, i just came back from my house because i was at work,
i think somebody shoul do somethig about it

Amazing! Same story here. Add on Craig's List for a house for rent in Bonney Lake, Washington this time. Says the same thing about pharmacy work. Name - Dr. Kelvin Sean , daughter 9 with wife. Willing to pay 2+ months and deposit upfront. Says employer will be paying. I suspect,  you give him your info and.... Bam, bank account wiped clean. WATCH OUT!!!! And yes, phone number is United Kingdom Wireless Number.

Craigs list scammer, send more that the required amount and then try and get you to send balance to a third party, blah, blah.  The joker (loser) even called my home when he received email that I would not be sending any "balance" anywhere.
