Same story here...this was a woman, though, Amandy Smith (email even spelled her name wrong) with a 7 year old daughter.  I thought it was funny cuz the email stated she was going to do a 1 year stint in Pharmacy in the USA and my rental is in Canada...when I googled the telephone number to find out what area of Europe she's from, I got this site and discovered it's just a scam.

The above number is used by scammmers. What will most likely happen is he will want to send you a cheque and the cheque will be for more than what you are asking for. He will then ask you to send the extra money to a friend.

Oh well, I thought his email was fishy so I googled him and found his name on this website. The only thing I can think is he wants us landlords to hold the house/apartment for him to waste our money and to frusterate us.
I do not plan on holding my house for anyone...unless it is for good reason and I know them very well.

I have been receiving mails from a person named Hazel Wood. He has been proposing me business. I am sure is a scam. He has asked me to call him to the telephone number 44-7024024743.

I received an email from Mike Bedard as well, wanting to lease our home for one year, sight unseen. I called my attorney and he instantly said it sounded like a scam so I goggled this person, and found this website. He did use a different phone number though. It is 447024048350.
I am so glad I checked hime out.

Have not go tthe call yet but got the number sent from Dr. Mike Bedard...the [***]!!!  He is still at it.  He has one child and a wife Susan.  Claims to work for Honeywell INC.  WEll today i actually spoke with him via email then felt a little weird so I googled scams and here we are.  I have not got the checks but he did have me hold a unit for a 4 bedroom 1 week and missed out on other tenents willing to rent.  I filed on line to fbi to report him and sent him a very nice Thank you/ F you email.  Sorry I am angry but people BEWARE!!!!

That S.O.B. Dr. Mike Bedard.  I was so stoked to rent out my home to a nice lil family for a year.  What a piece of crap.  I thought it was kinda too good to be true.  Now I have avoided all the legit people and am probably too late.  Thank you all for the good intel.  What a joke.  Keep on crackin the scams!!!!

Mike Bedard, Terry James, Henry Moore... they're all the same.  I've had my condo on Craig's List for a week and have gotten 3 different names all with the same or similar M.O.  I'm tempted to just go with it to mess with the guy now because it's really ridiculous.  I'm just glad I found this site before Dr. Mike took me for a ride.

My cousin is looking for a renter and has received these same e-mails from the same # however the name was different.  Alfred Powell.  You can also check for these names on Fraudwatchers.org....
