- JThis is a legit number. They are a company that tries to get you on the right track with your student loans. I was very lerie when they called after seeing this site, and i wouldn't tell him anything until he could give me information. He told me the last time I paid and how much, which no one else could know. He was very nice and understood that I had to protect myself as well. He helped me get a forebearance.

- B & EMy fiance just got called by this number; he didn't answer. They IMMEDIATELY called me and I also didn't answer. They didnt leave a message either time. How they got my number I have no idea. He doesn't have my number listed on anything. It's so bizarre! The DCS makes sense though. I'm pretty sure he's gotten mail from them before. They're very sleuthy to find my number, that's for sure. Our numbers have different area codes!

- BS YargI think they call it BCS
It's either Barclays Bank, which I applied for a CC for a Priceline discount or
BCS the collections company, which I found on the web.
Either way it's annoying, whether they are selling something or look for the last owner of my cell phone.- Caller: BCS

- Mya| 1 replyThis is a student loan collection agency. I know someone who works there and they call those that have affiliation with contacts that owe money for schooling. If you are listed as a reference, they will call you and you have to realize that they are just doing there job! Don't borrow money from school that you refuse to pay back or you will have these problems.

- JenThey call everyday. Never leave a message. And as I read here, DCS is a collections on my defaulted Student Loans. Okay, Soap Box time: This lady, Katrina Campbell calls weekly at my job. Then asks a bunch of nosey questions. She wants to keep me on the phone. I told her, I would pay her at the end of this month. They called again, at work, asking me for all this info. I refused to give it to her. She never leaves a message. And she said every time she calls at home, no one answers. Duh, I wonder why?

- sugarbearI get calls from this company regularly. I never answer the call and they never leave any messages. I only recognize the name from a piece of mail sent to my son about his outstanding student loan. I'm assuming that they got my number when my son was in Afghanistan and he made me his P.O.A. I don't recall personally talking to these people but I think my mother did. My son said that he's made arrangements with the lending company that gave him the student loan in the first place so I don't understand why they keep calling me.

- JayThis number has shown up on my cell phone every single day for a week. When I called the number back, it sent me to a mailbox number (no name) and gave me office hours of 9am-6pm Pacific time. I googled the company name DCS, which says it's a collection company. I don't have any bills in debt or collections. Beware, I think it's a scammer.

- TDTMDIt's not a scam. How many times in life do the chance for a do over? You don't pay your car? They repossess it. You don't pay on your house? The bank puts your house in foreclosure. DCS, Inc. is a legitimate government subcontractor that has been around for decades. True, there are some rude people there, but you can go to your local grocery store and be treated rudely. Some people just seem to feel the need to be rude when they communicate because in their mind, they're being more effective which is probably just the opposite. Personally, I shut down when people talk down on me. I don't need their crap any more than they need mine. But seriously, this is a case where people get the chance to reverse damage that may have already been done. Google student loan rehabilitation and find out some of the benefits. Go straight to the source and see for yourself. http://www2.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/DCS/rehabilitation.html Even if your loan is not directly through the US Dept. of Education, the benefits are basically the same across the board.
Lastly, if they're calling you and they have the wrong number, it's easy, tell them you have the wrong number stop calling me, and they will. But if it's legitimately your debt, think twice before you run.- Caller: DCS Inc
- Jay replies to gigiI have been called repeatedly by this number and it turns out that my roommate made me a contact with this company as a person who could relay him a detailed message. I'm glad I called them back for the sake of my roommate.
