I have just gotten my first call from them today. Hope I never get another. Mine said "all of our associates are busy now, please hold for a very important call" or words to that effect.  Of course I disconnected, thinking it was a telemarketer. So I came here to check on the USCB Corp on the caller ID. I have no debts that are past due, have not attended college since graduation 30 years ago, have never even sent off for an info packet for Stratford or any other college/correspondence school. My last child to graduate from college did so a decade or so ago. They have no college loans (I can vouch $$ for that - ouch!), I took out no loans to pay for their college. I am hoping, as a result, that this is merely a wrong number, but apparently they won't believe me if I tell them. Oh well, if they keep it up I'll report them as I am on the do-not-call list.

It's USCB Corp, which is a collection agency.  If someone owes money, they'll call that person as well as any references put down on the original "loan" or "payment plan".  I know because I fell behind on a payment plan after I lost my job, and they called my folks and me and everyone they could until I paid them off.

Yeah Penn Foster is a nasty college. I had called them to get some information and they ensured this and then asked if they could send me an enrollment form. About a week later I received this enrollment form to fill out and read it over, filled it out and sent it back. Once they  received  this I was able to log onto my account, this is where I could look through my laws and codes and so-forth. I decided 3 days later that I wanted to opt out of this course,I read that I had seven days from my enrollment date to opt out with no fees and a refund of my money. When I did this they told me that enrollment date was the day i talked to them over the phone!....i believe that my enrollment date is the day I date that ENROLLMENT FORM and send it back to you! so not only do I not get my refund but I also have to pay them $450.00! I thought about sending it to the BBB Better Buisness Beuro. and maybe starting a petition to find out how many other people this has happened to so we might be able to bring em down so they will stop these shenanigans.

Hey, I would not recomend going through Penn Foster anyway. They are a scam. They are not even accredited. That is why they can not get you Finantial Aid, because they have no Federal code. It is a huge waste of money if you actually want to get a degree.

First all the swearing just makes you look very unprofessional.  Second, fine call these people if they have an outstanding debt.  BUT in  my case you are calling my HOME about a debt my daughter or son -n- law may have.  I told the person on the phone today that this is not a phone my daughter uses and that I  want them to stop calling me.  The young lady asked if I knew  a number  where she could be reached.  I told  her I do not have my daughter's permission to  give that number out.  She then told me  that until they find a number to reach her they would continue to call my number.  Well, I've  been around this track before.  
So my CEASE  and DESIST letter is on it's way to your company.  You have NO  RIGHT  OR  REASON to call me.  I have no debt with you.  And if I  get one more call after this letter is mailed, I  WILL consult my lawyer as to what  grounds I have for further legal action against you.  You might want to tell your employer that.

i hope you take this serious cause i or anyone else will only say this once ,the way you just talked here on this web page representing your agency just broke a law,you can not legaly use slander against people to get a word across and for tracking anyones ip address yours might be tapped,see you in court SOON.have a great day.yours truely

take it to the BBB and take up a petition get as many people as you can to sign it its time to show these unforgetable companys who they are messing with .as stated we the people and we the people make the world go around we have the powerful thing there is and thats rights so get everyone involved that you can and use these rights FIGHT BACK WE CAN WIN .........

These USCB people have called several times a day under several different numbers for months. I don't owe ANYONE any money. I just don't answer. They get paid if you pick up the phone whether you talk to them or not......So don't encourage them! No answer= no money=no job=no calls.

Get this number on Caller ID.  Seems to be Zombie Debt Collecting.

We aquired our current phone number a year and a half ago and have gotten calls from this number daily ever since. The Brittish computer voice says she has an important call for Charles Martin, but we have never heard of this person and just want our phone to stop ringing. We don't owe anyone a dime, have never been delinquent on any loan, and don't deserve to be harassed like this. The call gives two options: Press 1 if you are Charles Martin, and Press 2 if you are not. When I press 2 it just says to tell Charles Martin to call this number. Aaauuugggghhhh. How do I make this stop!!!  I don't want to press 1 and have them think they are on the right track. Any ideas???

They're a scam and Manta.com estimates their annual revenue to be between $2.5 to $5 million!

Amen to people like you who take responsibility for their actions. I for on that applaud you for that. A lot of people fail to realize that they did create the debt and didn't take the time to read the contract. A lot of the complaints on this board seem legit, and there are some very rude collectors out there. I personally owe over 50k in debt, and I'm a debt collector. I treat everyone I speak to on the phone with nothing but respect until given reason not to. I will help you with payments, provide proof of debt (This takes a while because we need to get the original information from the client, and they don't send the accounts to us with the contracts. If you have a dispute, I will  tell you how to handle it. Please understand that the nasty, rude, arrogant collectors ruin the business for people like me. If you have any problems with a debt collector, hang up and call back until you get another collector that is willing to help you. Also, please remember that we deal with a lot of nasty people on the phone on a daily basis, so it may not be you we are trying to be rude to, we take our frustration out on people who do not deserve it at times. I know I will probably get a lot of nasty calls for this, but I am willing to assist anyone on this forum with their problems, regardless of what the situation I will do my best to help you. Ask for ext 136, Jason Gordon. Please do not call to harass me, I am here to help, even if it is with a dispute. Thank you all for allowing me to put my input in, and I am sorry on behalf of all the nasty collectors that may make you feel as if they are treating the debt as if you owe them personally. They call from caller id: U*S*C*B Corp saying its from penn foster online schools; which is a big scam i found out the hard way!! they are not a creditdated school so won't help going there due to knowone will hire you, w/out a creditadated school or expereince.  I told them i wasn't going to pay them nothing, since i lost my job unemployed for at least over a year and got scammed by thier recrutier by them telling me it was a legit school.

Well just so you know there mister man, when you do a reverse phone number look up on MSN it lists all the information about YOUR BOSS!! So it is already public information!! So it looks like you are the idiot by not checking things out first before opening your mouth about prosecution.  Also learn to use spell check!! The word "Which" was spelled wrong in your number one reply.

First of all if your do work for this company (USCB) they should FIRED YOU, I read your letter and your language needs to be CORRECTED do you really think all that name calling was professional, also it sound like you need help being a COLLECTOR, just reading your letter seem like you need some help with customer service, I know being a Collector is a hard job, I've been there and I've never seen or wrote a letter like this or responded to a Customer letter in such a Rude matter, YOU got to remember you are making your USCB look BAD... with the bad language and the the name calling, YOU really need to check yourself and have respect for your COMPANY and for those that you are trying to collect the money from. YOU REALLY need to read your letter again and give it to your Boss for a review.... because it's sound like you have or are threading this person, Just because your a collector doesn't mean you have the right to BE SO RUDE. You might want to read the FDCPA GUILEDLINES AGAIN... Let me correct you on the hours of calling YOU CANNOT (1) call before 8am or after 9pm  (2) call repeatedly or continuously is harassment ETC ETC...  i don't want to go any further because your letter speaks for it's self. We really need less collectors like you and MORE collectors that are willing to work with you and not against you.
