Been getting a few of these phishy-seeming calls per day for the past week at my office from callers with thick Southern accents acting like they are calling from Bank of America, regarding a Bank of America account. My coworkers and I keep asking them to take us off of their list, but the callers refuse & keep phishing around for info.

I saw their internal "Do Not Call" # posted here and just added our numbers to it. Hopefully it works because if it doesn't, I'm notifying the authorities regarding this company's refusal to remove numbers from their list and also their possible phishing.

If you do not wish to be called by us, we can easily remove you from our list (permanently).  Just tell the interviewer you wish to be placed on the Do Not Call list.  Or, you can call 1-800-864-8601 and leave your number with the system to be removed.

Have ya ever wondered why they came up with the Do Not Call List ?  could it be they are selling your number to the telemarketers ? Cause it sure dosen't stop them from calling.

I got a call from them...they called my cell phone and then literally as soon as my cell phone stopped ringing, they called my direct line at work!!!!  I answered it and they said "I must have the wrong #" and then hung up!!  Are you kidding me??  Supposedly if you call (800) 864-8601, that is the number to add you to their do not call list.  I did that as well as registered both numbers on the donotcall.gov website!

Do not call registry does not apply to research. People don't always get tehir messages from the internet, you might want to try and call them and ask nicely to be removed.

The do not call registry does not appply to everyone in the world.  I know for sure that it does not apply to market research companies.

Someone keeps calling from this number and not leaving a voice mail message.

hear back from them. That suits me if it works.

Train your people to leave a message.

I have been getting a call daily from 5714311960 and they do not leave a message. They call all hours of the day and night.
I have an unlisted number. I am sick of these calls.
Isn't there someone out there to help us stop them from calling.
Next step I guess is to get rid of my phone.

You spoke of being polite....Maybe The caller could be polite enough to leave a message when wishing to survey other polite people.

The company may be calling to do a survey on something you purchased, complained about, or a website you visited.  All of which you gave your telephone number to.  You can answer non-personal questions.  In my case it was a survey about a website for my auto insurance company.  It's a secure site that I visited to review my policies.  They gave my telephone number to the research firm.  Just remember, DO NOT give personal or financial information.  Or just tell them you are not interested and to please delete your telephone number.

For those that want a voice message.  I use a cell phone.  I DO NOT want a voice message.  It COSTS me money!  I believe the company is being polite by not leaving a voice message.  Sometime it pays to be polite by answering the calls and requesting to be put on there "do not call" list

Call came from Arlington County Virginia to Kansas at 17:40 hours CDT on 4-27-11. And another call at 1959 hours, same date.Caller ID said Maritz Research. I assume this is marketing outfit based in St. Louis, Mo. At any rate ...... blocked call, Good Bye.

Received a call from 571-431-1960 at 11pm last night (4/27/11).  The call woke my young daughter.  We do not know anybody at this number and do not want any further calls from them.

It's just a survey company.  They asked me questions about a recent experience with Bank of America.

get calls frequently even though I a am on do not cal;l list- any action for this?

It takes a period of time to kick in and should be done every few months.
