When I asked for a copy of a driver's licence and passport, I got:

I advertised a ute $18 500 on the local gumtree site (Wagga NSW), within 2 hours had a SMS from Janet Maxwell showing interest in car ( not UTE) but was this our best price? Would like me to email ;   jasonmaxwell@gmail.com.
I replied this morning and said this was the price but I was also advertising the ute elsewhere.

we tried to sell a car to Jason Maxwell.he started with Darwin then went to a transport company in china with a western money trasfer I figured it out befor going any further I think this is a triad multi country syndicate?

Same phone nos slightly different message different names same message!!! Both from gumtree and bike sales !!!!!  What a jerk!!!

Janet maxwell... Unfortunately it took me a great deal of correspondence before I caught on... But not before I gave away any money! Exactly the same emails from gumtree. Ended up them telling me they'd report me to authorities!

And look out for the paypal emails that could almost pass as real to some people and cause concern but are completely fake. Forward all contact to spoof@paypal.com

My reply; Hi there you can make payment to your courier driver and will take the rest from there, I like to see a face and know who and how I'm dealing with on the sale of my car, you don't need to justify to me on you whereabouts.

Had this enquiry come through this morning, he was responding for an ad I posted yesterday on Gumtree for a sale of a car. He said his name was Steve and could I send more images of the inside of the vehicle, he was working in New Zealand and blah blah blah, send through the details by criket4ever@gmail.com Why do they bother??!!!!

Yeah, got a text from this number, in reply to a gumtree add, searched for the number and email: timvid68@gmail.com

Can't believe this scammer is using the same phone number for so long. Just goes to show that the police can't do much about his style of scam/crime, still, I'll report the details to various sites and agencies in the hope that they catch this dickphead one day and remove his ability to procreate, if you catch my drift.

I just got the same message about my van but lucky I didn't fall for it so not happy why do people think they have the right to try and take things that don't belong to them.
