I actually called this number first and spoke to a girl...someone had called and left a message on my cell phone called Shana.  I'm not even sure how they got my number, but they asked me if I was in Ohio and was able to get my name (and I didn't even call from my cell phone number).  That is very scary!  They wanted me and my fiancee to go to some houseware show this weekend at a hotel and do a survey on their products...and we would get a free gift like a two night stay in a hotel and $1000 grocery coupons...sounds suspicious and a waste of my time.  I could tell the girl was reading everything off...not even professionally done.  It was only after I made the phone call that I decided to look on this site.  What a scam!!

I received a phone call on my cell from an unknown number (the caller ID said it was in New York) so I let it go to voicemail.  I just replayed the message this morning, which said, "Hi, Kim.  This is Sue from 21st Century _________ Brides (I couldn't make out the 3rd word).  I am calling in regards to a bridal package and trip you were selected for through a national bridal drawing.  I have the gifts on hold but can only hold them for a limited time, so when you get this message you can call me back at (631) 271-2025, extension 7767.  Again, congratulations, Kim."

In the message, I could hear a lot of other voices in the background as if she was in a call center.  It made me very suspicious because how many winners could the company afford to give out "prizes" to?  I was almost tempted to call just to see what this was about but decided to Google the number first and I'm so glad I did!

Thanks to everyone who posted their experiences here, too.  21st Century and the so-called prizes they are offering may be legit, but #1, I'm not going to waste my time trying to find out, and #2, I'd rather be safe than sorry.  I'm certainly not taking the risk because in my opinion, this has SCAM written all over it!

I got a voicemail today fromn "Arlene" from 21st century "RP" brides saying I won a trip.  They defintely had to have gotten my number from David's Bridal because I put down a date of March 25 because I had bought a gown for that day last month.  I guess when they sign you up for briday stuff, your number gets passed out.  ANNOYING! Tell them you didn't sign up for anything and hang up!

I received the same call form two different women. I have an appointment apr 4th 2009 at 3pm and one apr4th 630pm. All I can say is "it doesn't hurt to try". AsI noticed many of you ladies are extremely negative. You are so blinded by negativity, you can't notice with God has placed a blessing right in front of you. Open you eyes ladies!!!

    Almost Fell for it
I gotten a call from a girl named Michelle, and she told me that I "won" something and got pick out of the 5% who register to this bridal website thing.
So I talk to her and she told me that I won 3 things.
    1. 2days 3 nights to vacation as a honeymoon gift (Florida, Palm Springs, Las Vegas etc.)
    2. $ 1000 Grocery Voucher to any stores that accept Vouchers
    3. Something... I totally forgot
So when I told her that I was not engaged and I was already married she said ohh ok. that's fine you will still received this gifts if I just go to this convention that they are having in Burbank at the RAMADA INN and just fill out this questionaire/survey on the products that I like and did not like.
So I checked rip-off report and here they are.
I called back and wanted to speak to the same girl that i was dealing with and I was told that she has already left for the day after I gave her my name.
So I told my husband to call the same number and he was put on hold for the longest time, I told my husband to give a fake name by the way they were putting him on hold, I had a feeling they were going crazy trying to look for the fake names we gave them, after that he was told that the Gifts are for people that are engaged and not married yet.!!!
So You guys better watch out! If you are engaged and just starting a new life with your partner be careful.
By the way when they leave you a message and leave you and extension they don't even know who's in that extention.
    PLEASE, PLEASE be careful.

I just got a call about 10 minutes ago from Lakena on my work phone and she left me an msg stating that I just won a prize and I need to call this number etc. I am at work so I said to myself "self I did not sign up for any contest", but after reading the blog I see where someone got a call after shopping at David’s Bridal. I have purchased my bridal party attire from there but still…. So I had a co-worker listen to the msg and she advised me to Google the number, all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!  The number has been deleted and blocked yes blocked from my phone, I am also an Attorney, and you would think that who ever left me the msg would have paid little more attention to my phone greeting.

I received the call on my cell today.  I would really like to know how they got my phone number.  The only place that I could think of is David Bridal.  I hope they are not selling our information.  Think about it how many of you purchased a dress from David Bridal?  (Just my thought)

    not getting scammed
i also got the call from 631-470-7339 and a fast talking joanna who literally in the 25 second message didn't even pause to take a breath she was talking so fast said i won a "bridal package and trip" and to call back immediately because they were only in town tomorrow, so "hurry up!"

i couldn't understand the name of the company. it sounded like "award center of teen brides" after listening to it about 6 times, but that doesn't make sense as a company name, so i looked up the number.

i was to call her back at 631-271-2025 x2517 to claim my prize.

now see, while i have a boyfriend of 5.5 yrs, we are not engaged (sadly) and i only attended the expo for 2 reasons. 1)to network (meet caterers and event planners, as i am a cater waiter and i also do event babysitting and also freelance help with event planning work) and 2)guilty pleasure, it was free so why not? some ugly dresses in the runway show, i certainly wasn't impressed and wouldn't buy them.

so i entered my name in a couple of drawings for mundane things (like pots and pans), but not for any trips or free wedding services like flowers or catering or photos (since i wouldn't need any of those things; when we do get married, it will be on the east coast, not on the west coast).

so i don't have a need for these services anyway. but as soon as i heard the message, i knew they were up to no good. and found pages like this!

i did think the LA bridal Expo (which is seems several others went to) was also a waste of time. though the company that had free cake tastings and the hotel with the free cake tasting were VERY good indeed!

    Don't Fall for It!
Thank you! I received a voicemail from Sue a few days ago.  I couldn't even understand where she was calling from and when I listened a second time I finally made it out and looked it up and found all these posts.  Apparently, I won a free trip and other prizes and to call back asap to claim as they were being held for a limited time.  I knew it was a scam and told my fiance about the call and he said ignore it and don't answer your phone if you don't recognize the number.  Not sure how this company got my number and all I could thin of is filling out a form a David's Bridal and probably gave my info to third parties and that's the only place where my name was given. I didn't even purchase anything at David's Bridal but simply try on a few dresses.  Warning to all brides out there, don't fall for this scam!

Hi, I got a call from an Ashley from this number. She said my fiance and I won a bridal package. I called them back and they put me on hold for like 20 minutes so I just hung up. I googled the number and I found information saying it was a scam. I believe it. I live in Ohio and my fiance and I never give out our information and when the number came up from New York. I thought it was a little funny because we have never been to New York in our lives or knew no one anyone from New York.

I received these calls as well and thought it sounded pretty shady but the presentation was only 10 minutes from my job so I decided to see what it was about. Unfortuntately I had not read this post. I attempted to 'enter' the presentation room and a company rep would not even let me in the door. Apparently I NEEDED to bring my fiancee and they could NOT let me in w/o him. Even though on the phone call it did not mention this and I 'had no obligation to buy anything.' Obvioulsy I was annoyed since I had driven here but this marketing ploy is not something I don't need to waste my time with. They actually had the audacity to tell me the only exceptions they made were for miliary enlisted personnel and that my fiancee and I could schedule another appointment. After being treated so rudely by their rep after I attempted to attend their marketing presentation--can you imagine???

I got a call from a woman named Leslie that said that my fiance and I had won a trip and free gifts from a drawning that we automatically were entered into from either attending a bridal expo, subscribing to bridal publications, or by signing up at any one of the bridal websites. She said that she was part of a national company that gave away prizes in a random drawing. Then she asked me if I was anywhere near the Birch Run, MI area. I live in the UP of Michigan so I am about 3.5 hrs away. When I told her that, she quickly decided that it was too far for me to drive and withdrew the offer of the free trip and gifts.

I can't say for sure that this was a scam, considering that I did not go all the way down to Birch Run to get the so called "gifts." But my advice to you guys is to definitely check it out. It couldn't hurt anything to at least call back and ask, right?
