I got a call from these people today. It was a 631-470-2886. I spoke with a girl named Jillian. She had said the same thing as everyone else has said.. FREE trip.. $1000 grocery card. I thought it was a scam from the beginning of the call, but decided to write down all the info. I then, googled their name, and found this, among many other BAD things about these people.
She had gave me a number to call them back at.. 631-271-2025. & her ext was 6242. I then called them back, and they just kept putting me on hold & acted like they were so lost about the whole thing & they couldn't remove my name from their list.
    Whatever.
If they really weren't a scam, they would of been more professional & wouldn't act so dumb about the whole thing.
This is a scam whether you want to believe it or not!
My fiance & I will NOT be attending this, or be apart of their scam!!!

    they almost got me
I am so glad that I listened to my instincts. They've been blasting my phone wiht msgs. and so I finally decided to call back. I got the same lecture about the 3 gifts. vacation, coupon gift card and something else. I consistently asked this lady, is this a scam, she said ooh no, you can look up the site for the coupons if you want (She mentioned nothing about them having a website, which I found fishy). And here I am an hour before I go, I said let me double check. Thank you guys for the heads up. This is a shame and a disgrace to any bridal company with such big names and clients to act in such manner by selling individuals infos. SKUNKS I tell you.

Got a call from them too after attending a bridal expo in Chicago.  I'm glad I looked up the number first!  I never win anything and I was very skeptical!  My caller was someone named Shana and the number she gave me was 631-271-2025 but the number they called me from was 631-470-3626.  Thanks for all the heads up!!

I have received NUMEROUS calls like this in the past 4 months since I registered at David's Bridal for my wedding gown. I called back the first time because I guess I'm naive, and listened to "Cassandra" for about 45 minutes (again, I guess I'm too kind, too.)Only she said her company was "Sheffield Brides." I look up that name and there's no such thing! It's the same thing as when they send you a trip voucher for a 2 night 3 day cruise, but first all they want you to do is sit in on their Time Share Info Meeting. No thanks. I wont be getting married until NEXT sept (2010) so I might give David's Bridal a call and ask them to remove me. How RIDICULOUS.

Yea, I figured it was a scam since I never applied for any free trip. I got a call from someone named Taylor today. I got it at work so I couldn't answer it and they left a voice mail message saying I won some trip from something that sounded like Chef World Bride. (Not 21st Century like a lot of people have said). Reverse phone look up says this place is in Huntington, New York.

I got the call from the 470-7338 but Angie left the 271 number extension 7974.  I never called back.  She told me my fiance and I were selected for a bridal package and trip.  Sounded fishy and I could hear other people in the background as well.  Looked up the 470 number and it said the company was 21st Century Concepts...??  She never said the name of the company, just that it was a national drawing.  I don't feel comfortable going to a hotel to meet people from a company that has different names and numbers.

I haven't attended an expo and only went into David's Bridal once just to try on dresses but had to fill that sheet out.  Not sure I will be going there for my dress now.

Man oh man.  What a scam.  But what really gets me mad is that now they've got their employees searching out these sites specifically and leaving positive comments, like "Try it out" and "Relax ladies".  Here's the deal:

    - This is legally not a scam, but it's a ripoff nonetheless.

    - This isn't even a "contest" like they say. (Outright lie, minus 200 credibility points) Anyone can visit their webpage and visit a link that literally says "congratulations, you've won!" and give you the same bs details they give you on the phone.  Some contest.

    - There are HUNDREDS of complaints and wary consumers, so why wouldn't this put up a red flag to anyone?  If you're not sure, DONT go.  Why waste your time with such an unprofessional business?  Is a free trip (read: free hotel-fare) really worth it?

    - As I said before, they have friends or employees leave comments her and other places like 800 notes and various wedding forums.  You can tell because they contradict themselves and none of the descriptions of the prizes are detailed or consistant.  Take "Anais"'s post from page 1 (or 2, maybe) She clearly says it is indeed a sales show but then at the closing line she states "i hope next time a young lady calls you from this companie you have a little respect cause there NOT TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  What?  So they don't try to sell you anything? Huh?  And what's this crap about respect?  Why don't you respect ME and not call at 9pm at night while my daughter's trying to sleep??  And yes, it's just as easy for their employees or friends to find these places as it is for you, so why WOULDN'T they try and pull you in further?

    - As I mention above, the hotel-fare is actually free.  HOWEVER when they say you are not "obligated to purchase anything" they mean the pots.  You still have to pay air-fare, a 50 dollar (sometimes more depending on the sales-person) deposit, taxes, food expenses, "peak-seson" fees, and on and on.  So no it's not a free vacation, and once again, anyone who's (actually) gone would know that.

    - And lastly, if you're going to try to sell this product by hooking people with free vacation offers, at least make sure the product is of good quality! There are lots of reports of the pots having shoddy workmanship and generally being low quality (Source: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/royal_prestige.html)  So I ask you:  If the proucts you actually have to PAY for stink, what's that tell you about the gifts you get for FREE?

Sorry that was so long, just thought it was time all the facts were laid out once and for all.  Even just for the lack of professionalism, don't go.  And what is this, the sixties?  "Chill out ladies" More like "Yeah, stop trying to think for yourself and be concerned about where your personal time and money is going!"

I was super excited and then google this so called comapany and saw a lot of negitive reviews. I would only have to drive 30 mins to this seminar on pots and pans??? but I have a new born and I do not have time to sit in on an hour presentation at 8:30 pm. yeah right. This is why i have trust issues, Lol. You just cannot trust any1...they will rip you off in a heart beat. Thanks to Joanna at 631-271-2025 ext 3660 for making me believe that I actually won something. Oh, and when you call they never know the person that called you initially. Full of crap. Good luck to all :-)
