I got the same call and Davids Bridal is the only place that has my number. RUDE!

I blocked my number and called the number back, and I got an automated recording saying that I entered an invalid code/number. Fortunately I then googled the number and came across this! Thank goodness I didn't get through. Yeah I never signed up for any bridal expo, never went to an expo, and have no idea how they got my information. This definitely sounds like a scam so PLEASE BEWARE!!!!

I, too, got the same call saying I had won a bridal package - I never went to a bridal expo.  It is a total scam - don't respond.

I received a voicemail from Joanna saying she was from <mumble, mumble> and I had entered a drawing at the York Bridal Expo. She was calling to tell me my fiance and I won a bridal package and trip. They were keeping my prize for a little while, but to call immediately for they would be in the area for a short time. Call her back at 631-271-2025 ext 5593 and ask for Joanna. I had to listen to the message several times to get the phone number. I'm so glad I looked it up and didn't waste my time calling back.

Everyone keeps saying 21st Century but Maddy called me and said she was from Chef something or other....Like everyone else the message was to mumbled to understand anything but "you won" and "congragulations". When I called back she had my wedding date and and I thought maybe it could be real....but then she said she had to have both of myself and my finance there. When I told her we wouldn't be able to ,make the time because my fiance has an important work meeting an hour later she became pushy. Like when will you know if he can make it, can you call him now. That's when I knew and called my Aunt. Good thing I looked here! It's amazing what happens when you google/yahoo search a phone number! I didn't even know you could do that soooo glad I went with my 1st instinct!

I also received a mumbled voice mail message at 7:21 pm. When I called back, I was put on hold for 4 minutes. I hung up and checked Google.

The message (which had a lot a talking in the background) :
"My name is Karry calling from the Award Center of Chef World. The reason I am calling is because you and your finance were selected for a bridal package and a trip on behalf of your engagement.
However I can only call these gifts for a limited time so it is very urgent that you call back as soon as possible.
My number is 631-271-2025, extension 5493.
Once again I can only hold these gifts for a limited time..."

Hey everyone! I also received a call tonight about winning prizes. I just recently "won" prizes from another expo and actually went to the hotel to listen to the presentation. It was a waste of time. Yes you got a couple of free gifts, but frankly I'm afraid to use them. It is just on computer paper and really easy to copy.
Everyone is saying their caller was from a different company from the same number. Obviously that tells you that this is not a real company. I could not even understand the company name my lady said. I am definitely not calling them back. Please be advised to be careful with these things. I also received many free vouchers for cruises in the mail that I just threw away, so much stuff is scams now it is hard to trust what is actually real.

i was looking in the local penny saver for an additional job and i saw the add that they were hiring for appointment setters. i wanted to see where the location was so i googled the phone number.  sure glad i did-who the heck wants to work for them NOW??

I received a call  from a woman claiming that there was a bridal package and trip that I was selected for from their national bridal drawing.  She claimed to have my gift on hold but that she could only hold it for a limited time and she needed to hear from me as soon as I got the message.  She said to call her back at 631-271-2025 ext. 533 and then said, "Okay, and umm...thanks again. congratulations.  just ask for Colleen."

I called the number that after checking it out online and the lady that answered the phone transferred me to Colleen after asking my name and where I was located.  

I did not give my last name, but asked for Colleen and requested that my number be removed from their list.  She acted like it happens a million times a day so it confirmed it...SCAM!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that it was Chef World Bridal.  I called back to ask that my number be removed from the list and insisted that she spell the name of the company because I couldn't understand it on my message.  She said it's like a chef..cooking because I wasn't getting what she was saying.  Who really would have a place called Chef World Bridal?  You didn't miss anything.

I received this call today (Monday, March 1) after attending the Bridalrama show in Cincinnati last weekend. I got a call from Donna/Dawn from Chef World saying that I had won something in their drawing, but that they were only going to be in town for a few days, so I had to call ASAP. I called and, after they asked for the extension and the state I lived in, they put me on hold for like five minutes and then cut me off. I called again, same response. So then I Googled the name, found this blog and then promptly called back and asked to be removed from the list. The lady said, "no problem" and then put me on hold. I called back AGAIN and they finally confirmed that my name was removed from the list. I'm not sure if this is a scam or just a sales pitch, but I'm not going to waste my time with that kind of customer service unless they are offering to pay for my wedding! My advise: Read this blog, see if it's worth it to you, and then decide whether or not to call.

I received the same type of phone call from Kathleen at this phone number.  They called my cell phone and my work.  It was hard to decipher the company name, but sounded like Chef Royal Bridal.  I haven't entered any drawings or anything so I knew right away this is a scam.  I'm hoping they just stop calling me because I don't want to have to call to get my phone number removed from their calling list.  I'm pretty pissed at David's Bridal for selling my information too because that's one of the few places I gave my work number to.

I got a call from Lakena as well, lol, and stated that I won a bridal package and trip from the expo I attended and that the gift can only be held for a "limited amount of time"

wow i got the msg from anteneta for some reason i had a feeling normally i dont but i googled it and im glad i did thank you everyone im so tired of scams goodluck everyone with your weddings!

I just received the same voicemail from "Kristina with a K" but I could barely understand the name of the compay she said it sounded like Shep World Brides, tried to google it and nothing came up. She said that I had one a trip and bridal package but she could only hold it for a little while. I was randomly chosen through a National Bridal Search or something like that. I have not gone to a bridal show in which I was the actual bride so I have no clue who they would have gotten my cell phoen# b/c I barely give it out. Glad I always google #'s I do not know before I called back. Not an arguement I want to have from my work desk, but I would like to know how they got my info.

Oh and the number was 631-271-2025 ext 5210. I live in MD, not even close!

I signed up for expo to not sure if they sold my info the show is not until tomorrow But I received this same call didn't call back just goggled the number thanks for the info

I just got the same call today. It was from "Debbie" from extension 7942. I was just about to call them, then I realized it's always best to check the net first. Same as other messages, she said she's from Chef World and that I won a gift and will be considered for the national draw. Should I call them to get my name off their list? Good thing there are websites such as this so that we can be warned.

You [***] people amaze me. All I see is a bunch of people complaining about a call they received. Not a single one of you actually got scammed. Where is the post about someone who went through with the whole deal and got scammed in the end??? I don't see one. All I see is a bunch of idiots complaining about a call that sounds like a scam. Where's the actual proof that someone lost money???
