- Taylor replies to JoleenI'm glad i googled the # too.....I just now got the phone call and a message from Cassie that I won some package and they're holding it for me....Also thinking Davids Bridal...i've been registered on their website....wont be calling Cassie back!! Thanks everyone!
- BrandyGot a call today from Cookworld saying that I won a trip/$1000 grocery gift card. Apparently they drew my name from a bridal show registration. Seems like some bullsh*t attempt to make me buy their products.

- Anti-telemarketerThank goodness for the internet! I also received a call from a lady about a bridal package I "won." Luckily, something told me to look online for the number before I called back. Thank you all for your comments!

- Killerbee2001| 1 replyJust got a call from Melissa at this number X3283. Thanks for the warning. I tried on dresses at David's but didn't buy from them. I'll make sure if my Bridesmaids dresses are from there that my girls don't give them a phone number. Thanks!

- MADBRIDETOBE replies to Killerbee2001I got a call last night from cookworld usa saying that i won a 3 day 2 night trip to any location of my choice, 1000 gift card and 40% off thier product. "Kathy" told me I didnt not have to buy anything they just wanted to cook me and my fiance a nice dinner and give us our gifts after being shown their product. I set up for my appt tonight at 630. Well after finding thisI will not be going. I called Davids Bridal to ask if they were one of David bridals venders they lady I talked to said they have never heard of them.
I have never been scamed so I am glad I looked up Cookworld USA. I typed in cookworld usa in google but there is nothing about them so I wonder if they are even sellling real stuff or if it is a scam to get you to write a check to them.
Thanks everyone for all your help

- Curious| 1 replyI see a lot of threads above that say they received a call but very few who went through the experience. Not to point out the obvious but how can they give away free stuff without at least TRYING to convince people to buy whatever it is they have to sell. This is afterall the United States of America where citizens, and companies, are driven by profit not charity. I too was a 'selected' winner and I have yet to decide whether or not it is BS but I also realize that in a capitalistic nation like the U.S.A. companies are not going to give away free stuff unless it is somehow profitable to them. And lets also realize that no advertisement on TV, the radio, in a magazine or over the phone is going to tell you 'everything'. Their objective is to hook you not overwhelm you with details. Yes there is always a catch - and from what I've read on the internet about Cook World the catch is sitting through a sales presentation. So if you feel too uncomfortable to say no to the sales person of overpriced cookware then maybe you should ignore this phone call. But if an hour or so presentation equates to a free trip (even if I do have to pay for airfare), a few free groceries, and a discount then I'll at least give it shot. If it turns out that the costs outweight the benefits, I'll walk away with an interesting story to tell and a funny memory to share with my fiance. I'd say the risk is worth it.

- carieTold them I would be there at 8:30pm tonight. Then found this info here so I will not show up. :)

- UpsetJust got a call from a so called "Jessie" saying that I won a prize and that she can only hold it for a limited time. 631-271-2025 xt3909. I don't remember signing up for any prizes. Kind of upset that the Bridal Expo sells your information. The number on my caller I.D. was 631-470-3626.

- Not a fan of David's BridalDavid's Bridal must be the culprit. I went to a fitting there and decided not to buy from them. I'm guessing they sold my information. Shame on them. Thanks for the information ladies.

- danibearSAME EVERYTHING that has already been reported. Christina ext. 5561. My fiance is in the Navy, therefore we could not go in as a couple so she said she'd hold my gifts and call me in 4-6 weeks. My gut instinct said it was a scam. I'm not suprised to find out that it pretty much is!

- JennyI just received a call from Alissa with R.P. Michigan (608-663-1186) stating I just won a bridal package and to call her back @ 800-676-4731 referral code 112*** (I'm sure this is just some kind of made up number). I'm so glad I was able to look this up on the internet and see what a SCAM this is. I still have no idea how they got my name and phone number. Thank you everyone for your postings!

- friendgotittoo replies to SCAMMEDmy friend and i got the same call from jeanetta!!!! lol. we are going to go to the hotel on tuesday in dover to confront them!!!!!!! love how ppl lie about dumb things!!! and idk how they got my info cause nobody had any of it..... except that application on david's bridal!!!!
- HeatherSame thing as all of you-before Kathy ext. 5838 even started in, I asked if I was obligated to purchase anything and I was told no. Just happened to have my first appt. with David's Bridal last month-go figure.

- Mrs. PeabodyI received a call on my cellphone from a Shana, telling me that "Sara" has been chosen to receive a bridal package. Um my name isn't "Sara"..not even close. I am however getting married and like someone else mentioned the only place I registered with was David Bridals. So like everyone else I called back just to hear what they had to say. After hear what they have to say I AM NOT INTERESTED. I was also told the company is changing their name from R.P. Bridal to Chef World Inc. After researching both names Chef World Inc. has been in existence since 2007...NEW COMPANY MY BEHIND. Sounds kinda phishy to me.

- Cookworkd is real!!! replies to deniseEverybody who got a call but did not report to the hotel does not have room to talk. My fiancé and I both went there and everything was real the trips, the 1000 coupons and the cook ware is real. We got a set of 2 pots in the mail are they are great. I thought it was a scam after I left because I google it but I and everyone else is dead wrong. I felt like a fool to go there and accuse a man of frauding when he really was not. People do not listen to these people that did not even bother calling back or going!!!! See for yourself it's real as can be. It's really your loss.
- SaraSo I just got a call from these people on my house phone & cell phone today telling me I won some trip & that it can't be held for long. I haven't entered any bridal contests & the only place that has any of my info. is David's Bridal! They even knew my last name! What kind of BS is this?!
- Caller: Chef World
- KatieGot a call from Joanna today, but I was driving and she said that I had 3 prizes and it would be best if I wasnt driving to write down everything. When I herd the voicemail that was sent to me I was wondering why she sounded like a robot reading something that she had read a million times. Most of these blogs sound like its a scam more so than its a good thing. I broke and barely getting by so I think Im gonna pass on this scam and it sounds like I need to talk to David's Bridal and cancel any appointment that I made with them..Sad that there are people like this is this world that have a job like this and dont care to do this is people.
- AshleighI received a phone call from 631-271-3754 saying I won a Bridal trip through this 1st Century Bridal place, and to call "Angie" back at 631-271-2025. Thankfully I checked out the number first! Watch out for this scam!
- Caller: 21st Century Bridal
- TammyI also received a call from a Michelle who told me my fiance and I had one a 3 day 2 night stay to one of 20 different locations, $1000 for groceries and 20-40% off some products. She wanted both of us to meet them
at a hotel convention but my fiance was not available to go the times she provided. I was told that both of us must be present and will receive our prizes after answering a 10 question survey on their products. The company name was still unclear even after her repeating it. She gave a call back #631-271-2025. I'm not saying this is a scam but just like a lot of other things out there it does sound to good to be true.
