I got a call from Amanda saying I won some free trips, a grocery coupon, and 10% off a cruise. I can pick up my "vouchers" at a presentation they're giving. Yeah, bull. I am so sick of scammers! This is the second call I got like this!
Watch out brides-to-be....these leeches are just trying to get your $$$!!!

The number they called me from is 608-663-1186.

Same thing mine was Johanna at extension 8574. I'm glad I googled it. I'm also so glad I told David's Bridal that my information was not to be sold.

@J. - That is the EXACT same voicemail I got, word for word.  Same phone number, different extension (9739) and different name (Kim).

This is insane.

#1 go and find that i won a trip, and 1000 bucks on groceries (which will be gone in two months anyway)
   and listen to people ramble about how good their products are and why i should buy them..
#2 find i was entered to win a trip that is not promised.., spend gas to go listen to the most annoying     people in the world... while being pressured to buy their stuff, spend money to have all kids watched for a couple of hours,  probably have to sign up for 10 other "scams" to get the 1000 for groceries and destroy my credit!

Id rather go home and keep to my daily routine!

I signed up for Davids Bridal too.. we are going to have a chat on Friday!!

Got the same voicemail from Joanna. Definitely sounds like a scam...I think they got my number from David's bridal. I don't give away my phone number that easily and David's bridal specifically asked for my phone number when I left it blank.

Got a call from the same number.  The chick that left the message said I won a trip and other prices.  I don't even remember signing up for anything!!!! DEFINITE SCAM!!!!!!!

We got a call too. I am more upset that Davids Bridal is giving out numbers! I dont care if it is a scam or not. DONT GIVE OUT MY NUMBER!

I had 2 missed calls from this number, from Cathy at ext. 8342.  When I called back to the main number, someone rudely put me on hold for several minutes.

I forgot to mention that I too have been solicited multiple times through email and phone after purchasing my bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal.

I just got the same call... I wanted to check on this. I will not be attending the presentation... my first clue is that they are setting up in a Holiday Inn. There is no retail location in CA.

Wow!  That is so crazy!  I just recieved a call from that company!  After I talked to the representative, I definitely googled it!  It was so amazing to see the phone number 631-271-2025, which is the same number that called me.  They promised all of the same things that were mentioned above!  What a bunch of bull!

THIS COMPANY IS TOTALLY DISHONEST, THEIR PRODUCTS COSTS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, AND THE SALES PEOPLE AT THE PRESENTATIONS  BECAME VERY THREATENING WHEN WE WHEN I ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PRIZES. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO !!!!!!  

I recieved the call from Jeanetta at Cookworld  stating I "won" 3 different prizes...1) 3 day/2 night trip to my choice of 20 different locations- including Honululu, St. Martins, Las Vegas, etc. . .2) $1000 in groceries, 3) 20 -40% off merchandise . I asked several times if purchase was necessary, Jeanetta reassured  me no, and I was told to go to a local hotel to pick up the items and hear a presentation.  

Against our better judgement, my fiance and I went to the presentation. I understand they expect you to buy their products. I was willing to spend a little, but THEIR PRODUCT LINES WERE AS HIGH AS 10,0000!!!! THE CHEAPEST WAS $1700. ARE THEY CRAZY- WHO CAN AFFORD THIS FOR POTS AND PANS IN TODAY'S ECONOMY? The cookware was nice , but definetly not worth that. IT WAS HINTED THAT WE HAD TO BUY THE PRODUCTS TO GET THER PRIZES.  


For the trip, it turns out their are only 3 locations- not the 20 the said on the phone the day earlier. And of course, your airfare is not included. The $1000 in groceries- is actually something you have to send in for to get coupons on various products .

When we started to ask questions about the cost of the products and the promotions, "TOMMY" the sales rep went from supernice to a super [***], He was screaming at us, and talking down to us. Implying we must be stupid not to buy this product, because he had letters from "people with Master's degrees , Doctor's, sports trainer's, etc" Then he actually showed us laminated letters from people, how pathetic! He also said " I'm not a travel agent" when we asked more about the trip.  When I ask about the groceries, at first he pretended like he did not know what we were talking about. He then referred us to his wife who was working with him, I did not catch her name, but when I told her that we were told on the phone that we did not have to buy, she very rudely stated, " Go take an adverstising class"  and we were kicked out for politely asking questions.

This company will go out of business if it keeps this up, because people put up with such lying [***].

i got my phone call on thursday set up my appt. for friday night they offered me a free trip and and $1000 grocery card to watch a cook wear presentation i went and guess what i got my trip and my grocery card so if you people would actually take a chance and go youd see its not a scam

i just got the same call at work and on my cell phone. i also went to david's bridal to look at dresses and they made me feel out the form with my phone number at home and my work number. so glad i found out it was a scam before i called back to the make the appointment.
