same for me...called me and my mother's phone number about a complaint against me gave me 24-48 hours to call back

I received a phone call today from a so called special investigator name Stacey Gordon. She called from an available number and left a message claiming that a complaint has been filed against. I told instructed to call this number. I figured it was a scam so I didnt bother calling it.

I received a call on 6/25/12 from an investigator "Kalle Lee" (sounds more like a porn star name) that I needed to call back 757-214-6785 concerning a case and restraining order against the person who used to own my current cell phone number which I had acquired last year. The case number she was claiming was EKCK2411 and I needed to call within 24-48 hours. My husband and I looked up the number online first because it has been an ongoing battle with harassment calls from creditors for the person who had the phone I own now. I refuse to change my number and have added my number to the DO NOT CALL LIST and have complained to the FCC about these types of calls, but this one takes the cake. I tried to call these people at "Direct Process Services" back to give them a piece of my mind , but was put on hold for forever. I will complain to the Attorney General's Office and seek legal council to stop these people before they disrupt my life any further. They have no shame !!! How do they sleep at night?

A Donnie Brook called my job today and told my TA he was a private investigator and stated i take it my name dont work here anymore.  She told him to hold on and by the time she was gonna transfer the call to me he had hung up.  Received a call on my cell phone from an unknown caller in which i never answer.  Donnie Brook left me a message stating he was a private investigator and that the phone call was in regards to a going to court for a legal matter and left me a ref # and the phone # 757-214-6785.  When i called this #, i spoke with a Christopher Clark who states i owe a payday loan and that i could pay a lower amount than what i owed to clear this up today.  Told him i never applied for a loan for in which the company he named and he states they deal with several other payday companies.  Yes this scared me as well but sounds like a scam to me.  These people should be prosecuted for doing this to people.  I can just imagine how many people have falling for this and gave these people their personal information.

So sick of these calls. I don't owe any $ to any pay day loan co.

Received a threatening call to collect money. No ID number was listed, and this is the number is what is listed. I will not talk if no number will be shared.  Made a call to the number, and did not answer. They were nit able to trace the call.

I got a call from number 757-214-6785 stateing that have a restraining order and have my lawyer to call. I call that number and they keep you on hold and nerver answer. Who are they? and What do they want.

Called Attorney General and Better Business Bureau

received a call that told me to call this number back because someone has filed legal action against me, he would not tell me who or what company,

Received a call from Special Agent, Tracy Gordon who advised that they were in the process of filing a restraining order against me and that I need to contact my attorney to resolve this matter.  I was given an affadavit #, but Special Agent, Tracy Gordon was unable to tell who was filing the restraining order or why.  In researching this # on the internet, it appears this is a scam.  The company is based in Newport News, VA and I live in Texas.

Got the same type of call from a female saying I have a restraining order and need to call back with my Atty. Pls Pls Pls somebody help us put us a stop from these CROOKS, SCAMS. I do not owe a penny to this peple or who ever they represent. She called my work, my sister'
s house. Don't understand how they're getting our phone #'s.

I got the same call you guys got but this time it was with Investagator Waters she told me some had put a restraining order I askes with whom or what company and she said that she did not know, she gave me a number for my case and the phone to Direct Process servers I called and all I got was music I did not even speak with any one how do we get the police to investgate this company.

They called a relative of mine leaving a ref# and the name Investigator Drake, I called and had them on speaker, and he didn't say anything and just hung up.

What did they say?? the attoney general, because its hard to get the police to assist with these kind of calls.

We need to report any calls to the Better Business Bureau, forcing them to investigate these people. They need to catch them and take the information they have away. And find out how they obtained it, because with the information they have they can do anything to you, like get credit in your name. Freeze your credit with Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Keep an eye on your credit.
Please remember, if it isn't your local police station calling you or someone in your state talking about legal action, most likely it's a scam. They would have to go to your state and county in order to file paperwork on anything. And no one from any other state should be contacting you. This company has been calling my place of employment and my mother-in-law. If the can give out information out freely to any one answering the phone it should be against the law.

I just called back and made barking sounds - didn't accomplish anything, but did make me feel better since I knew it was a scam.

I just got the same call.  THANK YOU all so much for this information as I would have never known it was a SCAM.  I did a lookup on the phone # to see what I could figure out and saw this blog.

I got a call from investigator donny brooke  757-214-6785  He said he was calling from alexander, virginia    re: affidadivid - C7AB1116.  He was actually calling about my relative and said he had my number as well and to get the message to him to call and get further details about what needed to be done to remediate the problem.  

I like the idea of asking for information about the company to be sent to you ahead of time.  Website, address, whatever they will share.  My only bit of information is not offer any information.  The more they get the more than can figure out to call and seem even more real.

got a call for someone who does not live at this address.  I requested that their records reflect that and to delete my number from their contact list.  I was told that the caller could not do that but I could call 7572146785 and give them an affidavit number to make that request.  When I called all I got was irritating music for a while before I hung up.

These people called my mother, whom I haven't lived with in 15 years looking for me today. They called from 757-214-6785 with a case number of P44T1634. She of course gave me a nice talking to about not taking care of my business. (That was fun) They didn't give her much information, just that they were looking for me and that she needed to let me know to call them back with the case number. She said that she told them that she was my mother and if the matter didn't involve her that they needed to not be calling her back. I got on google to look up who these people even were because I could not for the life of me figure out who I could owe. Somewhat relieved that it's nothing but a scam. I don't know how they linked my mother's number with me, as I haven't ever lived at the address she's currently at, and I've never used the phone number she currently has. Very curious! Now to convince my mother that I do take care of my business and this wasn't a real call.... LOL
