I am also getting phones calls for about 2 months now. I never answer. So far calls are coming under 757 961 3544; 877 803 0008; 757 961 3546;. Strange enough they do not leave a voice message. My rule is if I dont know the number and you dont leave a voice massage i do not answer or call back.

This is certainly Portfolio Recovery Assoc. a debt collection agency that tries
to collect debts that are WAY beyond the Statute of Limitations and so are
uncollectable in Court.Portfolio Recovery is a Jamican Phone Scam.  There are many numbers that they use to get you to bite.  If you answer just one of these calls it will tell you to call another number.  Not only do you get charged for the minute that you answer the call that gives you another number to call, but if you are as foolish and naive as I was you will end up getting a bill in upwards of $200.  I suggest that if this happens call your provider immediately and let them know that this was part of a jamican phone scam.  AT&T had remarkable service.  They issued a credit memo and within a month the charges were taken off of my bill.  The downside to the bogus numbers is that there are many more.  My rule of thumb at my house, is that unknown name or blocked calls or even numbers that show up on your caller id with unknown origin....DONT ANSWER IT!  You may have to pay.  BEWARE and keep this site alive.  It has saved me many times.

Calls about on an average on 3x a day.  Very harrasing, and person on the other end can barely speak english.

Got a call from this number. the lady refused to identify who she was or who she represented. Said she would call back.

I just watch my caller ID, if I don't know you I don't answer. If you leave a message and no information I delete the message. So you just keep on calling and I will keep on ignoring you. Portfolio Recovery Services Comp. doesn't that just piss you off..lmFAO

they called looking for persons with my last name l am the only one living here and my credit is excellent l do not owe nobody .  This number call on sundays they do not suppose to call they do not answer . reporting this number does it really help?.

Called but left no message. Have called multiple times in one day.

It just called me. Then hung up after the first ring. Didn't leave a message or even wait for me to pick up. And it's done this several times through out the day.

They've called my 37 times in one week. This is the second time I've had to deal with the same company. Apparently you have to send them a new letter telling them to stop every time you change addresses or something.

At one point I'd disputed a debt on my credit report with a credit card company I'd never used. The credit card company had to stop reporting it, but I guess they'd already sold the alleged info to these people. So a couple of months after I thought I'd cleared it up, it showed up on my report again with these guys instead of the original company.

this number started calling my cell phone this morning and called again tonight. I got online just to look up the area code, but wow to see all these people on here get calls from the same number!!!!.... thats definately a scam... thanks for the info!

Noticed the call coming through at 8:30am, didnt answer. No message left. Immediately looked up who it might be, thanks for this blog posting it helped answer my question a lot.

Yep they call me several times a day. I never answer but it is soo annoying. Thanks for the info.. I am glad to know its not legit so I will just set the number to silence so it doesnt bother me.
