This is LEGIT. I signed up for this, was a pre-recorded call based on info they already had, about my policy application being accepted. The 1-800# in recording is also legit.

I  do not answer any phone numbers that do not show their identity.  A health care company should have no problems stating their name.

The caller has left two messages on my work phone. He claims that he is from United HealthCare and is processing a health claim for me and that he needs my Tax ID so wants me to fax a W9 to 866-276-9060. He called from 763-274-3899 and told me his call back number is 952-948-8254. Many people here claim this really is United Health Care. I don't trust it for several reasons. He's calling my work number that I don't give out. I don't have United Health Care as a provider. I'm not receiving any medical treatment and have no claims with any health care provider.

You say you always leave your name and a message? I got a call and no message was left! Several others have the same! If you were legit and really cared, you really would leave important info like your name and an 800 number with an extention! Keep in mind that your calls do bug us and appear to be spoofed scam calls!

This is a scam.  They tried gleaning info out of me regarding my 92 y/o mother-in-love.  I've reported the number and blocked it.  Shame on people who provide erroneous information claiming this is not a scam.

Im on the do not call list yet I STILL  receive phone solicitation calls. I was told when turning in a number to try to get a web address because tracking a number is near impossible. So I got a call from 763-274-3899 it says Elk Grove MI. , I listened to the message they left with another number 855-427-4682 and a reference # 11959789 I called the 855 # to get a web address to report them. They never asked for the lengthy ref # . They did give me a web address BriovaRx.com. So it appears to be a real company BUT is still an unsolicited phone call. I am pretty certain judging by the complaints here that this company has gotten some of our information from UNITED HEALTH CARE as it seems we all have that in common. This company did not mention UHC to me but I do have UHC ins. and I see many here mention it also. So after looking at their website I still plan to report the numbers, the website because scam or not, I am on the national do not call list and they are not supposed to be calling my number. The other sketchy thing is others here saying they claim to be from UHC but they only said Biova to me.

This is a very real call. If you listen to the message it will ask you to call another number to return the call. I compared that number to my insurance card and it did match the number for my online pharmacy. My doctor has sent s prescription (that I had requested so I knew about it) and OptumRx had a question regarding the size of syringe I needed. They wanted to make sure to send the right size.

    Works at a hospital.
This is a number that shows up on a caller ID for UMR, which is a medical review arm of United Healthcare. It is not a number you can call back. If a message is not left it's likely because there isn't enough verifying information on your voicemail for them to leave a message. If someone is calling from that number a medical provider is probably trying to obtain authorization for a drug or procedure you need or wanting information because they are disputing a payment claim from your medical provider. If you get a call from this number you can call them back at 800-808-4424. It's fair that folks are suspicious, but it's also a HIPAA violation for health care or any patient identification to be shared with anyone other than the patient and associated caregivers.

Got a call said they wanted to update my mom's records. Not gonna happen on a cold call. The number on the screen simply said United States. If UHC is not connected then they need to realize people will not be giving out info. I called the customer line that said they had no record of the call or "reference" number. Walks like a duck . . . sounds like a scam to me.

This number claims to be United Healthcare and was calling me to get information to be sure my claims were being submitted correctly. They had my name and my wife's email address and wanted further information of which I didn't even let them get to telling me and told them that I won't give any information over the phone unless I can successfully identify who they are. They told me that they understand and said they would send the request through my wife's email. I told them I'd be lookin out for it, not really.

The person who left the extremely long winded response who claims to be a nurse is obviously part of the scam because my call had nothing to do with AARP nor would it since I'm not of that age yet.

Bottom line is NEVER give out information to ANYONE over the phone. Especially when they tell you "don't worry, everything is fine". If everything is fine then there is no reason to talk to anyone.

If you think its real, why are you on this page with the rest of us trying to find out if its real? If it legitimate for you, you wouldnt google it as if you weren't sure like the rest of us.

That's nice, but when you call 3 months after you have been informed that the person that had your service is dead and insist that your company has not been informed you create stress and a total melt down.

UHC Nurses: get a message to to superiors we need vmail & explanations. Common courtesy - you call us on a masked number. I am a member, not only of UHC, but of the National do not disturb registry. To me, this method of business is no better than robo callers
