Never left a message on my phone. VM is silence and 45 long (waste of time) seconds. My VM directs the caller to leave a detailed message but nothing. This DOES bug me.

Saying it UNC I called UNC , they said it not them they look the number up it not their number. It a bogus number they are reporting it , SCAMMERS!!!

It a scam it not UHC I called them. That number isn't theirs they are reporting it. It a scam dont give info.

This is indeed a care manager (nurse) from United Health Care.  I speak to them regularly.

Just received a call from this random number.  Had a hard time understanding what they were even saying with her accent  but she wanted my pharmacy name the fax number and the phone number and to update their records and talk about it.  Didn't catch the reason behind any of this so I  said they have my information because I work for the pharmacy and I hung up. Scam maybe?

I am not a member of your program and am on both the state and federal do not call lists. If I receive more unsolicited and unwanted call from this number, I will file a complaint with our state attorney general.

I received a call from this number claiming to be United Health Care which raised a red flag as I have been getting various fake calls lately.  I asked this person to make a note on the file and give me the way to verify that they were real when I called back.  They said they were Robert G and they would make a note on the file and that I should call 800-638-3120 to speak to an operator and verify that the call was legit.  THEY WERE SO GOOD I REALLY BELIEVED THEM, but I did not give out any information.   I called the main number after verifying it was a good number and gave my info to get into my file - and THERE WAS NO NOTE ON THE FILE!.

So this scammer is good.  Really good.  Polite, clean and clear English and patient. As a computer professional, knowing anyone can spoof the caller ID using a VOIP service, I was almost duped into saying OK whatcare you calling for.

So be warned - do what I did.  Ask the person for a first name and last name initial (that is what they say they can give out) and ask them to make a note on the file.  Then you call back and if the note is on the file - ask why they called.

same here, got a phone call from this number and 45 seconds of silent vm.  I called back and the automated intro says it's UHC just like all other posts say, but I don't have UHC as insurance......

I have received 6 phone calls from this number in 2 hours. Not once have they left a message. I have read the "this is bogus"/"this is not bogus" comments in this thread but what I know is - anyone who calls me 6 times in a short amount of time without leaving a message doesn't really need to talk to me.

Been getting calls from this # (7632743899) to my cell phone at least weekly, sometimes more frequently, for the past 3 or so months. I never answer & they never leave a message. My search on this # led me to this site. This is a SCAM call/caller. How do I know? My cell phone is only for emergency use - I only give that # to immediate family & I have had the number for over 15 years. Also, my current insurance doesn't go thru "Optum" or "UHC" or "United Healthcare" ... nor do they offer "wellness coaches / nurses" or whatever it is that previous posters say are calling ... if they did, they would call my home phone or work phone, because those are the only contact numbers I ever give out for such things. Do not answer the call or give out any personal info if you do!!

May not be a scam, but a scam may be spoofing the number to try to phish for information. In my case it was United Health Care returning a call from a voicemail I had left them on a Sunday (I had called the 800 number on the insurance card at that time), just to let me know that the insurance mix-up that I reported had been taken care of. Did not ask for any account information, had the name on the policy correct, and had the details of the issue I reported correct. Probably a good idea to answer the call and if they are seeking information hang up, but if they are giving you information they may be legit.

this number called close to 6pm,when most do since people are home for dinner,left no message

no info. but hung up and no message left-I do not know anyone in Minneapolis and this morning I deleted tho,a young man mumbled about hiring a home health aide-my husband takes prescriptions but not in need of an aide?

No it's a SCAM. This person called a business which was a very well known excellent hospital.  This hospital provides its own medical coverage to it's employees.    That was the eye raiser here, caller was calling a business -

The same number called me 763-274-3899 and said they were calling from UHC.  They asked me to call back, they were calling about an application. (I know I never made any applications to UHC). Something told me to check this number on-line to see if there were any other complaints.  Sure enough there are multiple complaints about this number.

They said they were United Health.  I called United Health and they said they don't recognize the call back number left one my phone.

That is the out-bound phone number for United Healthcare.  That number will come up no matter which department or entity they are from.  For example, that number came up on my work phone, (I work in the claims department for several providers) when I returned the call, (because they left no voicemail) it rang back to a recorded message that that number was the out-bound only number. They don't want you to be able to actually get through to a competent representative. This would apply to all UHC plans. Secure Horizons, UHC Medicare Replacement Policies, Individually purchased UHC coverage, group policies, etc. All of which are on the same system, that is why they have so much of your information already. NOTE:  Their customer/member/provider customer service is the absolute worst and is usually a call off-shore.
