THE SAME EXACT scenario just happened to me today and I had had such a heckuva time getting the pre-authorization that I almost fell for it and gave them my info but because they had already called my doctor 80 times, that is my legitimate insurance company called my doctor 80 times, the scam number wasn’t about to call them one more time which is what they were wanting to do. They were demanding that I give them my doctors phone number. When I called my insurance company they said that the prior authorization had already been done that no one would ever call me asking me for information or requesting permission to call my doctors office. They have my doctors office information and if they need a prior authorization they just call my doctor they don’t need to call me first to get permission or to call my doctor. I can’t believe this is still going on and the fact that there’s people below that are either also scammers trying to act real or they are people who fell for the scam and don’t realize that the scammers now have their sensitive information. I wish these people could be stopped I’m glad you realized it was a scam as well

If this is all true, why have they hung up as soon as I answer the last three days in a row?

Called and wanted my health information.  I told him I did not believe my health company would be calling me, therefore I will not give you any information.  He became angry and slammed the phone off.  He said he was United HEalth care.

My elderly mother got a call on Dec 21 2022 from this number and it was someone with a heavy accent stating they were from United Healthcare and something about a policy was being questioned or denied. She had trouble understanding the call and thinks she did not give out information. However, she was very upset because she has been dealing with some stuff with the real UHC and had filed a grievance asking about coverage. I just talked to the real UHC and they don't have any record of a call and her  open case# is still open. So what was this upsetting call. So annoyed that scammers are victimizing old people like this

CallerID says "Unitedhlth Care", which of course it is not (that would be "United Health").  They left a message to call back.  Blocking this number now.

You will have to blame your phone company for the misspelling.

Like many others, got a call from this number with a caller ID of United Healthcare. I foolishly answered it. The person gave me her name and said that she was my UHC Advocate and wanted to introduce herself. She also said that her direct number was on the back of my insurance card and to call her any time. This of course is not true.

UHC is going through be a breech. Do not pick up this number. Report it to the FTC.

Scam/breech

I think this is United Health , no message laughter and office noise in background. I did make changes to my plan today. So maybe it is related. I did not ask for any follow up nor do I want any. I will ignore it.
