I have been receiving calls from 775-412-4499 ...over and over again for many months. Sometimes I get other 1-800 numbers too one being 1800-395-5557. I don't know if they are related but all the numbers started coming at the same time...I don't owe anyone any money except for a old school loan...so don't know who is calling...they are relentless call all the time now over and over...I am thinking of changing my number. Funny thing is ...when I answer to see who it is they just hang up...and they never leave messages on the answering machine ...feel as if I am being watched and harassed for no reason.....help!!!! Can all of us who get them numbers ban together to get it to stop???? Please help! Julia from Missouri.

This number called my fiance' and left a 2 second voicemail saying nothing.  I called it back and learned they are a collection agency.  They were calling for someone else entirely, and I told them to take her number off of that list.  We'll see if they call again..

I get calls from this number all the time. I never answer because I dont know who its. Today I got a call from them and on my caller ID it showed as a call coming in as my own number...lol. When I went back and looked at the call log it was the same 775 number that always call. I believe they are using an auto dial system becasue I get 3 calls a day at about the same time everyday.

There several simple and just solutions:
1): Close down Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.  They only exist to ruin lives.
    2)  Make all debts over 7 years old non collectible-- no more "zombie debt."
    3) Make all collection agencies call from genuine (not spoofed) numbers that can be blocked-- and only ONE number per agency.
    4) Put collection agencies under the same rules as telemarketers (collection agencies are just telemarketers that can legally pracrtice extortion).  For instance, they have to stop calling upon the first verbal request to do so.  The situation now is that you have to send them a certified letter requesting that they stop calling.
    5) Collection agencies should have to abide by "do not call" lists.
    6) Debt should not be sold. The situation is that if bill collector A gives up, they sell the debt to bill colelctor B for pennies on the dollar.  When bill collector B gives up, they sell it to colector C for even less.  When collector C gives up... This results in perpetual harassment (and the collectors get scummier and scummier as the debt passes from one to another).   This has to end.  The people doing this are debt speculators, in the same vein as the mortgage speculators that ruined our economy.  No doubt they're waiting for their chance to ruin things too.

Company answered the phone after calling them back. Reported themselves as National Collections. Navada based from what I can track on phone records. They called in regards to a rather old account that is legitimate. They are attempting to collect for drive time. I personally had no negative experience with the person I spoke with. They have called 5 times over 2 months. They are far less persistence, at least with my account, than other people attempting to collect this debt.

First time I got a call.  I answered and a recording came on. I Hung up and called them back using a fake caller ID. I don't know them nor have any credit issues other than my ID stolenast year in Vegas. But if they keep calling and harassing me, I will pull a Joe Pesci on them. I hate these type of predators. And N aluminium bat works well. Leave me alone.

I had them do that to me once and I feel for it but my bank manager saved me. She sent me to the BBB and they gave me a site to go to that lets you feel out information on what happened. Then we also changed my bank account number.

Just today I received a few back to back calls from these aggressive, bottom-feeding Scam Artists on home phone.   I never answer calls from unknowns, and my answering machine is not working anyway.    If they are calling regarding  Fingerhut, I did have an account with them which was Paid in Full at least 8  years ago..  I have Nothing to discuss with con artists like them, and If they keep harassing me I will at least report them to the FCC..

I have a non-published, non-listed number and yet I have gotten 2 calls from these idiots in 3 days.  I don't answer to any number I don't know. I had my phone number changed about 4 or 5 months ago because of irritating calls.  It was fine for a few weeks, then started getting the calls again.  They are some how acquiring private #'s, which is very illegal or they have a robo dialer that just calls anyone to see if they can get anyone stupid enough to go along with them. If it is a auto dialer I have read about a device called the tel-zapper that once hooked up stops any calls originating from an auto dialer. They cost about $40.00 and right now I'm not going to spend the money.  I will hold out not answering my phone and they'll get tired of calling!!.  I don't owe anyone.  They can keep calling til they turn green.  They are nothing but bottom feeding pieces of trash that can to straight to!!!!

They called me and then when someone gets on the phone they ask me for my phone number.  I say " hey you people called me you should have my number. "  She states that she got back to her desk and can look it up by caller ID. I hung up.  If your getting calles from this number just hang up.

I get calls all the time on my cell phone from this number. Two or three times a day for a few days and then nothing for  a few weeks and then it starts again. They are NOT worth my effort to talk to. I made a ring tone called "nothing" and assigned it to this a other numbers. Now when they call NOTHING rings lol problem solved I just see a missed call.
