Be careful if you talk to anyone of these creeps, Do NOT under any circumstances acknowledge the debt, if they get you on tape, they can start that 7 year clock ticking again. It still does not give them standing to sue you in most cases. They buy old debts for pennies on the dollar, then use boiler room calls to try and intimidate you into paying up.

Either ignore them completely, or ask them (without commenting on who you are and what you may owe) to send you a copy of the ORIGINAL bill. They will lie and say they don't need it, it's federal law, they just don't have it because they have no real standing to sue. They even threaten people with jail over what is a civil rather than a criminal matter. If they call you at work, tell them to contact you ONLY through the mail, it is against the law for them to call you at work if you tell them not to. Turn them into your state attny. generals office. Try and get a name, they can be charged with a crime and cannot hide behind their company in most states. But they usually lie about their name, lots of Bills and Marys working for these scumbags.

They have called my number even though they've been told that Jennifer Knickerbocker does not live at this phone number or residence on several occasions! If they continue they will be advised that I'm on the DNC Registry AGAIN and this time that I will turn them over to the FCC as well as the Attorney General in the State of California for harassing phone calls when they've been told that this person does not reside at this number! I will not tolerate repeated phone calls from them to my residence!!!!! Since they called the last time I have not picked up but if they call again I will pick up and advise them of my plans. If they're unavailable...SO AM I!!! I have all the information I need on this company to file a legitimate complaint against them and I WILL DO IT!!!

I called the number back stating that I'm not the person they are looking for. The lady told me that she will take my number off there list but that it will take 48 to 72 hours to completely take it off. J

They switch to another number as soon as they are reported, switch again and so on. It's drug traffic, it's been 20 and they are the same people who've been bothering people for years. The most useful creeps work for the phone company.

It's not debt collection, so don't worry, my records totally clean. THEY owe money. It's the same creeps who've been bothering you for years who found access to the phone.

DON'T PAY these callers or the sources you THINK they represent, but don't, A DIME!! They are totally disreputable and any good judge would agree. Put don't pay messages on all the sites that call you and don't worry. They are hundreds of times more guilty than you are. Thye don't represent good companies, they often represent drug traffic and the creeps who've been bothering you for years.

this number comes up several times on caller id, but they never leave a message...i picked up the phone once and whoever was on the other end hung up...i normally do not pick up numbers i don't recognize, but i was curious to see who was on the other end since they call several times a day....

these people are just doing there job if they found u dont get mad just make argments to clear it up or dispute the debt if its older then 7yrs old then dont worry about it.

Got a call from them about debt I have no clue about whatsoever. I explained this to them but hey insist on calling me every other day from phone numer - 775-412-4499.

My Mom is getting calls from this number.  A girl is asking her to be her friend.  So far they have not tried to collect any old or fictictious bills.  The last time they called the girl was on the phone and was just talking away when some man then took the phone and told Mom that all they want is a donation.
My Mom is elderly and can't always see the caller ID # well so she just answerws the phone when it rings.  She has started just hanging up when she realizes it is someone she does not know.   We are going to go to the police department with this information.   I just want them to stop calling her as it
upset her when they call.   But she will not send them any money or give them a donation.

These people keep calling me looking for someone that does not live in my houshold.

I just got my 2nd call in three days looking for Mohammad H. Hassan. This is a new cell phone just issued to me by my employer. I'm not looking forward to what's in store, judging by the comments I have seen here. I will monitor the calls and consider a FTC complaint if they don't stop the calls. When I told her today that no one by than name was at this number, she said she would remove my number from her list. Now, after seeing your comments, I doubt that will happen.

this phone #775-412-4499 call me every day, they always emtioned wrong name to me.i have corrected them they got wrong number but they still keep calling me.

I have been getting calls from 775-412-4499 since April 3.  They call every day about 1pm and never leave a message.  I'm a teacher and don't answer my phone while I'm teaching.  Thanks for your messages and info on  how to report them.

I got two calls on my cell phone April 30th @ 11:51AM.  They waited until voicemail picked up and then hung up.  I googled the the number and found this site.

I get these type calls on my phone as well and don't owe anybody anything. I check the number on the internet to see who is calling.. I did find out that these calls are computer generated but someone still has to put the numbers in the computer..DAH..!! Try calling Congress and ask them why you are still getting these calls..?? I believe you will find they won't do anything to help you because they will have to order the FTC to do their jobs and stop these people or take them to court..!! Just remember you voted for these guys who could care less about you now because their already in office....!!!!! Truth always hurts...???
