- Alexander replies to TrudyTrue it is PNC security. the ones saying they asked SS number are lying after calling thisnumber I called the PNC number on the back of my card. My account was flagged, and she never asked anything or for a pin or anything personal. too bad you have to protect yourself from the truly scum bag calls.
- Mrs AThis is absolutely PNC Fraud prevention...they verified all info and my card had been compromised..someone tried to make a large purchase in Florida, where I had left 4 days ago. The attempt was made 12 minutes before they called me! THAT is excellent service! A new card is coming my way already! Thanks to PNC!!

- Annoyed PNC Customeri have received 2 calls from this number today, claiming to be from PNC checking on potential fraudulent activity on my account. I have talked to my local branch in person, as well as reveiwing transactions on line. There is no problem with my account. The call is NOT from PNC as they claim. They are trying to get me to reveal personally identifying information. Fraud.
- Caller: Claims to be PNC - Fraud
- KellyThis is legitimate. I called PNC 8887622265 to verify that the call was legit and they said it was and transferred me to their fraud department to verify that activity on my card was authorized by me. Luckily, it was. I'm grateful that they are on the case in keeping my money safe.
- Caller: PNC
- NurseThey call every day starting at 8 am I have no PNC account SCAM
- Scam callReceived a recording from this number saying it was about fraudulent charges on a debit card. Asked for my husband, however the last four digits they provided was not his debit card. Recording said to push any number to continue. Called the number on the back of my PNC Bank card, and they did not make the call and there was no suspicious activity. This is someone spoofing PNC's number and trying to verify/get information. Be safe and always double check with your bank before you acknowledge anything over the phone.
- Caller: Stated "PNC" It wasn't
- Greg PDefinitely a real number from PNC. I managed to trigger their fraud system yesterday when I was ordering some stuff online. Some of my items had free shipping and some didn't, and it was cheaper to split it up into 2 purchases. Apparently the two transactions one right after the other to the same place adding up to $700+ flagged it as suspicious.
Automated call, said PNC security or something like that. Asked for me by name only needed the last 4 of the card number, they wanted me to verify the 4 most recent charges on my card and they were all legit.- Caller: PNC Security
- Greg P replies to Fraud SquadThere may be a lot of phishing schemes going on, but this is not one of them. They know your name, want to you verify just the last 4 of your card number, and they *know* your last four transactions.
I triggered a call from them yesterday when I made a couple large purchases online one right after the other to the same place and within 30 seconds of the second transaction this number called me wanting me to verify my activity. It's legit. - EmilyThis is the PNC bank fraudulent prevention number! I live in an area where credit card and debit card fraud are at an all time high right now and I got a call and panicked. I called the pnc customer service number and they confirmed a denied transaction on my account because of security issues with the transaction which I had made last night.
- R401PNC fraudulent activity on visa/debit card. This is legitimate.
- Caller: PNC Bank
- Alan| 1 replyIt's legit. Pnc fraud just wanting to check on 3 recent transactions to ensure your security. They list the transactions and press 1 if you approved or 2 not approve. I called the main pnc number and they confirmed it was from them and transferred me.
- Caller: Pnc
- Cheryl replies to AlanI received call from this number 3 days ago. Stupidly called back. They knew my last 4 digits of debit & then I had to give them information because two small charges were not mine. Told one was declined - second is pending. Cancel card - check next day for it to post before I can claim as fraud? They called me? Nothing for three days, pending. Called real PNC number & told would note account. I tried to confirm new card etc. she said account by noted all I can do. I started to think maybe the first call was a scam and I fell for it. I texted the 1800 number & it went through several times. I then called & told them internet says scam & texting worked. She said I would here at 4am answering phones if not PNC & text could not have gone through. Hung up - pnc real number not available at this time - but she was. Not sure right now but very wary.
- CherylCan text this number - call PNC number on card
- Caller: Told pnc fraud?
- Teresa| 1 replyReceived a call this morning from 800-225-5671 and it is truly the Fraud Prevention Dept at PNC. We visited our local branch 1st to verify this # & any potential fraud activity and they verified it was in fact a correct #. We live in Ohio are currently at home. PNC said our card was attempted to be used at 8am this morning 06/22/2016 for $131 at a Sunoco Station in BETHEL, PA. We are at HOME and we are NOT currently in nor have we ever been in BETHEL, Pennsylvania. This is absolutely a correct & valid #. If you call your local branch 1st they will verify it as well.

- NoWayThey called 3 times on June 21st, 2016. They were automated calls requesting information. The calls were all made to my mothers phone, NOT mine, about MY account! I went to PNC branch that I deal with. They said my account was fine, no flags. Nobody from PNC had called me or her. They said it was a fraud call trying to get information on my account to gain access and to NEVER give out information over the phone. In fact, they said (which I knew) that I had my account set up that I only receive notices by Email, not phone.
- Caller: Phony PNC
- NoWay replies to TeresaI live in Ohio, went to my branch and was just told it was not them that called and the account was fine.
- no name replies to BigKahunaFSUgot called today from this number at 9:09 AM. This is a scam call.
- MetalBThis really is PNC, after getting 2 calls within 2 hours, I called the main PNC number, not a local branch, and gave them this number, and they confirmed its their Fraud Department, but I didn't have to call it back, they were able to help me themselves, someone in London(I live in Chicago) tried using my card # twice yesterday, PNC declined the transactions, and that's why they were trying to call me, new debit card on the way! Thanks PNC! SO ANSWER OR CALL BACK! Your PNC cards may have been compromised!!
- Caller: PNC Fraud Department
