spam, stealing my id and verify
taken from pnc bank

This was legitimate for me. It was PNC.

Called at 10:30 on a Sunday night!  What business does that?  A fraud!  Don’t answer.

It's real. They left me a voicemail. I was skeptical so I called the number I knew to be true of PNC. They forwarded me to the fraud department and someone had tried to use my card to make a purchase - luckily they made a crappy copy of my card and the chip wouldn't work so the bank didn't let it go through.

It is NOT fraud. It's PNC Loss Prevention. All you have to do is call the number on the back of your card and they will verify it's their fraud department.

This number is a scam! I just called PNC bank and they confirmed it. The number does belong to PNCs lost prevention team but someone has duplicated it! DO NOT TRUST! The caller ID will show “PNCLOSSPREVENTION” … Scammers 🤬

Posts here go back to 2012 and mixed in are shill posts from scammers and trolls. I would not trust calls from this number. If the number is legitimately from PNC, scammers still can spoof the number.
The safe thing to do is call PNC yourself on a number you KNOW is correct, and see if they have been calling you.

got a call from this #, sorta:ID says Spam?PNCCARLOST. i do Not have Anything to do with PNC bank. my cars were in my garage. didn't answer. guess this one really IS spam!!
