Call and hung up

The call said that my phone has been suspended and then proceeded to give me an automated message. This is a SCAM not AT&T. I called AT&T to verify if anything is wrong with my account and they told me that my account is fine and that they have been fielding calls all day because of this scam. Do not give away any personal information.

Calls & leaves no message! 😡😩

The number 800-283-2020 calls and never leaves a message several times a week. Most of the calls I ignore. I decided to call the number, was  on hold for 18 minutes. A women with an accent asked me why I was calling and I said because you ATT Call me and never leave a message. I asked to have my number removed from the calling list that I did not have an ATT  account. She said that I do. I said  I don't, She also could not give me any information about my account that she insisted I had. My phone number is unlisted and a private phone system nothing to do with ATT. She told me that I should put my number on the DO NOT CALL LIST. I told he it is and why are you calling me? I told her that I was going to block the number and file a report with FTC. She said I have the right to do so. Her elevator did not go all the way to the top floor!

it wasn't  AT&T. when AT&T calls the AT&T pops up as the caller. they where trying to sell me a 90 dollar insurance protection on my tv .I hung up

This is a scam! It's not Att. Give them nothing! Hang up!

Got call from 800-288-2021.  SPOOF PHONE CALL TO TRY TO GET YOUR CELL PHONE ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS.  They left voicemail saying, "Dear AT&T wireless customer, your account has been suspended.  For verification to reactivate your account, press one.  To be transferred over to a representative press two".  I know that our service is not deactivated.  Someone is trying to get your login ID, password, code, etc so THEY CAN HIJACK YOUR PHONE NUMBER.   See this article:  https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/columnist ... heft/102787432/      So many crooks out there, very sad.

I have been receiving these calls for several months. I reported it to AT&T, I have reported it to the FCC, The FTC, the US Attorney General, and our State Attorney General. They will not do anything about it.

They called 3 times and first two i did not answer. but they leave no messages. 3rd time i answered and automated robot  answered with terrible connection asking to verify a Verizon account information and if not verified account will be canceled, Problem with this i have no Verizon account nor do business with Verizon. To me it looks like a scam to collect information.

Received call from 800-288-2020 & they were inquiring about my computer.  Said they were with AT&T & they had been receiving error messages from U-Verse because of my computer.  ALWAYS a [***] that places these calls.  I have received calls from this number before & they have a foreign accent!

This is a scammer with ATT 2020 last number. They tell you about a great offer but need so much money down. But give you a 2 hour window when they will be there.  Watch out it is a SCAM!

Call from 800-288-2020. Said I could cut my Direct TV bill in half.  Direct TV is owned by AT&T.  All I had to do was pay the 1st five months ahead.  To pay I had to buy E-Bay cards and give them the numbers.  So AT&T will now accept E-Bay cards as payment.  Yea, right.

Received call from 800 288 2020 and the caller asked if I was Colin and I said no. After hanging up I called AT&T and they told me no one AT&T called me.

Just got a called that my services was suspended. Immediately hung up on them without pressing anything. Then contacted ATT chat and the live agent told me that they didn’t call me, that it is a scam.

I called the number and the legitimate person from AT&T informed me that this number is a hotline, and that they do NOT make outgoing calls from that number.  In other words, it was a spoofed number.  Be careful people!  This was NOT AT&T calling.  Also, if you have service numbers stored in your phonebook as "AT&T", and you get a call from that number (spoofed), you will believe it's AT&T calling.  Been there, done that.  I learned that AT&T will NEVER make outgoing calls on the service number that you use to call in problems.  I blocked the number.

Well i didnt get a phone call i got a email from AT&T LA saying my internet bill was due funny how i paid it yesterday got my confirmation number like always so i called my local at&t will its A SCAM i will be going give them a copy of the email they do have a investigative team it probably wont help but the fellow people will get help not getting SCAMED IF U CHECK THINGS OUT LIKE ME ✍✍✍✔✔✔

Rec'd call from them showing AT&T,,don't know why they'd call me as I don't have  AT&T. I smell either a spoof or scam...I won't answer if I don't know them or have dealings with the company

The [***] are still using this same old tired scam -- with the same phone number!! I would guess that this is their only source of income since they have to be at the top of the "World's Most Stupid People" list and so would NEVER be able to hold down at real job!!!  On the flip side -- how sad that they actually get some people to believe the scam, only because those folks automatically assume that "it must be AT&T since the Caller-ID is AT&T"...…...

I got this call this morning very early. I get my att bill via messenger and pay it right away. Not to mention these people woke me up shortly after getting asleep. People do work and they need to stop the bs
