This number is connected to this number also 972-280-7286, it has something to do with someone in jail. I don't know anyone in jail! I guess they try to charge calls to ur phone, don't know but I reported it to police and they have it on record!

I keep getting calls from same number 800-483-8324.
This is the third attempt for me. I answer it because I do not memorize the number thinking it might be from a ligate business matter.

These calls are from someone you know in jail.

I got a call it said something is wrong with my account I called the 877 number I want to know if I have the problem fixed

There are multiple ways to block calls from inmates as needed. Any incoming call can be refused at any time by either hanging up or pressing "1" when prompted. The call will be disconnected and the inmate will be informed their call was not accepted.

Any incoming call can be blocked permanently from a correctional facility by pressing "6" when prompted. You will be asked to provide a 4 digit personal identification number (PIN) to confirm the block. This PIN will be required to remove the block in the future if needed.

You can also call the GTL customer service department at 800-483-8314 and they will be able to help block future calls from a facility. If you are being physically threatened, you should contact your local law enforcement agency to obtain a Personal Protection Order.

If you are receiving unwanted correspondence or telephone calls from an inmate, you should contact the Superintendent at the facility where the inmate is currently being housed. A written correspondence and/or telephone restriction may be placed on the inmate after a fair and impartial review of your request. We will make every effort to restrict contact from the inmate after your request is approved. However, if you should receive any contact after the restriction, please contact the Superintendent at the facility where the inmate is being housed.

If you are being threatened by an Indiana inmate, you should contact the Superintendent at the facility where the inmate is currently being housed. Our office will also forward your e-mail concerns to the Parole Board, Crime Victims Notification, and the Superintendent.

They started to call my cell phone last weekend. it starts with something about county jail ... I have no relatives (nor close friends) in the US so there is no reason for anyone in an US jail to contact me. Obviously it is a scam. I just hang on them but it appears that they will keep calling. My number is in the DO NOT call list registry, state and nationwide.

lI recieved this phone call but before i Answer any call i dont recognized i check who it may be on google,This is a GLOBAL TEL LINK number but the thing is my Ex Husband is currently in a ORANGE COUNTY CENTRAL JAIL COMPLEX  Santa Ana California and we still Communicate but when he calls his number is a (713) 981-0098 (Global tel link) but he always says his name when i recieve his phone call now i do not know who or why this 1-800 number is calling i do not know if my ex husband has been Transferred to a Different Facility since i didnt recieve his call yesterday and now im thinking it may be him (Just going to wait for his letter or phone call of mother n law).I Did Not get a Voice Mail to know what Facility it may  be coming from.

I got a call today I have no idea who it is I don't know anyone in jail and I'm really not about to give my credit card number to any one .... This company needs shut down now!!

Got a call earlier today, and a similar one from a different number late last night. Do not answer by any means. Whether it is a scam or from a jail, it's obviously negative in nature and should be avoided at all costs.

Same as other posts. GlobalTel provides a service for prison inmates to make collect calls.

Someone seems to be running a scam to get unsuspecting individuals to accept phone calls so they your number to make their calls.

Call your local.city, county jail, or state penitentiary to complain if the unwanted calls persist.

i have  received two calls  from  this # 1-3-2014 and  again  1-5-2014...when  I answered  the call 1-5-2014 got a recorded message   stating it  was from  doc (corrections facility) wanting to  set   up a billing  account??? I don't know who  or where it  was from....if  this  is  a scam it  is  a horrible  way  to  make money from innocent individuals!!  if it  is   legit  then we should be told who!! the inmate is   ....

I have received repeated calls from 800-483-8314.  Not exactly sure what they are trying to accomplish because I don't answer them.  I have googled the number and apparently people say that it wants me to call and set up an account to charge collect calls to????  Doesn't make any sense to me.  Besides not answering what else can I do to stop these?
