While I'm well aware of who this is SUPPOSED to be from, I've received 2 phone calls in the last few days from 2 different county jails. Both were from people I've never heard of. The fact that I get a follow up call asking me to pay for this makes me even more suspicious. Perhaps inmates have found a way to get their phone charges paid by someone else?

I got a stupid call for this number saying a prisoner was trying to contact me.  BS....This is a scam.  The number that later called me back was this one. It said is this your number and do you want to be billed?  Are the freaking kidding?

Me too. Got the stupid collect call and it was disconnected then they called me again with this 800 and said a prisoner is trying to get in touch with me from Houston, Tex...seriously a case where the cell phone companies need to flag these calls as fraud.

I have been receiving calls from correctional facility in Houston, TX I do not know anyone in this facility I do not wish to hear from these inmates I don’t know how they got my phone number. But even calling the number to try to get them to stop it they just tell you to push the number to block the call.

I too keep getting these anoying calls about inmates I dont know anyone locked up at the moment! Is this sixnines new gig ?! Smh Stoopid !!

Received several calls from thus number.  Message said it was concerning a collect call from a correction facility.  They gave directions on how to allow charges to be made.  I know no convicts and feel freaked out about what someone is trying to do!

Keeps calling collect

8004838314 called 2 times within minutes and message was to set up a Credit Card payment account to receive collect  calls; or go to connect network.com.  I do not want to set up a payment plan. this is a scam.

I do have someone in prison and when I put money on my phone so they can call it's not taking it and I have lost $30.00 for nothing. Who can I talk to? Because I always call 800-483-8314 to put the money on my phone so my loved one can call me, but my money is not going for the calls. I need to speak to someone.

Continues to call and leave an odd message stating an inmate is trying to reach me - however, if does not give the name of the correctional facility, or an inmate name/number. To my knowledge, I don’t know anyone incarcerated, so this call is highly suspicious.

Got 2 calls from different #'s leaving messages saying it was from a person in jail. No one I know is in jail. Blocked & deleted. Scammers!!!!.

Message said it's a Collect call from a jail? If it's true  Can I  get the inmates name location  and why they called me?
