- Larry replies to lazygirlThanks for your information. I called this number and using the SSN you gave me, I were able to speak to a person and it is Bank of America Mortage collector, I have no business with them. They gave me their customer service phone 800-669-6607 to remove our phone from their litst. Thanks for your tip.
- DebbieReceive calls from this number several times a day. They never leave a message asking for
a particular person or leave their name. They never mention an account number or file number.
I do have a mortgage, but it is paid on time every month without fail. I have it programmed
into my bank account. I check my statement every month, it always shows my account
current and no late charges--ever. Hence, nobody should be calling me about a mortgage or any other
account. If the caller will not leave a name, phone number, account number and some
info., I am not calling them back. I am also on the DO Not Call Registry. I don't think
this does a bit of good.
Too many scams going on. I wouldn't give anyone my SS# or any other info. No message,
no tel. number to call you back, then I am not going to worry about it for a second.- Caller: Loan Counseling or Unavailable
- KeraThey have been constantly calling my cell for the last week. Thankfully only once a day.
However, I call them back each and everytime.
I just called them back and asked for a manager or supervisor. The supervisor did not see my cell number on their 'records'. I told them that if they call me one more time, I will be pressing charges.
The lady then hung up on me.
Just keep calling them and using fake information. Maybe then they will get the point.- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- RobThey said they were from Bank of America. BofA said all my accounts were current and this was a scam.
- Caller: Bankl of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- Sashahow did they get my phone number?
- KJGot my first call from 800-669-0102 today. I answered it and it was an automated message that said they were with Bank of America. I do have a Countrywide mortgage that was bought out by BOA but I'm current on it. I called the number back but received an automated message that it was for debt collection. I couldn't speak to a live person without entering an account number or SS number. I WILL not give that information out just to speak to someone without knowing the reason for the call.

- NuterI had these stupid calls for almost whole week, I didn't pick up and voice message was never left.
Finally after I checked few forums related with this number I decided to pick up.
Lady with strong accent wanted to confirm my name and then last name. Then I was asked for my SS# and I asked why she need it, she said because it's required to process this call.
Then I asked what's this call about and I was told that this is about my mortgage and this call is from bank of america. I asked what that call has to do with my mortgage and I heard that I need to give tell them my SS# in order to hear why they called me. I refused to give my SS and asked to remove my number from their phone list and to not call me again. Then I heard 'ok, have a nice day'.
I haven't received any call from this number since them.
I'm almost 100% this is some kind of scam.
Do not tell your SS# or even its last 4 digits when you get that kind of call.
Nobody should have a reason to call you and ask about your SS# anyway.- Caller: Bank of America?
- KiraThe caller ID comes up as Loan Counseling. When I call the number back it says it BAC Home Loan Servicing LP - a debt collector. I do not have any past due loans, so I do not know why they are calling. They are also calling my work number, not my home number, on a Sunday afternoon (and they wonder why I'm not there to answer it).
According to Dana on 12/12/07, this number is for Katrina victims - I am not victim of Katrina, nor do I live in a disaster area.- Caller: BAC Home Loan Servicing
- Call type: Debt collector
- david lawlessrepeated calls from this number. I want to destroy the owner of this phone. I called it back and they ask me for a social security number. What a scam
- Caller: bca
- tammythe 800-669-0102 has been calling daily. I am a countrywide/boa loan holder but I'm on a repayment plan. they called @8:41pm tx time today and 8:25pm yesterday. i know what's going on w/ my account, it's even being auto debited. so i don't bother picking up.
i thought companies couldn't call after a certain time, but that and the do not call list are totally useless. they don't even leave messages. I hate debt collectors, it's not like they make people pay any more quickly. most ppl have caller id and just ignore them. - FrankI also got the same messaga i dont own a home....3 times i got the phone call?
- Caller: (BAC home loans Servising)
- Call type: Debt collector
- n/a replies to Annoyedfyi, you can speak to someone, just by entering 123456789 as loan/account #, and SS# as 123456789, and zip code as 12345, i was able to reach a person this way. when asked if information was correct, even though it couldn't be found, i was transferred to someone.
- CopperI was called twice today by this number and they started right off wanting my SSN. Well I'm not stupid and just because someone asks for my SSN over the phone doesn't mean I'm going to give it. They said they understood and asked me to call them back at this number. They told me it was a Bank of America number. Well still not to sure about it I searched it out on the web and found this site and from what everyone else has been saying it belongs to Countrywide and not B of A. I then called B of A (with whom my morg. is through) and after talking with them I found out that B of A now owns Countrywide. I hope this helps any of you out.
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- TomI have been getting calls from this number constantly for the past few weeks in regards to a home loan I am in default on. When I told them I am not the person of the name they are looking for they just laugh and ask for my SS number. I am also under 25 and live at home. I need this to stop.
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- n/aThey've called me a few times, they never leave a message on VM. I finally answered today and the woman immediately asked for my social security number. I told her that I don't give that information over the phone. She claimed to be from Bank of America and was calling about my loan. I don't have any loans with B of A. I told her that I'd be in touch with my broker rather than speak to her over the phone. I immediately called B of A and confirmed that they would NEVER just call someone and demand a social security number.
- Caller: unknown (claimed to be Bank of America)
