I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER OR A SIMILAR ONE FROM THE SAME COMPANY, AND IT PLAYED BACK MY 'HELLO' WHEN i ANSWERED THE PHONE. THIS COMPANY TRIES TO GET YOUR VOICE RECOGNIZED AND YOUR INFORMATION WHEN YOU'RE NOT EVEN THE HOLDER OF THE LOAN. DO WE HAVE ANOTHER MURDEROUS SNEAK HERE WHO GETS PEOPLE MIXED UP WITH PEOPLE THEY WANT TO SNUFF?

Callt he police or internet crime center: I bet they'll try to make you repay it, ignore that it's paid, and try to put it on your credit report as a bad debt to try to make your react and pay it again, or fool you into thinking you never really paid it, or the money you sent never made it to them.

Get your receipts of payment to them ready. Make sure you can prove it's paid if they go further than only harass you by calls.

This caller is an identity thief: He or she will say they are BofA, Citibank, Countrywide, etc. They aren't. The first thing they'll try to get is all your ssn, drivers license, address, and name info. Don't give them any info. If you have, please report them to the internet crime center at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

This thief probably got into an online database and has customer account information, phone numbers, and is an organization trying to get other's people credit to pay for other's with bad credit.

    Or, worse: another terrorist organziation

We are receiving calls from 8006690102 almost daily, but at a time when I am usually away
from the phone.  Finally, I called that number today to find out why they were calling since
we do not have a loan, and all I could get was a pre-recorded message wanting my account
number, etc.  I kept demanding to speak with a representative and kept punching zero on the
phone dial which is usually how one gets across the message that one wants to speak with a
representative!  I got nowhere, so I hung up.  This is absolutely unbelievable!!!   My call had
been answered by a pre-recording as BAC Loan counseling.

In case you have not kept up with the "failing" banks and mortgage companies, Countrywide was bought out by Bank Of America.  BOA bought all of the mortgages from Countrywide.  You can google either one of them to get the poop.

Called about a bogus over-due mortgage.  DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION.  They asked for the last digits of SS# in order to talk.  SCAM!

    OPT OUT YOUR NUMBER
Opt your cell phone number out of search databases.

opt out your number from phone detective right here:
    http://www.phonedetective.com/PD.aspx?_act=OptOut

The above website allows people like these nutjobs at these 800 nubmers to run a search on your phone number. Also, make sure in your cell phone accounts that you put 'name confidential' for your name and either a p.0. box address or general delivery address. This way, even if a hack get's into your online cell phone account, he'll get all wrong info.

The cell phone companies will let you put name confidential and hide your info.

ALSO, DON'T LEAVE CREDIT CARD INFO IN YOUR CELL PHONE ACCOUNTS, OR IN ANY ACCOUNT. DON'T HAVE A CARD SELECTED TO STAY IN THE DATABASE.

Never call back the number and report them to the donotcall.gov registry.

They say you have a loan wlith them, and that the only way to check to see if it's yours is to get your information. This is an identity thief. This is a tactic of identity thieves. Don't call, don't give them the information, and don't answer the phones calls - hang up -- and file a complaint at donotcall.gov

maybe 800 knows how to filter calls too?
I almost had a car accident trying to get the phone, thinking it was a business prospect. I'm not getting no business calls anymore, but only calls from this 800 jerk and other's that are telemarketers. I think some of these organizations know how to set up your phone number so it's blocked from being called from numbers. I have people telling me thay can't get through, and the only ones who get through are these 800 ID theives, and telemarketers. I'm a little concerned.

I am still being pestered by this number, 800-669-0102. Now, it calls only when I'm already on the phone, when I cannot come to the phone, and especially, when I'm calling my bank. I believe this number is an identity thief phishing with it. It calls when I call SSA, my bank, and only at these times.

Calls all the time!! When I answer, it directs me to call Bank of America regarding a home loan, when I don't answer, it doesn't leave a message. It wont stop calling me!!!!!!!! It has to be telemarketing.

I have received multiple calls on my cell phone from these people a day and I have never had any contact with Countrywide Home Loans before, and I do not know how they got my number.  They do not identify themselves when they call and ask for two people who I have never met before.  They do not leave messages and refuse to stop calling me when I tell them that they have the wrong number.  I have my name on the "do not call" list and have contacted the FTC.  They don't have an address, phone number, or email that I can find.  I'm beginning to wonder if this is even a legitimate company.

I have no idea who this is. They call the office phone (central number for our office of 5, I know it isn't for me, as I do not have any loans/credit cards) and say "Please hold. Please hold." A few seconds later: "I have a very important message for you, please hold one moment." Then the machine hangs up.

    Guess it wasn't that important.
