They have called 5 times in the last week saying they are from Bank of America, there is an issue on our home loan and they need the last 4 digits of my social security number.  I refused to give them anything, called Bank of America, and there is NO issue with our home loan, and they did not call us.  This is a fraudulent number group; do not give them any information!  Report them to your phone company (get a block on the number) and to your bank.

I get several calls a day from this number. Last Saturday my husband answered the phone and they told him "for verification purposes, what is your social security number?" My husband did not give it, and asked them what this was about. The man told him "I'll be the one to ask questions" At which point my husband proceeded to cuss him out!!!  I called the number bank and was told it was Bank of America in an attempt to collect a debt. Hmmm thats funny.  My mortgage was originally with Taylor Bean and was sold to BofA without my knowledge.....last august (2009) and my payments have NEVER been late. The more I spoke to the "supervisor" the madder I got with his attitude and by the end of the call I was screaming at him to never call my house again. However, we still receive calls several times a day!!!  What can we do to make these calls stop!  Now they have started calling out cell phones as well. Oh and just a side note.....if you are calling from Bank of AMERICA dont you think you should be able to atleast speak understandable english!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no accounts with Bank of America, not even a savings account, but I received numerous calls from this number.  I hope this information helps all of you stop the calls.

Received 15 calls from this number in three weeks on my cell phone which is registered annually on the National DO-NOT-CALL List looking for Joseph Dunham, who I am not.  4 of these times, I was nearby the phone and able to answer, and I told the calling representative I am not that person, do not know that person, this has been my number for 3 years and to remove my phone number immediately.  The last time they called, I was able to answer for the 5th time, and instead of a humanoid, I was greeted by a recorded voice menu with a salesman-type voice.  Without entering an account number or SSN/Zip Code, it told me to hang on while they transferred my call to a real person to update their list.  After 60 secs, the call was dropped - they hung up.

I was furious, so I called this number back with an idea.  I entered an obviously fake SSN and Zip Code, but the system put me through to a person.  The representative with a middle-eastern accent asked for my account number.  I explained the situation to him, so he asked for my Name and Phone Number to remove me from the list.  I refused to give him my name, so he refused to help me.  I got irate and demanded a manager.  He patched me through to Christina (also had a middle-eastern accent) verified the situation, and I explained that I would not give them any information beyond the phone number to be removed from the list and the reasons for that (scams, and my name is not their business.)  She promised my number would be removed promptly and that I would not receive another call.  I asked who I would contact if I did receive another call, and she gave me a fax number...really?  No humanoids?  I promised her that if I received another call, her company would be hearing from the FTC, FCC, BBB, my local Attorney General, and my personal Attorney, and it would be far from pleasant.

After two weeks, I have not received one call from them.

I have been getting calls from this number about 10 times a day from early until late in the day.  I have a new baby and the phone keeps waking her.  They are calling for someone I have never heard of and don't seem to believe that I have never heard of this man.  I have been asking repeatedly from them to stop calling, they are really annoying.

I keep getting calls from this number for my Dad who died two years ago.  My Dad has never lived with us or used our phone number for anything.  The only way they could have found out who I am is from the public records of his estate.  But when I told them again today that he is dead, the name of the lawyer that handled the estate and to not call back, they had the nerve to ask if my father's death was noted in their records.  I will admit I lost my cool and yelled at the woman and told her that after the 10th time I told them all the information it wasn't my job to update their records also.  The anniversary of my Dad's death is coming up this month and Bank of America Home Loans is making it harder.

05/15/10 Just got a call asking for my wife (I heard a "click" prior to the caller speaking - auto dialer?) I said she wasn't here, who's asking? So and So from Bank of America then asks for my name. I answered this is me. He then ask for my SSN to verify. I told him no and he provided the 800 669 0102 number to call at my convenience.

I got a call from that number today and they wanted me to verify my ss# OVER THE PHONE. I said, "no" and they asked if I would call them. I took their number but did not call back!!! They were not listed on white pages. Usually a business would NOT be unlisted.

I'm at work and have received 4 calls from them on my cell phone in the past 3 1/2 hours!  I can only use my cell for emergencies at work.  I'm having to block the number to keep my job in fear of someone believing I'm using my cell.  This is crazy!

I have been receiving phone calls day and night at all hours, sometimes 3 to 4 times a day.  Saying they are a collection agency, then they say they are Bank of America Home Loans and need my account #, if I don't have that they will take the SS# and area code of the person on the loan.  I have never had an account with BOA and I positively will not give out any SS# for obviously fraulent reasons.  This needs to be stopped !!!

Has called me consistently 3 time a day. the receptionist says, that in order not to be called, i have to give an account number for the loan or my social security numbers. SHe insists on account number. But, guess what? I never even had a loan with this company and it insists I owe a home mortgage loan. I'm asked to give out all my personal information.

    Scam here, what is it?

I think this company wants to try to put written off loan accounts onto others credit reports and mix it up so it's customers or clients have a cleaner report. It tries to shrug off owed loans onto people who don't owe them, so bring up a higher amount of debt owed to them to report and use for tax purposes.

Anyone else have any other ideas as to how this scam from this number works and why? Please reply with your imput.

Please report this number to the internet crime center, police, or www.ftc.gov

I once reported a number like this to the internet crime report center as an anonymous complainant, and the calls stopped:

Here is where I just went for this number complained about in these postings. I'm sure it is a scam home loan mortgage company that is trying to get either people's information for identity theft, investigation, or some other fraud or intrusion, OR, they are trying to tack written off loans that haven't been paid onto people who don't really owe them as a way to get an IRS deduction or gratuity of some type. This company does not care who really owes on the loan.:
