- RachelThis number called 17times in past 3days. Rep says they are Bank of America stating they are calling about a non-existent overdue account. Rep asks for your social security number. Nobody here is an idiot and we won't give that information. If it was a real account that was held, they would already have this information.

- Kim replies to luggnuttI get calls from the 800 number also..they have been calling me @ least every hr. You try to get through to them to talk & they won't talk unless you have an account number I don't answer it any more but I am really getting tired of them calling me from 8 in the morning till 9 @ night this is crazy since I never have had any loans with them..Why can they call and harrass when I have nothitng to do with them & why do they get away with this?
- wokenupOk, it's probably that CW broke into the data base and thinks they're going to steal all the loans; paid or not paid. Then they retrieve tax records somehow to pose as some agents. When I asked this number what bank they were from, they didn't want to say. I asked 3 times. Are these rich kids that got hold of their parents work records? Thugs! We need the police big time.
- Caller: not sure

- FrenchI keep getting phone calls from 800-669-0102. When I answer, the say it is in regard to my home loan and want the last 4 digits of my social security number. When I refuse they ask me to cal them back. They never a message if I don't answer. A partial message was left and cut off in mid word. They will call up to 4 times an hour.
I called the number and was asked by a machine for my account number.
I am finding this a very scary experience. It is beginning to work on my psyche and I understand will people eventually give up and give them everything.
I contacted the "do not call" list to complain. That was over the holidays.- Caller: Loan Counseling

- JayInvariably some no-name defender of BofA/Countrywide's constant calls will read comments such as mine and submit a non-disguisable comment revealing the defender's background. Until then, let's see: The 1-800-669-0102 calls are billed to BofA/Countrywide at local rates instead of as long-distance calls. If Stacy calls from the U.S., then it's a 2c/min rate. If a person or robocaller in India calls, then it's something like a 1 rupee/min rate. Stacy and the Indian call centers will continue to call persons non-stop, as others continue to report here and at 800notes.com and at everycall.us and at whocalled.us. These calls may or may NOT be returned. Simple mathematics tells us that the aggressive 25 calls/week average will be costing BofA/Countrywide a mere 50cents or 25rupees per week. This comes out to $2 or 100 rupees per month, and then $24 or 1200 rupees per year, albeit still a trivial amount. On the other hand, multiply this yearly figure by the number of persons targeted by these calls, then add possible additional costs (legal?) levied against BofA/Countrywide, and eventually the constant [non-returned] calls from this 1-800 number will slowly start to cost BofA/Countrywide a SIGNIFICANT amount of change.
To that no-name defender responding to the comments here, go ahead and feed these figures back to your BofA/Countrywide bosses before you or they spin these away :)- Caller: BofA/Countrywide

- Jim from VACalls constantly. Don't know how they got my number. We do not deal with BoA or Countrywide with our home mortgage. They have my name but the other person on the so-called mortgage is not my wife. My last four of social do not match their record. Am told to call 8006690201 to straighten out and can't get past machine that asks for acct # that I do not have. Ignoring from now on.

- gothceltgirlI receive calls from them on a daily basis as well. The first times they called, they mangled the name so badly that I assumed it was me. (I have an unusual name) But then when others began calling and were able to ask for someone more clearly. They were asking for my ex-husband. I have told them numerous times that he doesn't live here. I am divorced. That number shows up on my Caller ID as "Loan Counseling" and they claim to be calling from Bank of America. Being fed up, I contacted Bank of America and they informed me that they've recieved many complaints about this. It must be some nationwide scam claiming to be from various mortgage loan companies. BofA told me to ignore them and not to give them any information. But it's really difficult when they keep disrupting your life. I especially feel for the person above who can't turn their phone off. I concur with everything you've said. I have tried to make a complaint with the FCC but no dice. Since they fall into the category of debt collection it doesn't get their attention. Hopefully since this forum exists there will be some more attention paid and something will get done. I plan to fight this and I will find someone with whom I can make a complaint.

- Amy RichardsBank of America called my home land line twice today, Jan 15th, a Saturday. I refused twice to give them the last 4 digits of my Social (imagine that!). The gal who called me the last time said I had to send them a letter to stop the calls permanently. I told her in no uncertain terms that they needed to note my number was never to be called, and I told her i was aware of scams related to parties posing as BofA, and if BofA had something important to let me know about they always send me a letter. Hopefully this stops the calls but it probably won't.

- HeidiMy husband is a mortgage broker, lol!!! How dumb is their research department at Countrywide... However, since our taxes in our county that we live is open to the public, this is how they are getting our names and home numbers... Just put hem on the reject list on your cell phone and they can't call you... As for the home number everytime they call you, your phone company needs to be reported to... Enough calls and they will be fined, especially if you have said cease and desist to them.... Hope all helps....
