This number has been calling at least three times a day and sometimes as many as six.  They never leave a message.  The caller id says it is a "loan counselor".  Today when they called the person said he was from Bank of America and wanted to talk to me about my delinquent home loan.  He then said he was a debt collector and anything said during the call could be used top collect on the debt.  He asked for me by name.  I told him that my mortgage was current.  He then claimed he was calling to assist me with a refi.  I told him not to call again since I did not believe him.  The caller id did not match his claim, he had already told me he was a debt collector and I do not take cold calls of this nature seriously as I have no way to verify who they are.  I told him to send me a letter on B of A letterhead.  Want to make a bet about whether I ever receive one?

Since I refinanced about two months ago, I got a call from this number wanting information about my home loan. They give me no information about who they are, and now they keep calling 3-4 times a day.

This number has called me at least 6x a day for the past few days. They want me to verify my SSN and address on the phone before telling me what is going on. I told them I'll contact Bank of America through their published numbers on the website. Bank of America said it was a legitimate call and it was their debt collection agency. I forgot to pay my mortgage that month. Oops. I paid right away but the calls haven't stopped. I am leery about giving out personal information over the phone since you can't be sure if they are who they say they are.

These people have been calling for about a month now, asking for someone we do not know.  We have told them we do not know the person.  I have asked them not to call at least six times and I have reported them to Do Not Call.

I do not know how to put "Call Block" or I would certainly do it,  as they start calling around 8 a.m. and call at least 6 to 8 times a day.

    I want it stopped.!!!!!

Just got 2 calls today from this number 800-669-0102 which belong to Bank of America. They have been calling me for over 3 months now. I have called them and told them to remove my number from their calling list but they still calling me every single day. From now on I will file a complaint each time they call at "National Do Not Call Registry" https://www.donotcall.gov/

I recommend everybody to file a complaint every time they call. If enough people do it, the government will take action against them and hopefully they will stop.

I get a call of them (Bank of America) as it turns out, about once a day.  They never leave a message so I called them back, but you can't seem to talk to a live person unless you enter a ss #, which I'm not going to do.  The recording does state that it's a debt collector, which makes no sense since I'm not late on my mortgage and never have been?  The recording doesn't give you a live person or the option to talk to a live person unless you enter you ss, so I guess we're at a stand still.

I'm in the same boat you are, have a B of A account that originated from Countrywide, but I've never been late on a mortgage payment and I actually pay ahead, so not sure why a bill collector would be calling.  I called the number back but without willing to enter a social security number, the recording won't connect you to a person.  Oh well, guess they'll figure it out sooner or later that if you want someone to call you back or talk to you, you need to give them a way to do so WITHOUT a social.

Yep same here - no account with Countrywide/BoA.  Just got a Digitone call blocker machine for $100 bucks that works great.  Can put up to 80 numbers in to block and the phone never rings - just hangs up on them.  Nice and cheaper than paying a monthly fee for call block service from the phone company.  Would get 5-7 calls a day - no more.

Of the 15-20 people on this site, if EVERYONE OF YOU REPORTS IT to the folks at DONOTCALL.gov (providing, of course, that all of you are like me...ON the DNC list), they will investigate, and for every call they make to a # on the Do Not Call List, it's an $11,000 FINE PER CALL to whomever owns that line. SO ALL OF Y'ALL, QUIT COMPLAINING and do something about it!

I just got a call from these yahoos.  I called back the number and got a nice sounding young woman with an accent from India.  I said, "Before I begin, I must inform you that this call may be monitored for quality assurance and is being recorded."

    *silence*

Then I continued, "I am informing you that you have called a place of business. You are hereby required to remove our number, <our number>, from your data base immediately. If you persist in calling our place of business, you will be in violation of the 1991 Telephone Consumer Protection Act and will face possible litigation from our firm."

    *more silence*

Me:  "Did you hear what I just said?"

"Yes Ma'am.  But I cannot assist you any further unless you turn off your recording device."

"This call is proof you have received a formal request to remove us from your records.  If you do not and call us again, we WILL take you to court."

    *click*

    Really...it was a thing of beauty.  :D
