    thanks for all the GREAT comments on this phone number.  They call me at least once a day on my cell and I call them back from a landline and it is the home retention group.  I have never ever gone any further than that-I just always hang up.  They never leave messages either.  Now, in anyone's case, if your house is in jeopardy of being on foreclosure, why wouldn't the "home retention team" leave you a message and tell you legitimately why they are calling, give you a call back number and so on? I agree with all other posts on here-scam!!! I now have them listed on my cell phone under home retention team and know not to answer it!  Thank you all for you valuable input!!!!

    They are trying to collect their monies but i keep ignoring the calls. I don't have money to pay them and refuse to talk to them right now. I will call them when i receive a foreclosure letter. I am tire of owning a home and dealing with all mortgage banks. They give you low interest but set high payments even if you have good or bad credit or make good money or night.

    Ha! At least you don't have a mexican last name, I get all of these calls on my cell in spanish and I don't speak a lick of it. Whatever scam/spam this may be, they've gone multi-national.

    1-800-669-0102 called me 7 times Saturday, 9 times Sunday, 16 times Monday, and so far today 23 times! What do they want anyway? I have lived in an apartment for the last 8 years!

    We have an account with CW and are current. They keep calling us to try to get us to refinance. However, we have a VA loan thrugh them with a rock bottom fixed rate. I think they want us to do something stupid and give up our rate!

    They call me at least 10 times a day and I am tired of it, I pay my mortgage there should be no reason why I get this phone call reminding me everyday about it.

    These people call my house 5 - 10 times a day. We have a mortgage with Country Wide, but have never been late on our payment.

    Who ever this is has called at least once a day for weeks. Always leaves a message, the first part of which is cut off so I don't know who's calling. The message is utterly useless, something about hours I can call. Don't know who; don't know why. Extremely irritating.

    Obviously these people have no shame. A few days when they called 3 times before 10 AM I finally answered. They were looking for a man with an Hispanic name that I'd never heard of. I told them NEVER to call the number again and the person I talked to agreed, but they haven't stopped yet.

    BTW, the messages they leave are incomprehensible. a list of times you can call but not who or what number. When someone answered they didn't explain who was calling either.

    They started calling me today; got 7-9 calls. Called them back when I got home and gave a dummy number and go to a representative. Once she started soliciting  for more information I mentioned that my account was a dummy and that she ought to start filling out the paper work for a dummy account instead of badgering me for my social security number; once she was frustrated I mentioned that they had been calling me on a wireless number, which is illegal under FCC regulations, and then mentioned a semi-related law in the US Code; after asking her twice to speak to her manager/supervisor she caved and asked for the number and "apparently" took me off their list.

    Can only hope she did.

    Just purchased a cell phone for my 90 YEAR OLD mom and am teaching her to use it.  These rat b------s have been calling her phone over and over and over.  She has no mortgages and never was connected with these louses.  I thank all of you for your suggestions and numbers which I will try again come Monday.  We are with Verizon and someone in their offices said there is apparently something coming up in their services which may allow us to block numbers (please God).  This may happen in the next week or so (for those of you that have Verizon).  There is a way to block your numbers when you call EXCEPT for 800 numbers.  This occurred to me after I had tried to call more than once with my home phone (now I hold my breath and hope they didn't retain my number!!)

    We have a mortgage with countrywide and are on a repayment plan, after they had promised that we could skip two house payments and they would put it on the end of our mortgage due to my husband being laid off. Well a month after we made the arrangment they call saying they will foreclose because we are behind. They said the arrangmenet was never approved. Needless to say we are paying a payment and a half to keep up, and they told us until we are current on our loan we'll receive numerous calls daily. I just laughed. I am still in the process of filing a complaint due to them lieing to us about an agreement that was made on the phone. They say they record all phone calls, so they better find where they agreed to move two payments to the end of our mortgage!

    Totally Ticked Off
    I just got four calls in seven minutes from this 1-800-669-0102 number.  I, too, believe they are identity thieves.  I do have a Countrywide loan, not overdue, never been overdue.  I want it stopped.  Unfortunately a lot of people will give them the information they want.  They first want to confirm they are speaking with, and they give the names on the loan -- well, my husband died a year ago, but is still listed.  I am not even going to confirm that much.  They think I'm a total idiot -- they had three more people call.  Too bad someone can't stop this!

    I thought that if you request to be on a "do not call list" you can take "Company" to court if they call again.  These calls are really tick'n me off!  When you call me & I am in bed (late at night), you WILL get an ear full, so we'll see if they call again...  Been married to sailor for many years and have the mouth of one now!

    After a little research....
    Call their Customer Service number 1-800-556-9568, push 2 for new customer, then push 1 for line of credit and the person who answers is able to take you off their call list and give you a transaction number for future reference. It takes 24 to 48 hours, so be patient, but if it doesn't work , call back and request removal again and again. If their call center gets innundated with these calls perhaps they will change their telemarketing ways.....one can hope.

    THEY DON'T STOP!
    After telling them not to ever call again (called late @ night) they called again!  This time, I kept asking who the lady was with, she kept telling me, "CountryWide" but also told me that she was "hired" by CountryWide.  I then asked her who "Home Retention Team" was and she stumbled with her reply.  We no longer have CountryWide and when she asked if I was, (gave my husband's name) I told her, "SURE" she then went thru her information and wanted me to make a payment over the phone as my husband.  I sure don't sound like a dude!  Her name at "Home Retention Team" is "Jane".  MAKE SURE YOU NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!

    i've been getting phone calls on my cellphone from this number everyday and it is very annoying.  i tried calling up the number but it is like a dead end, i cannot speak with a representative.

    I have been getting calls from this number at least once a day! I answer and no one is there just please hold and then hanging up, like everyone else I can't get to a real person to find anything out. That is how I ended up on this website trying to find answers. I hope I can get them to stop sometime really annoying. Plus it wastes my cell phone minutes.
