They called saying they were from BOA (previously countrywide) and that I was behind on my HELOC.  I am current.  I told them thank you for the courtesy call.

:O a person with an input
They've called me several times in a day or a few times a week. The first time I was called a Hispanic man was on and asked to speak to this person who im not even aware existed at the time. I told them "No" and they hung up. A few days later that same number called. I didn't answer because I now have the number blocked. When I listened to the "voicemail" they left it was from some bank telling me that I was late for a payment or that I needed to pay one. I don't even own a credit much less a debit card... I just think the whole thing is stupid!

It is Saturday morning - 8:30AM.  My phone rings,  It is an 800 number.  I answer and then immediately hang up.  I will mention at this time that a) I am on the DO NOT CALL list, b) I am paying good money to my worthless phone company (Cavalier) for telemarketer blocking and c) I have a useless piece of crap called a "Telezapper" which is supposed to prevent these kinds of calls.  Since they have already woke me up, I call them back.  Their machine  says they are a debt collector and that they are a "mortgage retention center" - whatever that is...  They want my account number and/or my SSN.  My Countrywide mortgage was sold to Bank of America about a month ago.  Obviously, one hand does not know what the other is doing if they're calling to say my payment is late.  I was unable to talk to anyone because I refused to give them the info they wanted.  Isn't it illegal to call someone before 9:00AM - especially on a Saturday?

This number calls at least 25-30 times a day regardless if you talk to them. Calls start at 7:58am and ends at 8:03pm. It's harrassment especially since my husband is at home with Stage IV advanced colon cancer. He can not get any rest. We cant turn the phone off because of daily check in times on his health.

Called my cell number, which is registered with the NO Call List.  I had paid them off during a refinance, but still they want to talk to me about my account.  What account?

Before you received the calls, had you just requested to see YOUR OWN credit report?
I started to receive these calls after I requested mine.
I believe that theses txrds got my number from Equifax, Experian or Transunion, and that they are calling for a refinance deal.
The system asks for a SS# or AC#, don't give your SS#, just enter a bogus one. This will get you to a rep. Don't hesitate to abuse the hell out of them, if you work with such an unethical company, you deserve it.

I have told them to stop calling. They are on the brink of harassment.
Caller is located in India!! Isn't there some kind of law that we can cite to make them stop?

Repeted calls from Countrywide (BofA) with no message. I switched my phone service to a VOIP service (viatalk.com) and now block unwanted and wrong numbers. I also block other annoying sales calls.

Loan retention or bill collector.  Do not answer this call.  Totally automated and totally annoying.  I called the number back several times and get caught in the endless loop of baloney.  Do not do business with Bank of America or Countrywide until they stop the pain.  Besides we bailed them out.  Do business with a bank that did not have to have bailout money.

Considering Countrywide stopped existing months ago, I find it hard to believe they are calling from beyond the grave.
Countrywide got acquired by Bank of America some time ago.
I'm going to call Bank of America and let them know someone is trying to steal this information from their account holders.
