Received a VM from this number. "Specialist McKnight" stated that my legal counsel needed to contact him today about a "matter". If not. they would be forced to take adverse actions that would affect  me. He never stated the company he represented or the "matter" he was referring to.

I got a message from them they called from a private number then threatened me that they need to speak to my attorney or I better call her today. She sounds like Lily Tomlin . ring a ring ring ring skit. Thank you for this website. So they are bluffing?

I get a call this morning from Specialist Upto...
I quote "please call us or an attorney that is representing you in regards to an issue, if you chose not to return my call, you give me no choice but to make a decision that will directly effect you...call me back at 800-695-7444 ext....."

They called me late as hell tonight saying I should have a attorney who is representing me call them or they will be forced to recommend someone to make further action and that if I don't call immediately than those actions will be mad, it's really freaking me out and I want to kno who the hell is threatening me !

Called from private number saying they were specialist peppers and to call him back with the name of an attorney representing me. Left an extension number. Definitely from comenity bank.. not calling them back.

I am a college student and I had a credit card yes. I got a call from this number and I was scared out of my mind. Thanks to this site tho, I became less scared.

"calling on an important matter of yours that is being reviewed for further action here in my office that may directly affect you, it's important to return my call immediately...blah, blah,blah...I will be in my office until 5:00..."
The call came up as restricted on my cell phone but he left the 800 call back number with an eight digit extension number. Who has an 8 digit extension number??? I think he was a newbie, it sounded like he was reading from a script and a few hesitations.
The information is very vague, clearly a spam call of sorts.
I would mention that all of my bills are paid on time and my credit score is in good standing.
Don't let 'em intimidate you into a call back with their demanding tactics, they don't leave enough information to justify a call back.

Navient is a real, true company. They are for student loans. If they are calling you, then you DO owe money. They work with Sallie Mae student loans. I know this, because I pay my student loans through them. So they are not a scam. If they are asking you to pay, then your name IS on the loan.

I thought the same thing! I've gotten 2 calls, one last week, one today. No actual information, not even a last name. I figured it had to be false. 800 number and so vague.... Glad you thought so too!

I have a bill in collections, similar situation. When the collection agency calls, it's not an 800 number and they never leave details. They just say "This is a call for (your name), if you are not (your name), please hang up and share this message with (your name)." And then they just mention that you need to call them in regards to a past due account.

Dumbass ppl called my phone , some agent Lock, what the heck are these ppl trying to pull.

same deal - called work and cell phone demanding that I have representation call them. Stated that my account has been escalated and that if I know what's best, i'd call them back. How is this legal? The tone is outright set for intimidation! It's absurd!

Called to say there was a legal issue with Restoration Hardware. Found this thread associated with the 800 number. Called back and told them I am reporting them to the attorney general.

Specialist Murphy called said I needed a lawyer tto call or I needed to call regarding a situation bcc and if I didn't get this matter resolved she would have to make recommendation on my behalf to get the matter resolved. Never said what it was about

Got a message this morning on my home answering machine threatening if I didn't call back by 4pm when he left for the day they would take action. Also left same message on my brothers home phone, we have not lived together on 35+yeasr since we were kids. It is illegal to leave such messages 1) threatening action 2) leaving message on an answering machine that you do not know who the # belongs to.

Got a call on my cell during work hours from a Mr
Love  ex. 1227654 staying to have myself or my attorney contact him directly regarding  a matter that was given to his office. He never said what the matter is or where he was calling from. Then told me If I or my attorney does not respond to his call he will have to take action that will effect him directly. I call a scam most billers or collection agency call they always state the reason and where they are calling from.

I got the same message. Thank God no one in my family got it

Keep getting threatening calls from this number stating they need to hear from my attorney or they will "resolve this matter" without my input
