- Legit NumberI was skeptic and called. This is Legit -- Paypal used them as a fraud detection company. Caught some big fraud on my account.
- Cathy replies to suspiciousI have received various calls from this number. I tried calling back the first time but then got suspicious. The second time I knew it was a scam because it was a Sunday and may bank is completely closed on Sundays so there was no way i would be receiving a call fro them.

- CSLegit third party service. They SHOULD not ask you to provide anything more than the last 4 of your credit card. PNC didn't even require that. The man just asked for me to verify the last 4 purchases.
- Caller: Transaction Verification
- CSDouble checked with PNC. They confirmed the phone number. Everything checks out.
- intampa24 replies to scam watcherYou are so right on. Those are shill poster. Nobody takes the time to find a board to say "oh these guys are legit" they wouldn't even think of it. The only people googling the number are those who got burned. I got a call too and was put on hold. I didn't hang on long enough.
I was so fearful, I checked a number of my accounts and to my relief there was no problem but I'm staying vigilant.
By the way, this happened after I thought I had made a purchase online with a legit and good credit card but got a message, "charge did not go through" and a suggestion that I use "Western Union." After that, I blew off the site. I got two emails saying they were "waiting for payment" and I replied to "cancel" that I don't pay by Western Union.
All the more to note these are scammers. If they can't get you one way, they'll try another. - KatieI just recieved a call from them and did not who it was, so I googled them. I started reading everything. Some said scam some said legit. I called it was legit. I pulled my bank statement online and verified everything they asked. ITS LEGIT!!!
- Alex CopelandAlways Answer These Types Of Calls - They Have To Pay For Completed Call. Keep Them Talking As Long As Possible With Fake Info So They Have To Pay More.
- Caller: TOLL FREE NUMBER

- Don ToroI received a call from this number last evening. They asked me to simply verify my last 4 tranactions. They then informed me that someone had used my debit card info for three purchases in California. These purchase were not authorized.
I called my bank this am to report this and my bank called their security monitoring company. they informed her that this is bank card security contract company company (similar to LifeLock).
My bank (BancorpSouth) said it legit and it flagged my account after 3 purchases from the ID thieves in CA and closed the account.
BancorpSouth then told me that if you've had this company call you, you can find out about the details by calling 888-797-7711 choose option #15 when the automatic voice answers, then press #0 when the second voice answers.
Hope this helps - Ray| 1 replyIt is a security group to check and make sure you made transactions .They are working on the behalf of your financial institution ,and your behalf to see if transactions were made by you or someone is trying to use your info. They wont ask you for anything that can be used ,like full account number, just enough to make sure .they saved me some money a couple years ago.Latest was from my own transactions.
- Ray replies to RayAfter recalling the number this time they saved me another $175 from someone trying to use my card info. They also put a block on my card for me to cancel
- VictorIt's legit - they had all my 5 past purchase info and only asked for last 4 of credit card - and to verify the phone number they already had. Were they fishing - they would have likely asked for entire cc number as well as ss# to verify account. They didn't. It was legit.
- JMSI can also verify the legitimacy of this number. It was PNC Security (or the company they use for that purpose) calling to verify suspicious activity on my debit card.
- Caller: PNC Bank Security
- AMBThis is a LEGIT 3rd party number that PAYPAL used to verify transactions on your paypal MC debit card.
I guess an attempt to withdrawal a large sum from an ATM triggered the call. Problem is the transaction was declined even though i had enough money for the transaction. Now, I never answer 800 number phone calls but I guess I should of because my phone rang with the number as soon as the first attempt was made. Maybe then the attempt would of been verified and I wouldnt of had to of gone to 3 other ATMs thinking there was something wrong.
Bottom line, LEGIT number to prevent any fraud made to your card.- Caller: 3rd party security for PayPal card services

- SRHJust got this call, answered it, automated message, put me on hold, listened to music for a second and then they hung up.
