I received a call on Friday September 4, 2009 from someone from the Law Offices of Thomas Landry. They spoke of an outstanding debt I have with Chase saying they would like to settle it. I told them to call back because I was at work. They finally called back today Tuesday September 8, 2009, but I didn't answer because it was 8:30 at night. I think I will play with these guys a little but and see what they want me to do. See how far they actually go with this. Thank you all for your input on this number...I am so glad they created google.

I received a phone call on 09/08/09 from this number. I was grocery shopping, I returned the call. The gentleman that answered would not give me his name and hung up on me when I told him that I just missed his call. I called back and apologized for the dropped call. This person became verbally abusive, before I could ask for a supervisor he hung up on me again. I waited to after hours, about 10pm to see if could obtain a voicemail box where I could leave a message for a supervisor to call me back. The voicemail said I have reached the Law Offices of Steve Landis. Im inclined to contact the California State Bar and give them my concerns about the verbal threats and abuse. No attorney office should respond to the public in that demenor, on the contrary when they receive an incoming call, the person calling is probably trying to resolve this matter right away.

Have received several calls from this number asking for Robert Septson(??) who may have had the cell number prior to myself.  Have requested that I be removed from their call list several times.  Informed the caller that I would be taking them to small claims court if they called again.  She hung up before giving me requested info--her name and the name of the ocmpany that she represented.

When my sister tried to get info out of the guy, he got defensive and said I needed to call him ASAP.... I tried calling the number back but the extension the guy gave my Sis was not an active extension.....so now I'm stuck wondering who is this guy or these people how did they find my Sis and not me, and why did they ask my Sis for info about me? Make a complaint to the Do Not Call Registry.  The more complaints they receive, the more likely they are to do something about it.

A Williams James just called asking for a person. He stated that he worked for the law office of Thomas Landis. He asked for someone but was really looking for that persons husband. So why didn't he ask for the person he was looking for? I took a message with the 1-800- 53-4000 number and a reference number. I am glad that i looked this law office up and found this website. It would be interesting to know how they get all of your person informaiton and then some.

I have received several calls from the office of Thomas Landis, Esquire on my phone. They always advise that either I, or my wife, (they use her maiden name) needs to call them. They leave the 800 number and extension 159.
I mentioned it to my wife and she advised that she had received a letter in the mail from the some Thomas Landis law firm about some old account that she still owed on from several years ago. (This was not the case, but she thought it was odd that she would get a letter about an account from several years back, and wasn't sure if she actually even had an account with the company mentioned). I told my wife about researching the 800 number on the internet and getting this site popping up.
I returned the calls after reading all of these posts about them. As soon as I call, they immediately put me on hold before I am able to speak. I initially speak to some male that doesn't identify himself. He asks how he can help me. I asked him why someone from this 800 number is calling and leaving messages on my phone? He asked me if I am (he then gives my wifes first name and maiden last name)? I responded, do I sound like (my wife's name)? He hung up on me.
I called back, again to be put on hold. Ended up with the same guy again. I asked him why he hung up on me? He advised he is very busy and doesn't have time for games. I advised him I don't know who I am speaking to, who he represents, or even why they are calling, and would like to know if anyone is going to advise me. He responded that his name was, (Admittedly, I don't remember). He then advised that he was with the Thomas Landris law firm. I asked him if this is the same firm that has been penalized by the state bar association for illegal practices? He hung up on me again. (OK, now I am determined, cause I have them on the run).
I called again, again was put on hold, (cause we all know how busy they are...) This time I got some woman, (don't know her name). She asked how she can help me. I advised I am still trying to find out why these folks are calling my phone, and what it is that they want. She asked who I was. I advised that they already have my phone number, and it is obviously linked to some file that they have. She said she still needs to know who I am speaking to. I gave her my name. The woman advised that my number had been given to them in an effort to reach some one by the name of (My wife's first name and maiden name). The woman then asked if this was my wife? I said no. The woman then suggested that they knew this is my wife and I am just not being honest with her. I advised her that was not the case, and I still don't know why they are calling my phone. The woman advised that I am being argumentaive and that I am not being honest with her. I advised that is not the case. I then advised that I am not the one that has been penalized by the state bar association. She then hung up.
I am now waiting to see if they call again.

Sucks when you get nailed by a consumer that is on to your scam, huh?

I am calling my state attorney general's office today.

I got calls/messages from this number everyday. It's very annoying. I just filed a complaint according to the website someone provided above. I wonder why there are so many complaints since 2007 and they still haven't stopped this guy?

Repeated harassing calls from an assistant to Thomas Landis Attorney asking if I had an account with a car company I've never done business with.  Wondering if this is a scam.

I also got a call from David and his adjuster Joe Walker making threats to me and calling me at MY WORK. Which is illegal to have any credit/collecting agency to call you at your work attempting to collect a 15 year repo which is no longer in my possession.  I am new to this and I do not know what actions need to be taken to settle this long term issue. If anyone has any number that I can call to report this please send me an email.  This guy was also asking millions of personal questions which is unheard of.

This is a "robo" call to our business office and it leaves a voice-mail message on the General Mailbox for our business. It is from the "Law Office of Thomas Landis". It is simply threatening and provides not substance as to the amount of the debt owed or the I.D. of the creditor who holds the debt. Is there any human out there dumb enough to respond to this sort of harassment or to pay any debt, even if actually owed, in response to this sort of lame waste of time and money? How sad.

They called me and when I asked for their address to send a cease and desist letter, they gave me their address of Four Greenwood SQ #220;  3325 Street Road, when I asked for it. But...they added a twist to it, they gave me my daughter's city, state and zip code (which is in Texas) instead of PA. The call was for her and she doesn't live with me or use my phone number. I don't think they liked the mention of cease and desist letter, attorney (a real one) or attorney general. Like above, they said it was the law office of Thomas Landis. It took me asking four times to get that name out of "Matt". He just kept saying I had reached the law office. When I started grilling "Matt" for more information, like Mr. Landis' bar number, he became very very nervous and said he would take my number off that I didn't need to send a cease and desist letter. Right...a copy is going to the attorney general too.
