I keep getting these calls from "unavailable". I have caller ID, & DO NOT ANSWER 800 #'s unless I recognize it, or they leave me a message saying wtf they are calling for!!  I even tried to pick up on the call, & the phone went dead as soon as I said "Hello"???!!  I have several Sears appliances in my house, & my warranties are up for renewal. Well, guess what, folks?? I ain't gonna pay $450+ for ONE year of coverage!!  I can take my chances of them breaking down!! I might be risking a little cash, but if someone's trying to sell something over the phone, IDENTIFY YOURSELF!!!

Yep, it's Sears alright !!  I called the number back, and talked to a lady.  She said it was "the computer system" calling me.  I told her I was sick of not ~one word being said after I picked up the phone.

I had two appliances that were coming out of warranty, and she wanted to know if I wanted to renew.
I told her under some conditions I might want to renew, but after all of the "totally silent" phone calls, I was NOT interested !!

Called my house at 8:00 this morning I want them to stop calling woke the baby. I hate these people who thank they can call early in the morning..

At 11:07AM I received a call from 1-800-927-2291. After I said " Hello"
at least six times I didn't receive a reply; however the phone line was
still connected. I hung-up!.  I tried recalling the number only just receiving
ringing and no answer.

I am on the Do-Not-Call list and will make a complaint to the Do-Not-Call
list.

Keep getting these d@$m calls do not want the darned extended sears warranty.....they can quit calling...........

I work at one of the call centers for Sears. The system is an auto dialer, so it will call between legal calling times at your listed address. If the dialer detects an answering machine it may skip it or connect to an available associate. Personally, I might be annoyed too if I was getting multiple calls from an 800 number. The system just changed last year and they're working on getting Sear to show up on call I'd when a number is dialed.  The easiest way to stop the calls is just to pick up the phone and to tell the person "take me off your list". All we need is to verify we are speaking to the correct person (so we don't accidently delete an incorrect file) and viola! We take you off the list and the calls stop. I think this might be a similar procedure used with other call centers so I hope this helps out.

geeeez...just got this call...said Toll Free then the number...if it's Sears...it's crappy...

Just phoned the number and spoke to a polite rep about removing me from the call list. He said it could take up to 30 days before all calls will stop. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of the harrassment!

I'm glad this forum is here.... I just got a hang up call from this number no doubt  due to the washer I just bought from sears. I never buy their contracts. Thankfully, I have a block number feature on my phone!

800-927-2291 and 2292  This is a telemarketer calling for sears, third party,  trying to sell extended warranties.  Calls during days, evenings and weekends by auto dialer, this is total BS. They leave no messages just the auto dialer keeps calling. The more sears items you have the increase calls you get. Also no caller ID.  I called back the 800 # , and they say that they can not stop calling unless I give them my name and address.  B___S___ I will not give info if they do already have it.   OH want a supervisor...good luck, we only have one and he is busy with many waiting.  I AM MAD & STOP CALLING!

Calls from 800-927-2291 and 2292  This is a telemarketer calling for sears.  I am on the do not call list, why do they have any more right to disreguard do not call.

I have already called this number and asked to be taken off their call list but they continue to call 2-3 times a day 7 days a week.  Stop calling me.

They call relentlesly from this & another 800 #. I called them back & got a rude woman. She told me I'd have to call their do not call center to be taken off the list. She made stupid noises while she looked for it. I called the # & it says it's for insurance & credit offers & not for businesses. I went to leave info anyway but stopped & hung up when they wanted our SSI #s.

Been getting repeated calls from this number and they don't leave a voicemail.  Three years ago, I made the mistake of buying a washer-dryer and lawn mower from Sears so I must be on their calling list.  The washer dryer has already had problems and the lawn mower is now beyond repair.  Friends of ours are having a months long nightmare of a time getting their Sears washer fixed since Sears keeps claiming they're having  difficulty finding the needed part.  What a load of crap.  Sears is making quick and easy money selling junk to the public and now wants to make even more quick and easy money selling "warranties" on this junk.  We're never buying appliances from Sears again.  Sears does not respect the public and will even call before 9 am peddling these warranties.  If Sears keeps this up, they should not be surprised if they go under like Curcuit City.

Get call constantly all times of the night.  Every 20 minutes or so.  Sometimes they answer sometimes not. They say they are calling about warranty on my appliances.  Have told them to take me off their call list to no avail.  Filed a complaint with the national do not call registry.  Try filing a complaint, maybe if they get enough of them, something will be done!

People I work for this department (and I am sorry to say it but this is my college job).

What you need to do is wait 5 seconds for someone to say hello and tell them who you are and tell them to stop calling. Then let them use you the what we need to say to get you taken off the list and we will do it. We more than understand that we are bugging you because, as all of you know, this is an automatic dialer and it will schedule 20 callbacks before it takes you off automatically. We don't want to bug you because we get the same thing from other people when we get home.) Don't hang up because our managers say that you could be a visitor or a babysitter and call u back at another time. Also if your kids do it, that doesn't qualify.
