I called the number on the back of my Chase credit card and they confirmed there's a fraud alert on my account. When in doubt, call the number on your card.

NOT a scam.  Called # on back of card and they confirmed it was Chase fraud detector.

I have got a computerized message on my answering machine, caller ID displays as CHASE 800-935-9935, totally a different 800 number from all the posts here.
Chase does not recognize this number.
Message is telling that card is being used fraudulently, Chase will send a new card in the mail within 2 weeks.
Both Chase supervisor and manager told that card is in excellent condition, everything is fine.
No new card came in the mail.
Then, people with Asian accent kept calling and asking for some verification and then, Chase will send a new card.
Again, Chase manager said everything is fine and do not give any personal information.
This number is blocked, calls from this number stopped and card statements never showed any fraudulent activity.
I do not know if this is some kind of scam within the CHASE, I have this kind of feeling.

I am not sure about this number 18009559060..I never in my life had a chase card and nor do business with them. My husband got a call today from it a forgiener of course with and odd name. the number does not match the fraud number on chase.com....Never give out your information.

I received a call and they left this number as a callback number for Chase.  I however did not call the number left in the message, but called the number on the back of my card.  They did confirm that this number is a legitimate number directly to their fraud department, and not a scam.  There was a question about my account that they were calling about.

This phone number is the Chase Fraud department. They called base don fraudulent charges on my account.

I got a call from Chase about strange activity on my account.  I talked to them about what type of activity it was but never gave them credit card information, etc.  They actually told *me* about recent charges on my account and asked me to verify if they were legit or not.  They left this number as the number where I should call them back.

After trying to verify the charges with Amazon (unsuccessfully), I called the Chase 800 number on the back of my card.  They knew about the activity and about the previous call.  This pretty much clarifies that the number does, definitely, belong to Chase.

sob's charged my account $ 2.00... didn't receive any call or make any calls. 800 482 talk is bs watch out !!!!

What legitimate person would reply like this??

I have a friend who works for Chase. 18009559060 is a LEGITIMATE* PHONE NUMBER. it is the fraud operations dept. . The bank has different departments that cater different services and there are multiple routers use to designate specific calls to the right department, sometimes or more often the number left on your voicemail is different from the one on the back bec. the one noted on the back is customer services direct phone number (FYI). cardholders have different concerns. they are addressed by different department. for you to feel safe , you may call the number on the back of your card so you can talk to chase card services. If you dont provide the 16 digit number, they will ask the full social sec number to pull it up. that's just one way to access the account, though a lot of customers , don't like giving out the info. automated voice is used as well to so can just use your phone to choose options if you dont want to speak to agents. GUYS, this isn't fraud. Research properly and just don't give comments you are not sure about. I know security is important and I firmly believe Chase knows that and values that too.

This is a legitimate number for Chase. I called the number and the number on the back of my card. Customer Service, from the number on the back of my card, confirmed the Fraud Department had called me. My CID did show a call from Chase, even though it was not the same one given in the message. When I spoke to the person in the Fraud Department, he told me the charges that had been made to my account. I was looking at my account online at the time. He went through them and asked me to verify if I had made them. I confirmed that I had. He explained that some establishment, where I had used my card, had reports of unauthorized activity (he said he could not be more specific than that). In order to safeguard my card, they will close it and reissue one with a new number. When I called Customer Service, I verified that the card has been closed.

All the people posting on here that this is a REAL number are part of the scam. It is not a legitimate number, if you talk to the number on the back of the card they will tell you it is NOT real.

Notice how all the posts follow the same story line.... oh they found a "LARGE" amount of money on "Airline tickets". They aren't real people they are the scammers trying to dispel your fears...

Received a message with this number as the callback number. I called the number on the back of my card to be safe, but the rep confirmed that a member of their fraud department had contacted me. We went over the charges and got everything cleared up. I suggest everyone do the same. Call was legit.

It's not a scam. I called the phone number of my credit card and verify it was from Chase.

This number is totally legitimate.  I received a letter in the mail from the Chase Fraud Department asking me to call immediately in regard to possible fraudulent activity on my Chase credit card.  I was instantly suspicious, as I think most of us are in this day and age. Instead of calling this number, I called the number on the back of my Chase card and asked them to transfer me to the Fraud Department.  Once there, I asked them for their direct phone number and the representative replied with this number - (800) 955-9060.  She stated that they had tried to contact me several times by phone and couldn't reach me, so they sent the letter. We discussed the transaction that triggered the inquiry and everything was taken care of.  Totally legit.
