- Nate| 1 replyReceived call from 224-222-5000. I recently (yesterday) made changes to the account and they needed to verify this. I agree with some of the previous posts that these callers ask very suspicious questions especially coming from an unsolicited call (i.e who my mortgage is with, previous address... i didnt let her get past those two before I called foul). The service rep seems to be from a call center environment and not directly attached to Chase but reports to Chase (this is a VERY common money saving tactic of large companies) as I was put on hold often and the service rep seemed very unsure of herself. After her second question, I explained to her that I was "uncomfortable with the line of questioning from an unsolicited caller and that I would not be answering any more questions." which she accepted with no arguement and provided me with the 800-955-9060 line and also said that I was free to use the number on the back of my card as well.
I understand the need to hire call centers to save time/money/personnel but I will continue to be suspicious of any call that came in like this one and would always defer to the number provided on my card.- Caller: Chase
- Be Careful replies to NateThose who said it's not a scam, are part of the scam. The problem I have is why this operation still exists. Why hasn't Chase done anything?
- conficiousthis is not a scam,,,its chase's fraud operations number...do some reasearch before crying out loud..
- JudyGot sa call - went to message machine. No message but a lot talking and noise in background. I hold no Visa or Chase card so suspect it may not be legit.
- CloudI got a call from Chase Fraud Prevention saying to call this number. I thought it was suspicious and called the number I had found on Chase's site for Fraud Prevention. I talked to a rep and they did confirm this is a valid Chase number.
If you ever think you did get a suspicious call, just call the number on your card. No point in bickering about it on this site.- Caller: Chase
- allaThis is legitimate.
- Caller: Chase Fraud Center
- TomIT IS NOT A SCAM. THOSE WHO SAY IT IS HAVE DONE ZERO RESEARCH AND ARE ONLY ASSUMING BASED UPON THEIR MINIMAL EXPERIENCE IN LIFE. STOP MAKING EVERYONE ELSE PARANOID SINCE YOU CLEARLY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
- MaxThis is the number for Chase's Fraud Department. It is legit.

- Colleen replies to Path docI received a voicemail from this number too with a reference number. I called the number on the back of my card (not the number that they left me 800---955-9060) and used the reference number from the voicemail that I got. The message was valid and there had been fraudulent activty. I was glad that I took the call seriously and called them back.
- DonIt was Pier One...Chase...fraud dept...not a scam as others say.........
- Caller: Pier One -Chase

- JaybeeI got a voicemail from this number, saying they were from Chase Fraud Protection and that there was suspicious activity on my card, and that I should have my full number handy (they had the last four digits) when I called them back. I checked my account online and found nothing odd, then e-mailed Chase, who said that it was definitely a case of "vishing" (pfishing by voice).
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Lnewman replies to Path docWhen I called it was legitmate. I would call the number on the back of your card to confirm. But it was in fact the same company.
- JamesCalled the number on the back of my Chase card and verified that this is a real number. If you don't believe it, just do what other people are suggesting... call the number on the back of your card!
- Caller: Chase
- maryanaid| 1 replyGot a vm to my work # saying there was a suspicious activity on my Chase account, and left this # 8009559060 to call back with the 5-digit ref #. The number to call does not match Chase customer service on the back on my card. Scam.
- chaseemployeeIts not a scam .. 800 955 9060 and 800 654 9214 are valid numbers for Chase Fraud Prevention Dept.
- Caller: Chase Fraud Prevention
- Pinky replies to Path doc800-955-9060 is a legitimate phone number with Chase. However, because I did not recognize the area code (480) when they called me, I let the call go into voicemail. To make myself feel better, I called the number on the back of my credit card instead. BTW, there was fraudulent activity on my credit card, but they cancelled my old number and issued me a new card. Its a bummer to deal with this kind of crap.
- Will TThis number is legitimate. Just to be safe, I called the number on the back of my card and gave them the reference number. They verified that there were suspicious charges on my account.

- RichardGot the call myself today from 480-902-6000, identifying themselves as Chase Fraud dept. and they left a message to call them back at 800-955-9060. Called the number of the back of my Chase credit card, the one on the credit card website, and the 800-955-9060 number. I was unable to access my account with just my last four digits from all 3 and the error message was consistent on all three attempts. I finally provided my whole card # to a rep at the number found on the back of the card and they asked me about a $3500+ charge from today for anntaylor.com. It was definately not mine, plus there was another charge and credit from today that I didn't recognize so we closed the account immediately and they've opened a new one for me. This was a legitimate call.
